The reception area looked impressive but that is where it ended. The room ( one of the expensive ones) had not been updated in Approx 30 years and it looked like a bad handyman built it. The cleanliness was really bad. Basically the whole place needs a major renovation or to be bulldozed and rebuilt. Steak at dinner was ok. Breakfast sub standard. People working there friendly and wanted to please. If this is the best hotel in town I would hate to see the worst.

Great stop over on our way to the coast. They were very accommodating with our pets. Good value for money, big space, nice pool.

A tremendous breakfast. Room and bathroom was large. Air conditioner was great. Plenty of parking. The architecture and art found throughout the hotel was impressive. A beautiful facility.

There was not much I didn't like. Everything was spectacular. Maybe, the restaurant was a little expensive.

The room was modern and clean and the hotel grounds were lovely.

Sadly the facility needs some work. The description is out of date as there is no jacuzzi and the gym appears to be only there so they can say they have one. The room where the guy was located smelled and the equipment was old and looked dangerous. However the worst part of the hotel was the restaurant. A lovely setting spoiled by terrible service. Both dinner and lunch took Avery long time to be served and both had items advertised on the menu that they did not have. The lunch salad was very expensive for basically lettuce, tomato and some chicken. Dinner took an hour to arrive from when we walked in and looked nothing like the picture in the menu. They advertised sea bass and charged sea bass prices but we were informed they didn’t have any, so was replaced with, what we imagine was tilapia, but difficult to tell as it was smothered in a sauce of some kind. They sides were only luke warm. Fortunately breakfast was a buffet! They would be a great candidate fora TV show, restaurant make over. I ‘m sure the first person to go would be the restaurant manager.

Great, central location, spacious rooms and pool, beautiful gardens. All very clean and well maintained.

The gym was not available.

The breakfast was okay. Nothing too spectacular compared to all of the places we stayed and some of the other places were more modest. In the ad we were expecting a buffet. That happened the first day, but the second day it was service. I loved the natural background. I couldn't hear the busy road at all. I heard birds in the morning and it was very peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. The baths were clean. Parking was great and there was a guard at the hotel 24-7. One evening a host came around and provided us with courtesy chocolates. Staff were nice and courteous.

I gave the place an overall very poor rating because we asked for our clothes to be cleaned. The last placed we had our clothes cleaned it cost $5.00. When we had our clothes cleaned at Hotel Zaracay, it cost $60--more than we paid on our room for a night. I felt really ripped off. They charged $2.75 per T-shirt and categorized it as a blouse. With prices like that, they should have provided us the list of costs. Maybe next time, they will charge $40 for an extra bar of soap!!! The pool was freezing and unusable. There were no options for drinks because of some weird rule going on in Santo Domingo.
