Good location, small and compact but a perfect base for our travels.
It was clean and comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming.

The setting, peaceful and pretty. Everything I needed was provided. Friendly and helpful owners. Located equally between Southwold and Aldeburgh both of which I wanted to visit. Also Dunwich Heath very close by, great place for walking, also peaceful and on the coast.
I didn't particularly like washing up dishes in bathroom sink but knew that was the case when I booked. A very small thing as the rest of the apartment is lovely.

It was in a private location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owner made a point of introducing themselves to make us feel at home as well which was a lovely touch.

Where shall i start?...the loft was a pleasure to stay in, equipped with everything you need, it felt like being in a fairytale. Barbara the owner and her husband were the nicest people you could possibly meet. My friend an I visited the area for the Latitude festival and with no car and a shortage of taxis available they both offered lifts from and to the train station and the festival. Highly recommended

Limited standing room due to sloped roof. Man cannot stand up to take a pee. Frequently hitting head on ceiling.

Was a lovely location to be in away from the crowds of a busy hotel. Was basically an en suite kingsize room, with the addition of a large table and chairs, a microwave, a toaster, and importantly a fridge! Which meant a nice cold beer or glass of wine after a day's walking, and a place to store milk and keep items cool. The en suite was compact, and a nice size shower with plenty hot water. The owners were very good in seeing to my needs, when I asked for a dining chair to be able to sit higher, Barbara came with one within minutes. Was told I could go into their garden and sit to read if needed. I aim to make a return to do the rest of he places I didn't get to see soon!
Two things of which I didnt like, was having to wash breakfast dishes and glasses using the bathroom sink. The other dislike was the poor wifi, of which the signal had to come from the main hub, which was 50 yards away in the house. I did mention this to the owner, but couldnt really do anything about it. A simple plug-in wifi booster in the room would solve it. I was needing to do some online banking and despite a few efforts was unable to get fully connected.

We stayed at The Apple Loft mid-April 2024 and found it clean, with a comfortable bed, within walking distance of two pubs (no more than 5 minutes to the furthest one) and in a great location for RSPB Minsmere. It is a compact space, but had everything we needed for a two night stay and overall we were pleased with the physical accommodation.
The Apple Loft is located in what we would imagine is normally a very quiet area, where the mornings could be peaceful, and the birdsong clearly audible. Sadly during our visit there were no peaceful mornings due to the building construction site two doors down, which kicked into gear before 7.30am on both mornings we were there, and which was still going at 6pm on our second day there.
This visit was for my 50th birthday and I was so looking forward to some tranquil lie ins instead of my usual early morning starts for work. Instead we had a constant drone from what we assume may have been a generator along with other construction noise, including beeping from reversing vehicles.
Whilst we totally understand that this issue is out of the owners' control, we were not told of this prior to our visit. We feel that for something as noticable as this, and in a location people may be choosing for some quiet time away, we should have been advised of it before our visit, and we are somewhat unhappy that we were not. I do hope that guests booked to stay in the coming weeks are made aware up front of the current situation.
This was a memorable 50th birthday but sadly not all of it for the right reasons.

A nice compact but comfortable room with attached bathroom above a garage block on a private residential property. It was perfect for a couple of days while in the area. The room sleeps two persons in a double bed, toaster, fridge, microwave and plates and cutlery all provided. Hosts nice and friendly. The village has a small pub which does meals, but was fully booked when we were there, however our hosts also own a pub/restaurant in a neighbouring village five minutes drive away, very good meals, and well priced. Good beer as well,
You need to be able to climb a short flight of stairs to access the room, so be aware

Nice comfortable bed. Good en-suite. Mirror and plug available to dry your hair. Everything you need to do your own tea, coffee , breakfast and microwave meals.
Felt a bit wary on the stairs up to the loft.

Brilliant location and a very comfortable bed. The room was thoughtfully laid out and well provisioned with nice touches which made staying there easy and relaxing. The hosts struck a great balance between a friendly welcome and giving space.
My phone did struggle a little with the wifi connection.

Lovely cosy place within beautiful grounds. We stayed for 2 nights , exploring the area, and would highly recommend the Apple Loft. Bed was comfy,it had everything you need , including a hairdryer. Size of the room was adequate for 2 people staying a few days. Barbara is a lovely host , very friendly and helpful.

The location of apple loft is beautiful. It’s comfortable enough for what we needed and is suitable for a short break. Anyone wanting to stay a week or more may struggle due to lack of cooking facilities, but we ate out so it wasn’t an issue.
I didn’t like having to wash up in the bathroom sink as it’s unhygienic. The stairs outside are a little unsafe ( lack of grip, steep and rickety) and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. The advert says apartment with stairs to upper floors but it’s one bedroom above a garage so may be a little misleading. Privacy is hit and Miss as the windows all look directly into the main house and vice versa. The main window is sealed which meant needing the door undone to allow airflow, in the case of a fire there’s no exit suitable and no fire safety equipment in the room.

self catering apartment which is lovely , right in the heart of westleton , just 5 minutes from local pub , the owners also own the fox inn at darsham which also serves fantastic food and just a five minute driveway , barbara and philip are always charming hosts , we have been here for 4 straight years now and will definitely be back next year .
wi fi was a little bit hit and miss but its not really that much of an issue .

Lovely two night June midweek break to recharge batteries, met by owner Barbara who was lovely and this quirky Apple Loft is set in beautiful grounds that as a guest you can use. Blessed with lovely weather and enjoyed a bottle of wine in the garden prior to a lovely meal at the nearby Crown. Comfortable accommodation with lots to do locally, spent almost a day at Minsmere and visited some old haunts. Pleasure to stay and if you are thinking of booking for a short break would recommend Westleton and the Apple Loft…..thank you Barbara

I was on a birding trip to nearby RSPB Minsmere, and the Apple Loft was the ideal base, being just an eight minute drive away. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm, and comfortable located in Westleton, a quaint little village. Overall, I had a great stay at the Apple Loft and would highly recommend it. I'll be back!

We were made to feel very welcome by Phillip, the owner, and also had good pre arrival instructions ,, the apartment was well equipped and we had everything we needed, we found the spacious bed to be be comfortable and the room warm and cozy and soon got used to the sloping ceilings. Nice rural location, two village pubs and walking routes from the door,, All good
