op de woning op zich valt niets aan te merken. alles ziet er schoon en netjes uit. de eigenaar en zijn vrouw doen er alles aan om je verblijf aangenaam te maken. een hartelijk welkom viel ons ten deel. handdoeken en linnen zijn in voldoende mate aanwezig. wij vonden het bed ook erg lekker liggen. wat wel jammer is, is het enigszins gedateerd meubilair dat niet erg comfortabel zit. omdat het in onze eerste week een aantal dagen heeft geregend, is het jammer dat de patio niet overdekt is. nu hebben we een aantal keren alle kussens naar binnen moeten brengen. ook die van de stoelen bij de tafel. de weg naar het strand en dus ook naar het dorp is op enkele plaatsen erg steil. een wandeling daarheen zal zeker behoorlijk wat moeite kosten en is eigenlijk niet te doen. zeer gastvrij en verder een heerlijke rustige plek net buiten het dorp.

La casa es lugar precioso y tranquilo con unas vistas extraordinarias. El mobiliario era muy cónfortable, bastante nuevo y la decoración perfecta para estar como en casa. No le faltaba un detalle. Un lugar donde relajarse y pasar unas deliciosas vacaciones. Emilio y Rosa estuvieron en los detalles para que no nos faltara de nada. Muy amables y diligentes. Repetiremos en cuanto se pueda.

Het huis van Emilio en Rosa ligt op zo’n 3km rijden van het dorp. Gelegen op de berg met een prachtig uitzicht waar je vanaf het terras optimaal van kunt genieten. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, zelfs de vaatwastabletten en wasmiddel mag je gebruiken. Het zwembad ligt op 30m loopafstand en groot genoeg. Naast dat Emilio en Rosa je hartelijk ontvangen blijven ze ook tijdens je verblijf heel gastvrij en geven tips voor plekken die je kunt bezoeken, restaurants en wijn die je moet proberen. Zeer gastvrij en een heerlijk rustige plek net buiten la Herradura.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette propriété. La Herradura est une charmante petite station assez calme par rapport aux autres stations environnantes. La proximité de la mer et des montagnes donne des paysages magnifiques. La propriété dispose de tout ce dont nous avions besoin et que dire de sa terrasse sur laquelle nous avons passé la majeure partie de notre temps. La vue sur La Herradura, la mer et les montagnes y est fantastique. Les propriétaires, Emilio et Rosa sont extrêmement accueillants et très disponibles. De plus nous avons reçu des tas de conseils très détaillés sur les lieux à visiter, les restaurants, magasins etc .... Bref nous n'avons eu qu'un seul regret : que nos vacances soient terminées ! We have been renting houses for the past 20 years and I have to say that this has to be one of the best experiences we had. We were impressed how nice Emilio and Rosa were. From the first email exchange to welcoming us in person, to the little attentions that do make all the difference (providing toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, body lotion, plenty of towels), you feel like you are enjoying a friend's house, not just a rental. What else can we add? Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, the whole apartment is comfy, although you just want to be on the terrace all the time! Like everybody else, we just couldn’t get enough of the view, the terrace is absolutely wonderful!!! The weather was splendid (we were there from June 16th to 23rd), between 21-28 degrees. There are many walking/hiking trails that leave from La Herradura, from easy to difficult. Finally, Emilio will provide all the information you need on where to eat, drink and shop, you are in good hands in a very nice spot. All that made it very hard to leave!

This villa really was a home from home with beautiful furnishings throughout and a fantastic patio with lots of plants and comfortable seating. In fact being so cosy it was hard to find the motivation to go out anywhere but there is plenty to do in the area and La Herradura is not over commercialised. We visited Granada ( 1 hour by car) which is lovely and the road up in to the Sierra Nevada is a stunning drive with lots of very impressive bridges. Malaga is a beautiful city outside of the airport and we loved it.We walked the Los Cahorros Gorge...simply stunning and very exciting and kayaked round the coast with a guided group ( from Maro beach not Nerja which is much less touristy). We also enjoyed the shared pool every evening ...when we had it to ourselves! The host Emilio will give you lots of helpful advice about the area and good places to eat ...we especially liked the "Dorada plato " restaurant at the end of the beach in Almunecar where they BBQ fish outside in an old boat...the best fish ever and a lovely clean restaurant. Overall a really relaxing and inexpensive holiday...thoroughly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in La Herradura. The house is fully equipped and the layout was very practical. The view from the terraces and living room is unbelievable. We spent hours just starring at the changing colours along the day. Emilio and Rosa are the perfect hosts with abundant information shared before and during the stay. Thank you for this experience

It is difficult to describe the stunning view from the terrace, the photos on the website do not do it justice. The seating area outside is like a second living room, with a dining table outside as well. For a family of four the property was plenty big enough, with a bathroom upstairs and a second toilet downstairs. The community pool is close by and well maintained. Although the neighbouring properties were close by, people were respectful and did not play music or make noise past midnight. A car was needed to drive down into La Herradura, which took around 5 mins. During August the parking was very competitive in La Herradura itself, so you had to go early or pay for parking to get a place. The property was perfectly placed for car journeys to Granada, Nerja, Almuñécar, Motril and Malaga. Also if you are prepared to drive a bit further, Seville and Gibraltar are also accessible, both destinations we visited and loved. Being British and loving a cup of tea, the only thing I couldn’t find in the kitchen was a kettle........a minor inconvenience on what was otherwise a perfect holiday :-)

Une location fantastique, très propre, tout confort. La maison bénéficie d'une fraîcheur tout a fait agréable avec une terrasse très bien aménagée. Nous n'avons eu recours que très exceptionnellement à la climatisation (et encore que pour l'étage des chambres, la cuisine et le salon étant au rdc et sont protégés par la terrasse). Le linge fourni (draps et serviettes de toilette) est très confortable et neuf. La cuisine est bien équipée et bénéficie d'un fond de cuisine (sel, vinaigre, ...) agréable. Il faut impérativement une voiture car l'endroit est relativement isolé. La piscine partagée est relativement grande mais hélas victime de son succès et parfois bien occupée. Heureusement, la Herradura et son immense plage de sable gris facilement accessible (pas de problème pour s'y garer) ne sont qu'à 15 mn en voiture. De plus, dans le garage, vous trouverez des équipements de plage, dont un parasol bien utile dans cette région. Cerise sur le gâteau, les hôtes, Rosa et Emilio, sont vraiment attentifs et donnent beaucoup de conseils touristiques fort pratiques. Ils sont disponibles et Emilio parle très bien français. Une location exceptionnelle dans laquelle nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Merci à Rosa et Emilio. A bientôt. Evelyne

La Herradura is the perfect place to visit if you’re looking for a place that is both quiet but also has a pulse, nice beach and great restaurants. Emilio and Rosas house is located on top of a mountain (you need a car) overlooking the bay with amazing views from the large terrace. The terrace is also were we spent most of the time having dinner or relaxing. It’s like a dining room outside. The rest of the house was perfect for our family with two airconditioned bedrooms and a large bathroom on the top floor and a fully equipped kitchen (we love to cook and we didn’t miss anything), a salon, a toilet and the terrace on the bottom floor. There is also a nice pool area with tennis courts and the same amazing views. In summary, a marvelous house in a lovely little town. The best part though is Emilio and Rosa who made us feel like home and as if we’ve known each other for years. They made an effort to make sure that our vacation was perfect. We will definitely come back to la Herradura and when we do, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Basically the best place we’ve rented ever.

Unser Urlaub in La Herradura war sehr schön und erholsam. Die Wohnung ist sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und komplett ausgestattet. Sie liegt in ruhiger Umgebung am Berg. Ein Mietwagen ist erforderlich. Die Aussicht über die Bucht ist unbeschreiblich schön. Rosa und Emilio sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die uns mit guten Tipps für Ausflüge, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants versorgt haben. Muchas gracias y saludos a Rosa y Emilio.

... nicht nur auf die Bucht von La Herradura sondern auch auf einen tollen Urlaub. Rosa und Emilio sind sehr aufmerksame und tolle Gastgeber. Bereits vor der Reise haben wir viele gute Tipps bekommen: Ausflüge, Restaurants und Supermärkte etc. Auch während unseres Aufenthalts waren sie immer erreichbar und haben sich sofort um Alles gekümmert. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und die Küche für die Selbstversorgung gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt! Auch der Pool läd zum erholen und erfrischen ein. Die gesamte Anlage ist gut gepflegt und überwacht. Rund um La Herradura gibt es einiges zu entdecken Nerja, Solabreno und vieles mehr. Ein Mietwagen ist ein Muss um die kurvige und steile Straße zu bewältigen. Emilio und Rosa sind ganz besondere Gastgeber - einen Urlaub in ihrem tollen Haus können wir nur empfehlen!

Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft entspricht vollständig der Realität. Die Ausstattung ist sehr komfortabel und umfangreich, es ist überall zu sehen, dass die Vermieter auch selbst hier gern wohnen. Wir fühlten uns wie Zuhause und haben nichts vermisst. Die Terrasse ist sicher die schönste in ganz Herradura, der Blick auf die Bucht herausragend, wir haben die Tage hier sehr genossen. Ein Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen, so ist auch jedwede Versorgung sichergestellt. Die herzlichen Gastgeber, Rosa und Emilio, stellen einen reibungslosen Urlaub sicher und sind zudem äußerst sympathisch. Zahlreiche Tipps für die vielen attraktiven Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung gibt es dazu. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft in jeder Hinsicht und sehr gerne.

L appartement est décoré avec infiniment de gout et la terrasse est spacieuse et offre des vues sur la mer merveilleuses. Mais plus que tout c est l hospitalité et l'accueil d Emilio et sa femme qui sont exceptionnels. Jamais nous n avons reçu autant de conseils sur les achats, les visites et les restaurants aux environs. On sent qu Emilio a à coeur de nous faire passer un sejour le plus réussi possible. De superbes vacances en famille dans une belle maison à la vue splendide. Emilio et Rosa nous ont réservé un bel accueil et des conseils nombreux et très utiles. La terrasse est une pièce à part entière où nous avons passé la plus part du temps car il y fait bon ( pas trop chaud ) et qu'on ne se lasse pas de la vue. La plage en contrebas est très agréable, et même si la voiture est nécessaire, il a été facile de se garer. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et conseillons cette location.

It is also very clean. - the view from the appartment is fantastic, - it is very quiet, the view from the swimming pool is also fantastic and the swimming is not crowded, - the owner is so nice and he gives you more information than you expect to ! You have two floors (one with the bedrooms and the bathroom)(the other with kitchen and living room) both comunicated by a nice stairs. The appartment is at the top of a hill so you have 10 minutes drive to reach the beach but the area is so pleasant that it is a really pleasant drive. You can always park on the beach because "la Herradura" is not crowded. To conclude, everything was perfect.

...nothing!!! We had everything we needed: good beds, loose towels, comfortable couches, fully equipped kitchen, stunning views, refreshing pool, good-lights-to-read-in-the-evening (quite rare) and last but not least: great hosts! We would give it a chance, if we were you!
