Secluded Villa with private pool and large garden
Casa Do Capitao è un'incantevole villa bifamiliare con due camere da letto posizionata alla fine di un tranquillo cul-de-sac su un piccolo sviluppo a Ferragudo e si affaccia su una campagna aperta con vista sulle colline di Monchique. Ferragudo è un affascinante villaggio di pescatori situato sul lato orientale del fiume Arade, di fronte alla famosa località di Praia da Rocha e alla città mercato e al porto turistico di Portimão. Ferragudo offre tutto per una vacanza rilassante e ha una storica piazza centrale e caratteristici vicoli acciottolati. Il villaggio è ben posizionato per lo shopping, il golf, il tennis, le spiagge di sabbia soffice e altri luoghi di interesse e attività.
C'è un sentiero lastricato dalla villa che offre una scorciatoia per la strada del villaggio con caffè, vari ristoranti, un negozio di alimentari e un chimico tutti a meno di 5 minuti a piedi. Abbiamo acquistato questa proprietà nel 2017 e abbiamo già apportato numerosi miglioramenti. Entrambi i bagni sono stati completamente rinnovati.
Il bagno al piano inferiore ora ha una cabina doccia e il bagno al piano superiore ha una vasca e una cabina doccia. Entrambe le camere sono state anche rinnovate con nuovi letti singoli e la camera principale ora ha un letto super king.
La proprietà è completamente recintata e recintata e gode di un ampio giardino ben curato e maturo. Ci sono splendide viste sulle colline di Monchique in lontananza. La villa ha una bellissima piscina riscaldata piastrellata blu.
La villa è arredata in modo attraente e confortevole e vanta alcuni extra per i visitatori come aria condizionata, riscaldamento della piscina, Wi-Fi con internet e ricezione TV, zanzariere attrezzate e tapparelle elettriche. Ci sono lettini con ombrelloni e tavoli e sedie esterni per 6 persone. Abbiamo anche aggiunto un tradizionale bar-b-q portoghese.

We had a fabulous week in Ferragudo. The Villa is beautiful - spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and in a lovely corner spot; not overlooked and it’s secure around the perimeter so we didn’t have to worry about the children getting out! The pool was great and there were some inflatables too - hours of fun for the kids.
We considered hiring a car but didn’t need it in the end. It’s a short distance to the town / restaurants and only 15 mins’ walk to the beach.
Ferragudo itself we found charming. It strikes a good balance between being unspoilt by tourists but still having everything you need (nice restaurants, a few good shops, boat tours etc).
It was also a great experience communicating with the Villa managers, Rosemary and Nicola, who were on hand to help, and the owners, Paul and Katy, who gave us helpful advice, including the best local restaurants to try. The cleaning lady, Maria, was so friendly too. The lovely welcome and these personal touches were the icing on the cake - we hope to return!

Myself, my wife and my daughter stayed in this beautiful villa for two weeks this July. I have given the villa a 5 star rating and it really is. The villa is beautifully decorated with every amenity you could possibly need when on holiday. The pool area and gardens are fabulous. All sun loungers and parasols are of the finest quality. The location is superb....a 10 min stroll to the town centre. If you're looking for a two bed villa with it's own pool close to Ferragudo town centre then look no further.

From the moment we entered the villa we felt at home. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are light and airy with comfy bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need. Outside is a lovely well kept garden and the swimming pool is the perfect size. Your 10 minutes walk from a lovely beach and great restaurants only 5 minutes away. Needless to say we will definitely return. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely villa

We had an amazing stay in this villa.
Such a gorgeous setting with wonderful views of the countryside and so quiet. Within walking distance of town centre and beaches and lovely cliff top walks.
The villa is clean and modern with comfortable beds and furniture. Bathrooms both modern and clean.
Th gardens and pool area are absolutely stunning. We are keen gardeners ourselves and it was such a treat sitting and relaxing and enjoying the flowers and plants.
Thanks Katy and Paul for letting us stay. Communication has been excellent. I hope we can stay again soon.

5. Pool is clean and easy to use. I recommend paying to have it heated.
6. The town is small, charming and not over run with tourists.
7. Unless your stay is short, you need a car.
The only downside is the property is devoid of any kitchen food basics. No salt, not a single roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper, no pepper or basic spices. In other words, plan on an immediate grocery store trip to a well stocked store.

A lovely property in the lovely coastal resort of Farragudo. Ideally positioned a short distance away from the main hub and beach. Pool was lovely. We found it was great value for money. The management of the check in was very professional. The opportunity to pre order some shopping was liked. The only downside from our side was that other than the limited shopping we pre-ordered there were no additional touches e.g. welcome wine, hand soap, extra loo rolls, kitchen roll etc. so found we had to go shopping on the first day anyway! Appreciate it is 'self catering' but we would have preferred to pay a little more and had the added touches. But minor point!

My wife, kids and I had a fabulous time staying at Casa do Capitão.
The villa is perfect, it is beautiful and very tastefully decorated, has everything you could ever want and more.
The highlight for us was the outdoor area, we spent most of our time there offering loads of room and is private with a great view.
It is only a short walk to the town and two main beaches, so a hire car is not necessary.
Thank you to Katy and Paul (owners), Nicola and Rosemary (villa managers), for making the whole experience seamless.
We will definitely be back!

The villa is tastefully decorated throughout, and spotlessly clean.
The garden is beautiful and well maintained as is the pool and surrounding area. It must be said though the pool has no shallow end and is the one depth for the entire length, while not an issue for us it could be a consideration for someone with small children. It is around 5ft deep for the full length.
The communication with the management company was good and Nicola was very helpful.
The location is great and walking to the town is made easier by the footpath and the end of the row. there are a couple of restaurants at the bottom of the footpath within a 5 min walk from the property.
We had a very pleasant stay, and enjoyed sitting the the garden in the evening. The BBQ in the garden is great.

We've just returned from an amazing 2 weeks at Casa Do Capitao. The villa was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the beds were really comfortable. The garden and pool were also great - we paid extra to have the pool heated because it was early in the season and this was the right thing to do. The children spent hours in there! We decided not to hire a car and this worked out fine. We got taxi transfers from the airport, Ferragudo town centre is a short walk away and the beach is about 15 minutes walk. There are several small supermarkets in the town and the nearest big supermarket (Lidl) took about 30 minutes to walk to or we got an Uber. We found Uber was reliable and inexpensive for getting to nearby towns too. Ferragudo is a lovely town with lots of restaurants but without feeling too touristy. The beaches were large, sandy and not too busy (at Easter anyway). We definitely plan to return!

Absolut perfekt!
Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es hatte schon mit einer Top-Vorbereitung und Kommunikation gestartet. Alles sehr freundlich und professionell. Paul und Katy waren mega, hatten den Pool vorgeheizt und Ausflugstipps gegeben, Selbst als wir schon einen Tag früher anreisen wollten, war das kein Problem. Auch vor Ort war die Betreuung durch Nicola einwandfrei. Wir haben selten ein so perfektes Haus bewohnt. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, die Betten sind richtig bequem und alles ist sehr neuwertig. Der Garten und der Pool sind groß und das Haus liegt am Ende einer Sackgasse und ist somit ruhig gelegen. Abseits gelegen fanden wir es überhaupt nicht, zu den Stränden sind es max. 10 Minuten zu Fuß und in die Altstadt max 5 Minuten. Das Haus ist perfekt um verschiedene Küstenorte und Strände zu entdecken und mit Kindern einfach unglaublich praktisch. Wir haben die Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Danke an Katy, Paul und Nicola!

Très belle maison avec piscine et jardin très bien entretenue,
Maison spacieuse et fonctionnelle avec tous le nécessaire sur place. (Et merci aux personnes qui s’occupent de l’entretien, ménage, jardin et piscine qui sont très agréables)

Great experience!
We had a wonderful time at this house on our trip in December; it was very well equiped and furnished, and didn't lack of anything. The house felt very warm and welcoming. Our only issue was the pool's temperature. We had paid for it's heating, but since we were in the middle of winter, it wasn't set up high enough to be enjoyable. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Moradia excelente para umas boas férias. Bem equipada, bem mobilada, com espaços exteriores muito bem cuidados, bem situada com supermercado, padaria, restaurantes e outros serviços nas imediações, sem necessitar de se deslocar com a viatura.
Excelente acompanhamento do gestor da propriedade, fornecendo todas as informações importantes e disponibilidade para esclarecer e resolver situações, sempre que foi necessário. A repetir a nossa experiência num futuro próximo!

This is a lovely very well maintained spacious property with fantastic outside space.
The house is well equipped with everything that you need for a stay including a range of English TV channels.
Located a short walk from the centre of the village and the beach.
Loved our stay and would not hesitate to return should we visit Ferragudo again.

Es handelt sich um ein schön ruhig gelegenenes Haus, schöner Garten, das auf den ersten Blick schön sauber ist, aber auf den zweiten: Unter den Betten, Tür-Fensterrahmen, Freisitzplattenboden, Polstergarnitur durchgesessen, Elternbettmatratzen durchgelegen, Poolwasser nach Reinigung „milchig“, .....für den Preis .... ?

Amazing villa and location
We have had the best week here. The villa and grounds are stunning. The location was perfect and although we’ve had a car you really don’t need one. The contact with the management company was excellent and it was a nice touch for Nicola to come and meet us. We would definitely stay here again!!

Loved it even more than last year.
A large, welcoming villa, set in beautiful grounds with an exceptionally outside space. We love all the recent renovations and personal touches and feel very much at home here. Great restaurants and a superb beach are all in walking distance. We are looking forward to visiting again.

A wonderful villa!
We really enjoyed our 12 night stay in this lovely villa. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the beds were very comfortable and the spacious outdoor area was fantastic. We had hot and sunny weather the whole time, so we made full use of the pool and had several al fresco meals.
We loved the fact that you can walk down into the village in less than 10 minutes. We ate at most of the restaurants and frequented a couple of the bars. We drove out to Burgau, Praia da Luz and Silves and also took the taxi ferry to Portimao. It felt like our own private ferry, as we were the only passengers on both the outward and return trips!
We have stayed in many villas over the years, but this has been the best, mainly due to the secluded position, the lovely views and the general comfort. We are already in the process of booking for next year.

Lovely stay in Ferragudo
The property was really lovely and just what we needed. The grounds were beautiful and pool was great. It was in a great location as only a few minutes walk in to town and not far from the beach.

Stunning villa in a beautiful setting. Fantastic
Everything about our family stay here was ideal. There was excellent communication with our host Katy and the villa exceeded our expections. In a secluded location overlooking the hillside, this spacious villa was beautiful both inside and out. Very clean and well-equipped, Katy provided little touches to make it extremely welcoming. The large pool was inviting and well maintained and for beach lovers, a stunning beach was only short walk away. At the nearby town square and quayside you could eat out in a selection of restaurants (O Canto was fantastic) and take a picturesque water taxi to Portimao (or land taxi). We have already rebooked for next year at this great location. Can’t wait.

Jewell in the Crown (well Ferragudo)
...it was my first visit to the property and having heard lots about it, my expectations were still exceeded.
The property was in a quite cul de sac with gated parking. A spacious garden and pool area, which had views over fields towards to mountains and was not overlooked.
Inside was as advertised and as already pointed out, exceeded the description given.
It was an excellent location for my exploration of the Algarve, which has changed somewhat having last visited the area some 40 years ago, being central to both East and West days out.
The town of Ferragudo, five minutes walk from the property, was unspoilt, quaint and there was lots to explore in respect of restaurants, bars and shops. The local beach was a ten minute walk with great views and a nice beach bar.
I would HIGHLY recommend this place to stay and I will be booking again in 2019, love this place.

Perfect location walkable to town and beach
Lovely well appointed comfortable, quiet 2 bedroomed villa with a well kept garden and pool with beautiful views over the countryside. Easily walkable to the main square full of cafes and bars and to the beautiful beach. Will definitely be revisiting.

Totally Impressed, what a find.
The villa its self is fabulous, wonderful position with a huge garden and pool which could not be more private. Its owners have taken time and thought into its decoration as well. Its location in our opinion could not be bettered, its literally 5 mins walk into the fabulous square of Ferragudo with its range of resteraunts and bars, walk the other way for 7 mins and your onto one of the best beaches in the Algarve, Praia Grande. So pleased we found this gem, we will be back later this year.

The perfect place on the Algarve
Fantastic villa, perfectly placed for a 5 minute walk into the pretty port of Ferraguda with its restaurants, bars and beaches. The new owners have already started to invest in the property and provided excellent guidance and recommendations for a fantastic 10 days. After a day out sight seeing the large pool is ideal for cooling down, and the outside seating area perfect for enjoying a BBQ. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
