Surpassed expectations. Perfect location. Spacey suite, outdoor space, hot tub spectacular spot overlooking the ocean and beach. Beach side fire pit away from house so not to disturb owners. A very relaxing spot, private. We went as 3 moms/ friends. But would be a good spot for couples and /or families. Doreen and Doug were fantastic hosts. Beautiful sunshine coast.

We needed a break, and we sure got it at Doug and Doreen's place! This is a wonderful vacay rental, highly recommend it if you are looking for a great home base for Sunshine Coast adventures. The property has everything you could ask for and more. So many great amenities, and Doug and Doreen are just lovely people. We are already planning to return, see you down the road! Cheers

We stayed in the lower unit, which was perfect for its naturally cooler temperature through high summer heat and walkout access to shaded dining, green space and beach. The view was spectacular, especially when sitting in the hot tub at sunset. The house itself had thoughtful touches - beach towels, dishes, magazines, bath robes and slippers, etc. The sofa bed was squeaky, but pretty comfortable. We had a great stay here and recommend it. If we get the chance again, we'll want to return!

The name definitely says it all! The unit itself was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and made us feel like home. The extra special touches like the welcome snacks and wine were amazing and the fluffy spa robes were used lots( seriously every morning and evening). The hot tub was excellent and the beach area was fantastic! We swam in the ocean every day (bring your water shoes)and they made it easy entry by carving out a path. Swimming with the seals nearby was a treat! There’s lots to do in the area, hiking, water sports and sightseeing! Great restaurants, liquor and grocery stores very close to the unit. Very relaxing trip and spent a lot of time just looking at the view. We even saw a couple of orcas. Bucket list ✔️Doug and Doreen gave us total privacy. We actually would have loved to sit and have a drink with them, super nice and interesting people! I was reluctant to write this review only because I don’t want our little secret about how great this place is to get out! Highly recommend!

Doug or Doreen were wonderful hosts. They even went as far as to setup a high chair and crib for our little one so we didn't have to pack them along. The location was great for our family. Outstanding views and steps to the beach. We were able to rest and relax and enjoy time with the kids on the beach. Exactly what we were after. Thanks!

Great hosts

After a sudden snowstorm, the hosts fully cleaned and salted the steep driveway and cleaned the snow off my car! Lovely views, unobtrusive hosts and very lovely place. We will definitely be back!

The view was amazing, the hospitality was amazing. Doug and Doreen are perfect hosts. The only complaint was that the bed was too hard for our liking. We will return again :)

Great spot! Very clean and well cared for suite and yard. The water views are fabulous. The pebble beach is great for beach strolls. The hosts were very welcoming.

Thanks Doreen and Doug. We had a wonderful time. We had a clean large one bedroom suit with with views to die for. We had a peaceful quiet time to decompress from all the craziness that is life these days. I would highly recommend a stay here. By the way Doug the Cider is great thanks.

We weren’t here for long—just a couple of nights—so we needed a relaxing place and we got that here. Very cozy basement with a view, on a nice quiet beach which was lovely in the surprisingly good weather. The shared jacuzzi was a bit of an issue on the first night when the only other guests hogged it for more than two hours, and loudly, but otherwise it was glorious. Doug and Doreen were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary snacks and wine were a nice touch. Recommended!

We celebrated our 15 year anniversary here and it was amazing. So peaceful and quiet and absolutely stunning. We didn’t want to leave!

We absolutely adored our location, suite and amenities. It couldn’t have been more ideal. Can’t wait to jump in the ocean and hot tub once more!

They call it Absolute Heaven for a reason! We started coming several years ago and at first it was only for 2 nights at a time, we then realized that wasn't long enough, so we now do 3 nights! Next year we are upping it to 4 or 5! Doug and Doreen are wonderful hosts, and I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay here! The views are simply stunning, be it inside the residence, or in the private front yard area or on the beach. The beach is very private with amazing views!!!! Our hosts - Doreen and Doug - are awesome! We highly recommend staying here! It will meet all your expectations, and more.

Our stay at Absolute Heaven was heaven. Our suite faced the ocean with amazing views. Nice little touches in the suite, from a welcoming bottle of wine, chocolate on the pillows, fluffy robes etc. The hot tub perched on the edge overlooking the ocean was fantastic and each night we had a fire down on the beach. A perfect way to end our evenings. And of course the kayaking in the area is amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gracious hosts and a great waterfront suite!

We loved the place and having the beach right at the property was amazing. The weather didn’t cooperate, so we unfortunately couldn’t use the fire pit, but the hot tub was still comfortable. Doug was an absolutely fantastic host! They also had a selection of novels and kids books and DVDs at hand. The only thing we didn’t know until we got there was that there was a second suite on the property, which meant shared hot tub and beach area. All in all, it was a great stay!

We were so impressed with this suite. It was easy to find, not far from Sechelt and lived up to the description. The space is large and not overfilled with furniture. The amenities are just as described. The private sandy beach area, shared with the hosts and other guests, is large and the pebbled public beach has logs for sitting if preferred. I hope we return, we enjoyed out stay.

Everything about this property is top notch, it is spacious, well appointed, clean and the location is wonderful to explore the Sunshine Coast. The hosts are experienced and thoughtful and it is one of the prettiest properties you will ever see. The bonus is that you have easy access to great hiking, water sports, art and restaurants. (Or you can just slip into the hot tub, lounge on the beach or go fo a swim) Cheers!

We had a blissful three-day stay at Absolute Heaven in West Sechelt. The property is a one bedroom apartment on the lower floor of the hosts' house. Doug and Doreen were friendly and discreet, welcoming us on the first evening and checking in briefly with us to ensure all was well and empty bins. The house is very comfortable, immaculately clean, spacious and well equipped. We had full private access to the garden and beach (via a very short path on the property - make sure you breathe in the scent of pine and lavender as you walk down). The location is stunning, looking out onto the Strait from the garden and hot-tub. Utterly blissful. We swam every day several times, had camp fires on the beach and enjoyed cooking on the gas barbecue. We also kayaked around the islands facing the house, and saw seals flopping around on the rocks. Doug and Doreen left us lots of useful basics (coffee, salt, pepper, oil etc - as well as some treats like wine). We really appreciated these touches, as well as the plentiful towels and fluffy robes which made us feel like we were at a fancy spa. Slipping into the perfect temperature hot-tub with a drink and a sunset view was magnificent. A special mention must go to Doug and Doreen's lovely neighbours who invited us to eat campfire Smores with them, lent us kayaks, and took us out to empty their crabpots. Thoroughly recommended.

Wow. In a word Doug took amazing care of us and the property was perfection. Large beautifully appointed rooms with a spectacular view of the ocean. From the beach loungers to a healing dip in the ocean to animal friends and the nightly hot tub with the twinkle lights all around.... it was wonderful! We will definitely be back for longer stays! Thank you Doug and Doreen!!! 5 star all the way.

Great location, nice clean place. You can really see that Doug puts a lot of care into making this place welcoming and beautiful. We enjoyed the bonfire and beach front location on the sunny days and enjoyed our bbq dinner under the covered patio on the day that looked cloudy. We saw seals, lots of different birds and a pod of orcas! Amazing. Thank you Doug for the great conversation and for being a friendly host.
