The location was absolutely amazing -- a short walk from the main train station, the Rothornbahn station, the boat dock, and an even shorter walk to the Coop grocery store. The view from both floors in the apartment was georgeous, in all directions. There was a lot of space, so the two of us were never crowded. We could have had 3-4 additional people sleep there. The wifi was strong, and the swimming pool was a nice feature, though we only used it once. We saw other travelers use it more often. We used the washing machine (see below for challenges...).

It would be REALLY nice to have provided some Swiss-specific plug adapters. We had European 2-round-prong adapters for our US plugs, but the Swiss receptors throughout the apartment required a very specific elongated hexagon shape that fit into an indented area, and none of ours worked. The owner said Coop had the right adapters for about 4E, but they actually didn't. And this was a serious challenge for charging all our devices. The other challenge was the washing machine. Great that they had one (on the top floor, in the bathroom), but not great that there were very few hangers and no clothes line for drying, and NO instructions or starter soap packets. There were some drying racks on the balconies. This unit is definitely more suitable for Swiss travelers (or other Europeans) than for clueless Americans. Still, we would go back, just better equipped and informed.

The apartment overlooks Lake Brienz , with an uninterrupted view from two balconies - You really couldn't get a better view of the lake. Brienz is a great base for exploring the area - including Lauterbrunnen and all the mountains around, such as First and Rigi. The apartment itself is well equipped, with a good kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. There is a good bathroom and a separate loo off the main living area too - loads of space for the money and would be comfortable for up to 6 people. We found the parking outside the door was useful, though a little more expensive than just parking in town (but ultra-convenient of course being literally right outside the door) Wi-Fi was pretty good too. We would definitely stay again .

Communication with the host in relation to the keys could be improved, there was no response at all on one number provided, but at least some contact on the other. For info, the keys are just inside the door in an envelope, and easy to find once you know where they are.

Everything was good .It was in beautiful location close to everything we needed. The penthouse was clean, spacious and comfortable. Italian lady who is working there was very nice ❤️ she spoke Italian so we had misunderstanding in the beginning ( even with misunderstanding from our side on check in , city tax and parking ) she still was smiling and nice to us. Definitely would say here again ☺️

The property was very clean and well situated.

Check in instructions were not clear. When I called the host it seemed like I was bothering them and I found the customer service was not good. Check out was also not clear and overall I found the hosts were not so welcoming or helpful. Given the difficult situation for all tourist locations in 2020 I was surprised at this lack of welcome and service.

Parking is a bit hasty however the owner provided a proper garage
