Location is great. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly. Their rooftop is beautiful, a shame they dont have a bar up there.

Breakfast is not in the hotel, it is in a other hotel a good 6-8min walk. It is not far but it is not convenient. We paid for room+breakfast and ended up eating in the many restaurants just outside the hotel.

Our room was facing a small square and restaurant and was very noisy till the very early in the morning. We did not get much sleep.

Central location.

We asked for the hotel to arrange a transfer to pick us up from the airport, as we are aware that cars can’t enter the old town. A small car arrived for 6 of us and suitcases! We couldn’t all fit in so to do the right thing we used that car and had to pay for another also. It cost over $100 for 2 cars and we could have got our own taxi at a quarter or the price. We were dropped off miles away to carry bags in. Not what one would expect from a hotel transfer. We have stayed in another hotel in Split before and they coordinate everything including a buggy waiting for bags. Also when checking out I had realized I had booked an extra room that we didn’t need. That was my error and I was happy to pay but let me know before I realized, when checking out.

it’s utterly fantastic location, one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in all my travels. Classy! Booked it for one night and stayed for 4 nights loved it so much.

The room was really spacious, for the price and the location it was really good. The place also has a rooftop with a nice view.

There a few steps to get to the first rooms and the lift, so it’s a bit uncomfortable for the ones carrying big suitcases.

Location - room was comfortable and quiet. Good central location for main sites and restaurants. Walkable with cases from ferry port.

Breakfast - taken in sister hotel that you have to walk to. Tiny place with 5 tables so you have to wait. Set menu with no options - poor quality. You get a much better breakfast in a Travelodge in the UK than this supposedly good quality hotel.

That for breakfast you had to go to another hotel and it was very basic.

Bathroom - toilet was dirty, toilet brush was minging and needs to be changed immediately. Base of shower mouldy also needed attention. Bedroom floor was dusty. I am lactose intolerant and the only coffee sachets available contained milk. no black tea other than green tea This is a nice hotel in a lovely location, however they did to up their cleanliness in the bathroom it is not acceptable.

For a hotel of this cost there was very little added extras like moisturiser, cotton pads in the shower. Towels not that good quality.

Air conditioner didn't work and had to be fixed twice during our stay. Still didn't work. Shower is a tub in middle of the room without a wall or door. Just a shower wand to wet you and the entire room. we stayed in the luxury suite.

No breakfast. No view. One bed when I asked for two twin beds. Kept waiting 45 minutes on arrival. Dreadful attitude of staff. Never stay here.

Die Lage war gut. Das war aber auch alles. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, aber letztlich hilflos, da Anweisungen (Bezahlung nur mit Bargeld, kein Ersatz für kaputtes Klappbett) des Eigentümers umgesetzt werden mussten.

I don't like to write negative comments. But in the case of the so-called Boutique Hotel Plaza Marchi Old Town, unfortunately, it has to be. We got the key at check-in time at the reception. When opening the room door, the first surprise: the room had obviously not been prepared and cleaned after the departure of previous guests. Back to the reception, friendly apologies, a problem with the staff. Ok, mistakes can happen, no problem. We will come back after a trip to the city beach. The next surprise: The ordered and paid folding bed for our 15 year old son is broken, a row of slats is missing. Replacement is unfortunately not to get. Our son will put the mattress on the floor and sleep there more bad than good. However, the main reason why I am writing this review here is the following: We were made aware right upon arrival that you could only pay cash in this hotel. Payment by card was not possible. This has not happened to me in many years in very different countries on several continents. The trend is actually more towards card payment. Cash payments are rightly being frowned upon more and more, as they facilitate tax evasion. But at the boutique hotel, the owner wants to see cash, and in the local currency, kuna. In concrete terms, this means that we end up paying the equivalent of 330 euros for the triple room instead of the 285 euros agreed according to Booking.com, which is almost a 20 percent surcharge. Reason the locally unfavorable exchange rate and horrendous exchange fees. I think this is also a case for Booking.com. Unfortunately, the experience is somewhat symptomatic of Croatian tourism. Because demand is high on the beautiful coast, some restaurant operators and hotel owners think they can ask any price. Quality of service and price often do not match. This can go well for a while, but in the long run it will take its toll. That would be a pity for the beautiful vacation region and for the usually very friendly staff.

- staff didn’t do the room and not really helpful on indications/ information, the cleaning lady almost through me out at check out - impossible to have breakfast included in rate - on the other side of town with a voucher stopping at 10am (not in property) - super loud as there is a club below

Location in the middle of town, brilliant access to Split town, very clean, staff lovely and helpful!

Accommodation completely misrepresented on website, room very small, things included on website didn’t exist, no desk in room, no kettle, no iron. Had to walk nearly 10 minutes to sister hotel for breakfast, disappointing!
