Lakeview cabin on stunning Lake Vermilion
Questa cabina con due camere da letto è il perfetto mix di comfort moderni e rifugio nord. Situato al Roy's Last Resort di Tower, MN fa parte del nostro quasi tre resort in cabina sul lago Vermilion (Bayview Fireside è la nostra altra cabina di noleggio su VRBO). Ha un bagno completo, cucina attrezzata, wifi e TV a schermo piatto. L'intero posto è adornato con soffitti e pareti di pino nodoso. Our cabin was located right next door to Tavern on the Bay which was HQ for our fishing tournament. Roy and his wife were great and the 6 day stay was fantastic!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the cabin, beach and the pontoon. Also, loved that it’s dog friendly! The hosts are incredible - so kind, helpful and personable. Couldn’t have asked for a better week.

The property and hosts (Denise, Roy and Otto) were tremendous! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Perfect location and the fishing was great, our stay was much too short! Looking forward to our trip next year. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy nature and loves fishing

The cabin was clean with a clear view and access of the lake, the property owners were great, our puppy had a great time learning to swim. The living room was extremely narrow and hard to maneuver around with 2 people and a puppy, but there were big windows to take in the view. Beds were comfortable, kitchen equipped with all the essentials including heat and cooling, it was quiet at night. I would recommend this to anyone who's visit is primarily for fishing or just desiring spending their time on the lake as there is not much beach space. There is ample dock space and a nice pontoon boat to rent by the day. Dogs being welcome as long as they are controlled was a huge plus factor for us as was the convenient tavern/eatery next door.

My 2 teen age grandsons (14 & 17) made our 2nd annual grouse hunting trip to Northern MN.
Despite rainy conditions, they had a great time, bringing 8 ruffed grouse back to Blaine, MN to share with family! Yum!
Cabin was just as listed in VRBO—older but clean, comfortable beds, nice appliances. Owners pleasant and helpful.

Nice small cabin on beautiful Lake Vermillion.

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. The on site hosts Roy and Diane were fantastic! Courtney was great getting us set up and booked and gave us excellent directions to the cabin and precise information regarding check in, The view was great and there is even a bar/ restaurant just feet away. It was peaceful and serene. Our neighboring cabin folks caught their limit daily! We would definitely go back again.

The cabin was clean, roomy enough to sleep five adults, with Wi-Fi, TV, and great dock access. Roy was a great host, giving us plenty of helpful fishing tips. We really enjoyed our stay.

The cabin needs some improvements
The bathroom fluorescent light does not work. The basic items like soap, wash cloths, salt and pepper were not furnished. The kitchen needs more glasses.

It would have been small for a lot of people but I loved staying here. Especially important to me was the swimming, deep, cold, excellent swimming. The onsite management was excellent, Denise is terrific. I loved the relaxed attitudes about dogs!
It’s an old-style, knotty pine cabin with all the basics provided ( like towels, TP, all kinds of utensils, dish pan and drying rack). A nice deck is wrapped around the lakeside of the cabin was lovely to sit on and watch the Lake. I was lucky it was a quiet week, It’s not secluded —right over the fence there’s Tavern on the Bay, with OK food and decent live music, but, since I ended up there alone with my dog, I liked that. (They’re quiet after ten.)
Overall, I was really pleased with this place, I would return.

The owners are the sweetest and make sure you have everything you need! The cabin is 1 of 3 on the property, they also have some campers parked on the property. Everything is spaced out pretty well though, very large piece of land for on the water to accommodate everyone. It was quiet and it was nice that their was a restaurant close by. We loved our stay!

Quaint charming cabin with everything you need and very close proximity to restaurants and entertainment. We are into fishing primarily and this location was ideal for us. Beautiful sunsets each evening and the view from the cabin was perfect. The hosts Denise and Roy are fantastic and so easy to talk to and were there if anything was needed.

Wonderful stay up north
Wonderful cabin. Great hosts. Very welcoming and accommodating. . Great location. Close enough to everything we needed. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for two parents, three teens and a dog. Loved every minute of it. Was sad to have to leave. Made us feel very much at home. Thank you for the use of your lovely cabin.

Rustic Vermillion getaway
Rustic cabin, with Great Lake Vermilion views. Hosts are nearby, very friendly and welcoming. Dogs are very welcomed.
Things to be aware of… all beds are bunk bed style or a futon. As described you are not secluded. Multiple campers and cabins near by, and all share 4 docks, and beach area. Plumbing and electrical functional but rustic. Not ideal for individuals with limited mobility, because of steep decent to water, and cabin has narrow spaces. Kitchen has all your basic cooking needs.
All in all a nice weekend getaway to relax and take in the local attractions!

Excellent hosts and location. Hiking and biking trails are just a short distance away, fishing was excellent and golfing at the local resort was perfect.

Great time, great hosts, wonderful setting.
We were very impressed with the amenities: very comfortable and spacious beds, good water pressure and plenty of hot water, very nice stove, micro wave, fridge, etc etc.
Our hosts Roy and Denise were extremely friendly and accommodating. And, of course, the Vermillion Lake setting is spectacular. We all had a great time.

Great lake front getaway!
The cabin was on the smaller side, but very clean and plenty big for my family of 3. The view from the cabin was amazing and Denise & Roy are amazing hosts! They were very friendly and talking to them was just like we were there visiting old friends. We rented a boat from a local place and were able to keep it right there on one of their docks for the week - so coinvent! We had an amazing stay and hope we can return again next summer!

Right on the Lake with a Beautiful Picture Window
First off, the smaller cabin was being remodeled, so they upgraded us to the 3 bedroom cabin. It is fantastic. It has a very large picture window that looks out onto the lake from the dining table. We were here in early May, before opening, to retrieve our son and his belongings from his first year at a nearby college. So, no fishing, but we sure did enjoy that view! I suppose you would call this a rustic cabin, but it is plenty comfortable. Bedrooms are small, however it has a very spacious living area and kitchen. The floor in the kitchen slopes a bit, but that is somehow very charming. The large deck outside looks onto the lake and has a picnic table and chairs. Charcoal BBQ is provided and there is a restaurant on the resort next-door. Cabin was clean and tidy and very relaxing. Rent this one if you can!

Clean, welcoming and wonderful
The only real criticism is the noise from the restaurant and bar next door. But the hosts were so sweet, cabin and property were clean. Knives sharp and all those little tools needed in the kitchen were supplied! Beach area was small but perfect for our little family of 4. Also, all the beach toys, chairs, Lily pad's etc were wonderful!!!

The owners we very friendly and welcoming. We were right next to Bayview and able to walk over for dinner and drinks. It’s a great property and close to anything you need. We will be back for sure!

Lovely experience
our stay was pure majic! My parents, boys and myself, had the most lovely time. We wanted a cabin by the lake experience and it was perfect. Lots of laughs,swimming kayaking wonderful memories for a lifetime. We will be back next summer! Clean cabin and wonderful owners so accommodating and friendly.

Amazing Family Vacation
We had an incredible time! Roy and Denise made us feel like family. Everyone there was so friendly. Our granddaughter had the time of her life jumping off the dock and lily pad! The sunsets were incredible every night. The view from the cabin was perfect! It was like a little piece of heaven just for us especially in the midst of all the doom and gloom of the COVID situation. We will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you Roy and Denise, and Cort for all your kindness!

Relaxing Retreat
We had a fantastic vacation! The cabin was very clean, nice and had everything we needed. It was just the perfect size for the two of us. We got to canoe, paddle boat and just spend relaxing time on the beach. We got to have a couple of nights with fires and they had plenty of wood for us. Denise and Roy were super nice and went above and beyond to be friendly and make our stay extremely special! Our dog Brandi had fun making friends with their dogs Otto and Buddy and Rex from the other cabin along with the all of the other kids. They made Brandi feel just as welcome as we were. We will definitely be back!

Amazing getaway!
We spent a week here and enjoyed every minute of it. Roy and Denise are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We brought our fishing boat and were able to tie it to the dock for the week which was really nice. Roy had some great fishing advice and Denise gave us great ideas to tour around Ely and hike to Kawishiwi Falls. Our pup thoroughly enjoyed it too! We will definitely be back. Vermilion is our new favorite lake. It is incredibly beautiful.

Best Time!
Our family of 4 plus our dog had an amazing time! Cabin was perfectly roomy for us and clean. The bedrooms had plenty of bedding for the chillier nights, the kitchen is fully stocked and the table is big Enough for Sit down dinners. The cabin has a nice deck over looking the lake and and additional deck 1/2 down stairs to the water. We had a nice fire down by the water one night and the kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and using the swim pad and paddle boat.
The cabin is located close to a bar/restaurant that had great outdoor seating That you can walk over too.
The owners are on site and they are the nicest people ever and very accommodating.
We already booked a second trip for later this year and can’t wait to get back!

Good Retreat with Great hosts!
We stayed over memorial weekend for a 2020 Covid retreat, two couples and one dog. The cabin is small, which was expected, and cozy. Good running water, fully stocked with all the essentials and nice deck with a lake view for morning coffees to after dinner cocktails. We brought a boat along and had plenty of dock space four ours and 6 more. Along with the docks there is a nice space for hanging by the lake with a fire pit, swimming area and plenty of seating. There was another family staying in another cabin but didn’t notice much as there is plenty of space on the property for solitude. The cabin is located adjacent to the owners unit and Roy and Denise were fantastic hosts. They truly are there to make your stay as enjoyable and leisure as possible. We are all of our meals at the cabin which gave us time to socialize with Roy and Denise and would visit again just for their company. Construction was happening onsite but all good improvements and expect the property to continue to get better. This did not affect our stay one bit but makes it want to return to see the progress. The fishing was slow on the lake, but off the dock as dawn seemed to be the best. My wife caught a 26” slob off the dock which is her biggest of her life, pretty exciting. The property is adjacent to the Bayview restaurant which wold be convenient but was not able to take advantage of due to Covid restrictions, but gave us the opportunity to spend time with the hosts. Overall we would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away and have little need for upscale amenities and look forward to spending time here again.
