For those of you who are looking for a nice long weekend on the beach, I can't say enough about this property. You can build a weekend of events around New Haven / Fairfield County while enjoying the beach, sun and amazing sunsets at this house. Property was clean, quiet neighborhood, beach gear including paddle boards, kayaks, grill. Truly a great spot!

The photos do not do this place justice! You really don’t have to leave the property to have a great time. The beach is literally outside the back door and everything you need to enjoy it including kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas and even kids toys is provided. Great fish market (Bud’s in Branford) and butcher (Shoreline prime meats) to grab grill provisions, but once you’re stocked up there’s no reason to go anywhere odd. The water is calm enough that we let our 4 and 7 year old play in it while we watched from the beach chairs. A perfect family getaway!

My family of 6 (wife, kids 5&7, and parents) stayed for a week. It was the perfect beach vacation on a private beach. We were there the week of July 4th and we had the beach to ourselves. We caught some fish, enjoyed swimming, and collected sea shells on our walks. The house was very clean and Heather was great to communicate with. The house had everything we needed, I took the kids on a couple of kayak rides and we grilled up the fish we caught on the deck. Lots of good dining options in the area as well.

The beach house experience
We are about 8 friends and old classmates from grad school almost 33 years back, got together to attend one of our friend’s daughter’s marriage in Connecticut. We were connecting with them after almost 2 years. Had time every day for beach walks and lot of talking and catching up with each other’s lives. This beach was an ideal place to stay comfortable and attend all the wedding functions for 3 days. It would have been nice to have one more full bathroom with another shower!! It was a fantastic experience!!

Super clean Apartment with views of the ocean.
Lovely large and airy Apartment, the proximity to the beach is a huge plus and the views all day long from the deck is a “tonic”. The house was super clean and sanitised and product was left in the house to keep it that way which we really appreciated.
Heather was super communicative and helpful with the few questions we had during our stay, more down to us being new to the US and how things work than anything to do with the house!
It was a prefect “base” for us for our first few weeks in the US and we appreciated the care and attention and the friendliness of the local community. Wonderful!

Wonderful, family friendly home and location. Everything was delightful: Heather, house, decor, comfort and relaxing private beach. Enjoyed beach treasure hunting and kayaking. Easy to visit New Haven and other fun CT locations. Close to grocery store as well. Far exceeded expectations! Hope to visit again!

Absolutely wonderful!
This has to be one of the best places we've rented and it was just what we needed. Everything is exactly as described - the property is right on the beach, it's private, clean, and beautifully decorated. Our two young children loved playing in the sand and looking for pretty shells... and we were able to relax on the deck while they played! Anything you need is very close by - restaurants, stores, playground, etc. Heather was a pleasure to deal with and communication was great. We will definitely be back!

Rest and Relaxation
The vacation was so relaxing. The house was clean. There was plenty of room to move about, and plenty of places to relax, read, or nap. The beach was QUIET, even with a nearby beach club. The neighbors were friendly, and also quiet. Heather was available to answer our questions, and provided a booklet with recommended restaurants and essential stores in the area. We enjoyed a meal at the Lobster Shack!

Sparkling holiday home
Book without hesitation. We loved our time at this beach house! As another reviewer said, "we are picky and this property was excellent". The property has truly beautiful views and the layout has been thoughtfully set up to create a 'Wow" moment as soon as you open the door. We appreciated that one of the bedrooms is set apart from the others, allowing for a bit more privacy. The kitchen has every cooking tool you might need, the linens were soft and comfortable, and the house was spotlessly clean. Water shoes are a must to enjoy the lovely beach. It is on a very family oriented block and that gave the stay a very warm, friendly feeling. Butterflies on the beach, hummingbirds in the flower box... we hope to be back next year.

Perfect and relaxing stay
First impression when we walked into the house was how clean and fresh it was! Second impression was the amazing beachviews seen from the many windows. This house is truly a gem-literally right on the water. You get to enjoy your own private, quiet beach and avoid all the crowds. Water shoes are a good idea, but the shells and rocks amused my children for hours as they combed the beaches and tide pools looking for treasures. The house provides you with all the beach toys and activities you may need, including boogie boards, paddle boards, and kayaks! We are thankful we found this spot and hope to come back again!! Perfect quiet beach
This property was exactly as advertised. Private beach with a clean house. My 2 & 4 year old had a blast playing on the beach and in the water. The beach has plenty of shells for little ones to collect and the water is relatively calm. All beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, life jackets and paddle boards are provided. If available I would have booked again for later this summer.

We are picky, and this property was excellent
Overall the property was exactly as advertised. up to date interior with new appliances. lots of space to stretch out. high end electronics, and a private beach. The beach is sandy with lots of sea shells. This area of the shore has a ton of shells washed up onshore, which was fun to go hunting in. The water had a long shallow shelf, and a soft sandy bottom once a couple feet out. The host provided play equipment in good condition, specifically paddle board and kayak and beach toys. The host was also within easy reach and very friendly. We will definitely look to book again.

Great Summer Beach House
House was amazing and exactly as described. Kitchen was well out-fitted and had all the basic necessities. I think we were the first tenants of the season, so there were no leftover spices, oil, etc. So bring with you whatever ingredients you need to cook. Also bring toilet paper and paper towels as only one roll of each provided. Heather was so helpful throughout and was flexible with our needs.
The house has its own private beach with wide open sandy areas. Tons of beach chairs, umbrellas, beach games, kayak and stand-up paddle board. Easy to get to from NYC with a car. Parking right on the side of the house. We can't wait to go back.

Awesome location right on the beach!
We had an awesome stay at Heather’s house. The house was clean and cozy with a lot of games for kids to play. We used the kayaks and the paddle board, kids loved them so much! Heather was very helpful with anything that we needed. The location has a little park with water sprinklers not far away from the house. The house was very kids friendly) Our kids were loud and Heather and her family who stayed in the upper unit were totally understanding and ok with it. I would really like to come back next summer! Thank you!

This beach house was perfect for our family. The location could not have been better and the house was perfect. Just enough space, very clean and everything was supplied to us. We didn’t even need beach towels. My family had one of the best vacations we have ever taken!

Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We loved the house, beach and spacious deck overlooking the water. Beach front location was amazing! The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the paddle boards and boats. Highly recommend and we’d definitely rent again!

Great property right on the beach!
Loved having the kayaks and body board to use along with the bikes. Beds were comfortable and house very clean. My only complaint was I was not aware when renting the house that there’s a separate rental upstairs. Luckily it wasn’t rented when we were there. Enjoyed the deck and using the BBQ. Overall a very good value for a beach house!
