The property was well maintained and updated. The beds were very comfortable, Linens were clean and fresh. The kitchen was well appointed and the backyard and deck area was so peaceful and relaxing. You will love staying here!

We surprised our 8 year old with a solo trip to LegoLand with grandparents. This place was pricey but the proximity to the beach and LegoLand, along with the large spa and deck won is over.
Pros:
The house is clean and well stocked, and lots of beach supplies for a good time.

The owner sends multiple messages about check on procedure and checkout and still stops by unannounced to check on things like the spa (people in the apartment above the garage checked out the day before us, and she was there that day and the next) Our last morning, a woman (maybe the owner) came again to clean the apartment above the garage and made it feel less relaxing because we couldn’t use washer dryer that day- our stuff was taken out. When we sent a text to make sure we could use ALL amenities until the check out time, we never heard back.

This place looks lovely but modest from the street, which is kind of its super power-- because it's really spacious and incredible. Great backyard with an adjacent structure that shares an ocean lookout deck, wonderful back porch, grill, nice lawn, and a hot tub (!). The interior is sparkling clean, and the room sizes are generous. Heather takes a lot of pride in her home, and it shows. She's helpful, chill, and attentive. And she manages her own property, which is a big deal to us. In essence, this is a local business. Support your local and have a wonderful stay, all in one. Highly reccomend.

We loved staying at Heather's house! The outdoor amenities (deck/hot tub/yard) were a great way to take advantage of the perfect weather. We also hugely appreciated having all of the beach gear. There were tons of boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, shovels/buckets for the kids and towels. The location and proximity to the beach made it so easy to go back and forth. The house is also only a 9-10 walk to the main town for coffee or restaurants. The only thing I would mention is that the mattress in the master bedroom is very soft...something to consider for those who have back issues. Overall, we would highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our stay so much. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of towels. Lots of time spent outdoors on the deck and patio. We were there for 10 days so several different renters moved in and out of the apartment upstairs. There was never a time when there was an overlap on using the hot tub, grill and patio but it could be a little weird if that happened. We will definitely be back.

Quiet, comfortable and lovely
This is our second time staying here. The beds are super comfortable. The house is spacious and has everything we wanted. Heather has all the beach stuff available to use , a garage and the location on a quiet street is a 5 minute walk to the BEACH.

Beyond Our Expectation
We absolutely loved our stay. The houses layout was perfect and so clean. The location to town and the beach was perfect. It was quiet and was better than we expected.

Great Choice, Great Location
Stayed for 3 nights. My wife and I took my mom to celebrate her turning 80 this month. We found the house to be very clean, and nicely remodeled. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch of the house and also checked out the observation deck, which is above and behind the garage. A short walk to the beach and a reasonable, but slightly longer walk to the village made this a very good location. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pans and spices and such. We had the pleasure of meeting our host Heather, who stopped by during our stay. She is very kind and personable. I would recommend this VRBO to others.

Another Great Stay!
This was our second time staying at this house and once again, it didn't disappoint. The house has everything you need, everything is clean and organized. Our family stayed in the other house on the property which was convenient and fun - we both had our own space but could easily hang out. We walked to the beach and downtown Carlsbad from the house - great location!

Fantastic location, a couple blocks to the beach and downtown! We enjoyed this cozy beach house and Heather, the property mgr, was very nice, communicative and hands on. The home came very well equipped, and the big hot tub was a fabulous feature to come home to after fun days. Perfect getaway for our young family.

A delightful respite
Frankly I don't think the listing does it justice. The decor is lovely and more importantly functional. The beds were so comfortable! My BFF says she slept great every night! The viewing platform was great to enjoy the sunset when we didn't feel like schlepping to the beach which was a 5 minute walk. Yes, we were lazy and this spot was perfect for us. There was an ample supply of gear for the beach. Great restaurants in every direction. Quiet neighborhood.
Heather was great to work with. She's very conscientious. I really can't say enough about how great an experience it was.
I would absolutely stay here again. Told hubby this would be a great romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay immensely! Heather is great to work with, she responds very quickly and is there to assist when needed. The location is great, easy walk to the beach and town. The house is nicely renovated with upgraded appliances. We used the hot tub and grill a few times, nice feature. The master king size bed is very soft with a foam topper, however, I slept like a baby, so I can't complain. There are other guests above the garage in a smaller unit, but it wasn't bothersome at all. Hardly knew they were there. We would definitely stay there again.

Carlsbad review
Generally the property was nice. Yard and area was overdue for general yard maintenance and refuse containers were full upon arrival. Hot tub was in need of cleaning and flushing.
The "scald proof" safety fixture for the master shower is quite fickle and very inconvenient.
Property manager was very helpful and responsive to requests.

Fantastic beach vacation!
We could not have been happier with our stay in this wonderful house. Everything surpassed our expectations - the house was immaculate, the kitchen well equipped, comfortable beds, great bathrooms with wonderful soft and fluffy towels, reliable high speed internet connection, lots of deck and patio space and the hot tub was a real treat after a long day at Legoland. Super short walk to the beach with a handy crosswalk. The beach supply closet at the back of the garage was awesome - lots beach chairs, toys, mats, umbrellas. The outdoor shower (hot and cold!) was great. One thing we really appreciated was that the instructions for the TV system, hot tub, tankless hot water heater were complete and easy to understand. We didn't use the garage, only because both us and the people staying in the guest house had large cars and it was hard to get in and out of our vehicle when we parked there, but we were always able to find safe street parking right in front. Owner/manager touched base with us to make sure we had arrived and I'm sure that had we needed anything, she would have seen to it quickly. This was only the second time we have used VRBO so don't have a lot of homes to compare this one with, but I think this will be the standard by which we measure all future ones and it will be hard to beat!

Great place to stay, both kid and adult-friendly. Awesome that it's within walking distance to many restaurants and only about a block from the beach. We definitely hope to stay here again!

Perfect House!
The house is in great condition - clean, modern and comfortable. The owner had everything well organized and labeled with clear instructions for how to use the TV, do laundry, check-out, etc. The outside area is wonderful as well. We had family rent the guest house and it was perfect for our two families to each have our own space but be so close. The location is awesome - just a few blocks from the beach and a short walk into downtown Carlsbad. We would definitely stay here again!
