We always enjoy our stay here in the old farm house. Walking distance to restaurants and stores.

The house was super cool and we enjoyed the beauty of the area and the nearby walk along the bike path.

We had a wonderful time. We were all born in Coalville but moved away as children. It was a perfect place to relive our childhood. Thank you so much.

This is the second stay at this property. It was perfect for our group of four guys for our ski trip to Park City. It had everything we needed to make evening meals.

This property was perfect for a Christmas getaway. The home was bigger than we expected and had ample room for everyone. It was very clean and charming. The house was decorated with a tree and lights. It was close enough to Park City that we could go out to eat and spend the day looking at the shops. The only thing that bothered us was the kitchen floor. Quite a few tiles have popped and some even come up completely when walked on.

This house worked great for what we needed. It does however need a little renovation work done. Kitchen floor needs replaced. Also wish there was an upstairs shower.

We had a group of nine people staying at the property and there was plenty of room. Everything was in great condition, especially considering that the house is over a hundred years old. They've done a great job of remodeling and restoring and our group was very happy about everything. They have a table that seats eight which made it very convenient for meals and a very modern kitchen with everything we needed. The house was well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, linens, etc. We have no complaints at all we would stay there in a minute if our plans take us back to Coalville.

Great location in a small town.

My family and I recently had the privilege of staying at this exceptional property during a particularly challenging time as we were in town for a family funeral. This house offered an invaluable sanctuary for us, providing comfort and serenity, which we are profoundly grateful for.
The kitchen is truly extraordinary and was instrumental in accommodating our needs to prepare meals for a large family. Fitted with modern amenities and conveniences, it provided a sense of normalcy to our family gatherings at a time we needed it most.
The house is an architectural gem, beautifully maintaining its original design from 1868 while incorporating the comfort and style of the present day. This blend of the historical and contemporary is both seamless and charming, creating a uniquely welcoming environment that is equally captivating.
Each room carries its own distinct allure, marrying the past with the present in a manner that instills a sense of timelessness. This blend was immensely appreciated during our stay.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this property for anyone seeking a comforting, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing home-away-from-home. Our stay, marked by a time of grief, was substantially eased by this residence's warmth, charm, and outstanding amenities. Thank you for providing such a remarkable retreat during our time of need. Five stars across the board!

Perfect holiday getaway!
We loved our stay at the Coalville house! It was the prettiest house on the street and we loved all the decor and attention to detail. It was lovely to have the Christmas decorations throughout the house which made it feel festive. We used the Google Home Mini in the kitchen to play Christmas music while we baked Christmas cookies. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and even some baking supplies. The house was very clean. We had to ask for help to figure out how to get the heater to work, but Lynn came right over and was very helpful and kind. We walked along the dog trail that was super close and convenient and enjoyed a snowy walk. We brought along the disc sled that was on the porch and the kids did a little sledding. We walked to the local Mercantile for some last minute groceries. We stopped inside the County court house and checked out the historical museum in the basement that was jam packed with interesting history. We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 teens (12, 15, 17) and grandparents. If there was one thing we would wish for it would have been a 2nd shower (there is just a tub upstairs). But we can forgive that because this house is incredible! We spent so much time oohing and awwwing over it and congratulating ourselves on finding such a great place. The fireplace and staircase are original to the house! There were plenty of extra blankets. The TVs are smart TVs so we could find plenty to watch. There is a mud room right off the kitchen and an unheated sunroom that is perfect for playing games in. It was nice to be able to park our cars in a garage. We hope we can come back here someday!

They Lied To Us and Stole Our Money! Don’t Book!
This couple was upset that we had too many people sleep over (we did not) and that we left “sh*t in their yard” prior to our stay even being over. The box they were referring to was presents and wrapping material tucked neatly to the side of their driveway. They also said that someone ran over a sprinkler head while coming into the driveway… a $10 fix that is protected by VRBO and definitely nothing to lose your temper over. They lived close by so they came over and yelled at me after our first night and told us they thought we were having an engagement party - they didn’t ask me any details about what was actually happening, which was a murder mystery party with some friends. It was, to say the least, an average nerdy get together with close friends. They told us they wanted us to leave and that they would refund us for the night we would not be staying. I did not argue with them because I don’t want my guests staying in a place where their smallest moves are being scrutinized. We cleaned the house immaculately before we left. There was no damage to the structure of the historical house, which is what they said they were worried about, and it looked just the way it did before we stayed. I tried to contact the owner and his wife (who is running for mayor… shame on her for stealing) about how we would be receiving the refund and they ignored my calls. They never returned the money that they said they would for not honoring their part of the rental. I had to scramble to find a place for me and my seven friends from out of town to stay in only a few hours. We did absolutely nothing to warrant being kicked out and definitely nothing to warrant them stealing our money. The owner’s language was distasteful, their approach to solving an issue was childish and unbecoming of someone running for public office, their complaints were baseless and they stole from us. I would strongly suggest finding a different place to stay that has better views than a gas station and a burrito shop.

Spectacular Victorian stay!!
What an absolute treat to stay at such a memorable and historical place!! It felt like we stepped back in time and out of the hustle and bustle. It was so easy to relax and explore here! A complete gem to find and super convenient to places like Park City and Bear River Lodge where we went ATV’ing. It was also superbly romantic and the best place to have celebrated our anniversary!! Marvelous memories to treasure for a lifetime!!

Beautiful place, but hot in summer
I really loved this place, but it was super hot on the main level. The AC couldn't cool us down. Also, we had some problems with the plumbing, but other than that, this place was great. Despite the mentioned issues, I would stay here again!

Quaint & Comfortable
We love this beautiful home and enjoy visiting once a year. Open, well-equipped kitchen makes for hours of conversation while cooking together— and we love to ride our bikes on Chalk Creek and beside Echo Reservoir. Walks to the Polar King always round out our visits.

Step back in time!
I planned a last-minute weekend getaway with my husband and four daughters. We wanted to explore a rural area of Utah and enjoy the peace and quiet. This home was such a find! There are so many beautiful details throughout the home. When we arrived, we literally walked around for 30 minutes just admiring all the craftsmanship. The updated kitchen was so fun to cook in, the beds were comfortable, and the decor so pretty. We loved every minute. Definitely a unique experience that made us feel like we stepped back in time. Also, Lynn was so easy to work with. Very responsive and helpful.

Great Girls' Weekend Getaway!
My mom, sisters-in-law, and I stayed here for a couple of days for our first annual girls' weekend. It was perfect! Chic with a great kitchen and fun furnishings. Someone even put fresh flowers in each room before we arrived. Such a thoughtful touch! The only thing it was missing was a history of the house--I would have loved to know who built it and how the current owners ended up with it.

Charming
We enjoyed our stay, the house is super charming and cozy. Sleeping arrangements were excellent and meet the needs of our group of 7. The updated kitchen was awesome and very well stocked. The town of Coalville is quiet, charming, and Main Street takes you back in time. Really enjoyed the walking trail along the old railroad tracks and river located just down the road. Jay and Lynn are fantastic! They answered all questions and communicated every step of the way. They informed us of a heating issue on the day of arrival, but had the heat back on and working before we arrived. Highly recommend this home and can’t wait to visit again.

Christmas family reunion
We enjoyed our stay, the house is super and had plenty of room for our party of 9. The heat was more than adequate to handle the 0 degree temps we experienced, and the neighbor shoveled the snow from the drive and walkways after a six inch overnight dusting. The host stopped by and fixed a minor plumbing issue for us as well. A good overall experience!

Beautiful historic home
The Wood's beautiful Victorian home was perfect for two couples coming to town for the 150 year anniversary of the Transcontinental railroad celebration. The amenities in the home were wonderful. The four poster bed was glorious after long days of standing & walking! If going please see the museum in the Coaville Courthouse! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us.
