We had trouble finding the location. The owner came to pick us up with his car. This never happend to me before. Very friendly and cosy accomodation. Breakfast included and everything was very clean. If we ever come back, this is the place to stay.

Spectacular 17th century restored property with ample character. The host, Jean is such a gentleman, such a calming influence and nothing was a problem to him when it came to ensuring his guests needs were met.

I have taken groups to do different parts of Camino Santiago about 10 years. Mr Jean and Maison Joangi is one of the best I have seen. It is family owned old old home that is turned to guest receiving mansion. A place that has a soul. If returning to area defenetly coming back to Maison Joangi.

Everything. The accomodation is luxurious and you are going to witness the pleasure of a mix of modern and traditional Basque art in this very well refurbished traditional Basque Maison. The host is very attentive and helpful and will help you to choose the very best options for your time there. The breakfast is simple but with hand made ingredients, very good. Definitely the place you would like to come back!
If you really want to find something wrong that could be the location that doesn't really allow for guests on public transport as it is quite distant from the town centre (you could walk 2km and get there if you want) but you should know that in advance!

Looks like a Swiss chalet. Five minute walk from the town of Jean Pied de Port. This place was newly renovated by the owner Jean, who met us on arrival. The rooms were fabulous, with power showers and lovely towels. We were a group of 6 ladies, walking the Camino. He brought us into town and recommended
Cafe Ttipia, which was an excellent choice. Food was great. We had a lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Jean drove us to the start of the Camino walk. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
