Chateau Relaxo- Remodeled Pool View Condo with Direct Beach and Sound Access
"Chateau Relaxo" è un condominio di fine unità situato al piano superiore che ha tutto il necessario per una vacanza rilassante ad Atlantic Beach. L'unità si trova nella comunità di Sound Side di Bogue Shores Suites. Con un comodo accesso all'oceano direttamente dall'altra parte della strada e la Inter-costiera Waterway nel cortile del complesso, questo condominio non vi deluderà. I giorni al "Chateau Relaxo" possono essere trascorsi a pesca in spiaggia, leggere e costruire castelli di sabbia o nella piscina della comunità, una delle più grandi dell'isola. Location, Location, Location
We had a nice & restful stay. This is the perfect location - you have both the beach and the sound. Water access to both is very convenient. Nice pool. Quiet community.

Sinking Bed in a great area
Pros: The location is nice. Not to crowded. Swimming Pool outside of your door. Beach not far. You need a car for sure.
Cons:
We checked in about 1030pm. The lockbox can be a bit of a challenge as it does not open with ease. It was not adequately stocked with basics. For example, there were no extra rolls of toilet paper anywhere considering the amount of days we were booked (4 nights) 1/2 roll and one new.
The BED!! Ugh- could be a cute place BUT the bed LITERALLY dips and caves in in the middle. We slept on extreme ends of the bed just for some kind of “balance”. Because of that, I could see a sock or some undefined article on the side of the bed. Definitely not mine! The owner should replace the mattress immediately to update the place.
Bathroom was not cleaned very well. Long Hair in sink and I have SHORT hair. Also found a long hair in freezer.
This place could be a diamond in the rough if it gets a fresh coat of paint, updated bed and a better more detailed cleaning team.

Great pool and location
We love the location to the beach and the pool is excellent. The property maintenance man Wes is fantastic. He does an amazing job and keeping up the property. Property manager was easy to contact and had Wes fix the loud vibration to the air conditioner immediately. We then hit the beach. The cleaning person whoever they are could do better. A reclean was offered but we were already settled in with all our stuff. I took care of the issue at hand at the time. The king bed has a large sink hole in the middle. A soft bed is nice but the divit in the middle is not. The pull out sofa bed also sank at the end and the only saving grace for that mattress was the memory foam topper. Doesn't exactly look like the listing pics anymore as the couch is getting stained and worn.

Great place for weekend getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The beach was a nice short walk away. There were plenty of good places to eat less than 15 minutes away. Food lion and Lowe's foods were also close by.
The kitchen area was great for breakfast and lunch prep but we didn't try to cook dinner due to logistics of dishes. There is decent storage for a few personal cookware items and storage for groceries and beach stuff. The bathroom was a great size with good water pressure for the shower. The sofa was comfortable but we didn't try the pullout bed.
We loved sleeping in the king bed! The mattress was soft and felt like sleeping on a giant pillow. If you need a firm bed to sleep in, I would NOT recommend this bed.
There were only a few negatives for this place and they are minor. It may not comfortably sleep more than 2 people if the pull out bed is used because a lot of the space for this place comes from the open living area. The AC unit is rather loud so light sleepers may not find it easy to get good rest. Since the AC unit is at the front of the condo, the bathroom will get rather warm if the door is kept closed for a while.
Overall we loved our stay and are considering coming back to it again some time! Thanks for making our beach vacation a wonderfully relaxed and stress free trip!

Need to do better
The property was exactly as listed. Looks exactly like the pictures! It is very cute. The key boxes must all have the same code, because someone came in on use! It isn't being properly cleaned: the items in the kitchen had food still on them from previous guests, there was hair on the bathroom floor in the bathroom sink and in the shower, the shower doors and shower head had soap scum and hard water stains, the hanging storage basket in the shower was rusted and had soap build up on it.

Girls Getaway
My friend and had a little getaway to Atlantic Beach, and were so glad to have booked this little spot. This was the 3rd trip I’ve made to the Bogue Shores complex, but my first stay in this unit. I would definitely book again. The unit was modern, looked newly remodeled and so sophisticated. We appreciated the full size coffee pot - not a key rig, as I have found in the other units. The shower was great - awesome water pressure! My friend enjoyed the soft king size bed, and I found the pullout sofa to be quite comfortable with the added memory foam topper! The shade separates the “bedroom” from the living room so that afforded us a little privacy too. The way this unit was arranged really maximized the space and made it feel especially big! The complex is quiet, safe and well lit - but I do recommend bringing a sleeping eye cover for any unit at Bogue Shores because the lights in the complex stay on all night (if you’re only using the king size bed, the shade is adequate for blocking the light, though!)
Bring your beach towels and chairs and settle in here, it was great!

Modified Anniversary weekend during the Pandemic
We planned to stay here sans kids, but the pandemic changed our babysitter's plans, so we ended up taking them. It was fine for our small family. The location was great with a walkway to the beach directly across from the property, and the sound is right behind it. The unit was on the upper corner of the two story building which was great. It was close the parking lot, and facing the gigantic pool. The pool wasn't heated, but the kids still loved swimming in it. The unit was clean, and updated. Our only complaints were that the bathroom door squeaked (we bought a can of WD-40 to solve that), the fire alarm was in the kitchen and was easily set off when cooking, and the frying pans were thin so food tended to burned (I'd recommend bring your own frying pan). Other than that, we loved it, and would definitely stay again.

Fantastic Beach Location - Everything you need
Had a great 4 night mini-break at this property in August. The beach is just a really easy short walk across the street and was absolutely beautiful. The unit is nicely furnished with everything you need and the pool on the property was huge - didn't expect that. Had an issue with the fridge not working (it wasn't plugged in!) and the property manager showed up not even 30 minutes after I had emailed the owner! Slept great, shower pressure is great, fridge is huge and there are handy coolers to use. I'd come stay here again for sure.

Great getaway!
We really enjoyed our stay in this unit! It was comfortable for four people. Everything you need is provided. Close to shops and restaurants and easy access to the beach. We loved the community of Bogue Shores, and the large pool! Everyone was so friendly. We would stay again for sure!

Family of four is a complete package
Being staying at Bogue shores for over 15 years and this room was nicely remodeled , perfectly accessible, and fit our family of four. Upon arriving the cleaning crew could’ve done a better job for my satisfaction. Could’ve used additional storage for family of four clothes and such however overall impressed.

Beach get-away
Overall a great trip and perfect location. The room is small but perfect location for what we wanted. Short walk across the road and you’re one the beach - and being right by the pool was great. Only issue we had was that we wish the room had blackout curtains as there is a light right outside the window so it never was really dark - but that was just minor so no real complaints

Bogue shores
Property is excellent. Rooms are clean and very nice. If you fish amd have a boat go somewhere else though. They do not welcome fishermen with boats like they used to. But, As just a place to take the family it’s excellent!

Very clean with comfy bed
The place was super clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. There were a few minor annoyances which hopefully will be resolved. The lockbox could not be opened even though we had the correct code. The maintenance guy came to help us get in though. The key would barely open the door. I'm not exaggerating. My fiance had to work for about 5 minutes to get the key to turn. The smoke alarm kept going off whenever we cooked something on the stove (just normal cooking). Smoke alarm even went off from using the toaster oven. We also had some trouble with the wifi and tv. All in all, we had a good time but when you add up all these minor annoyances, that did take too much time away from what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.

Perfect weekend getaway
This property is perfect for a weekend getaway! The interior is beautifully decorated and has used the small space very well. The room was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. The only reason I have 4 starts for the check-in process was because we were given the wrong room and code. However, it was handled immediately and we were in the correct room in no time. I will definitely stay again!

Great getaway
Great access to the sound and the beach. Able to do a little fishing and crabbing off the boat docks on the sound side. Short walk across the street to the beach. Pool was perfect with plenty of space, chairs always available. Property manager Shelia and Wes were amazing, friendly and helpful. Room itself was perfect. Nice to find a king size bed. Plenty of kitchen appliances to be able to cook in the room. Beautiful touches such as granite and beautiful accessories.

Perfect for a getaway!
This place is a little small but an excellent use of space! It was perfect for a girls getaway. It was very tastefully decorated. It was very clean. The towels had some rust stains but I don't think that is a reflection on the owner's. More of a water quality in a beach town. But the towels were clean! WIFI and TV were great. A quick call to the property manager got the password as it was not included in the email. Super nice and responsive. The pool was clean, the pool deck and chairs were in great working order. The umbrella tables were very nice because of the heat that weekend. We were close to everything. A perfect, restful, weekend. The beach access was across the street right next to the beach club. We didn't go over due to the heat but we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the option to visit the beach. FYI you cannot see the ocean or the inlet from this unit but they are very close!

Everything was great!
My overall impression of this property is that the owners want the people who visit to have every luxury that they would want themselves. From the beautiful decor and comfy king-size bed (that sleeps wonderfully) to the large TV visible from couch and bed, non-slamming drawers and doors in the kitchen and wardrobe area, koozies, and icepack in the freezer - they have truly thought of everything. I was not able to locate the WiFi password (I am sure user error on my part) and when I messaged through the app, I had a response within minutes and I was up and running. I really had everything I needed or wanted right there! With such easy access to a pool or beach, you would be crazy not to stay here!

Stay was Challenging
Not sure if there was some scheduling miscommunication or what but when arriving we found no linin and no towels. The cleaning contact worked to alleviate those problems and after a long travel day a nice hot shower was needed, it was at this time we realized that there was no water! Perhaps it was bad timing, but its hard to have a relaxing time after several issues in the beginning!
