Private secure parking

*The reviews were misleading ...the only honest review I have read since our stay was from a tourist from Israel who had the same experience as ourselves *our accommodation was described as a studio....it was literally a converted shed ...in fact it was half a shed conversion ...there were 2 'studios' ...into a 4metre x3metre space was crammed an uncomfortable double bunk bed with a single bunk bed on top,a kitchenette,metal shelving,a shelf like table top with 3 stools and an ensuite with iffy smelling drains...we were tripping over one another *we had paid in advance but should have cut our losses and found alternative comfortable accommodation instead *Breakfast which had been praised in reviews was lack lustre ...and a stale microwaved hard croissant would hardly be described as delicious ! *I want to add that my wife and I are seasoned travellers who have stayed in many wonderful small and large properties throughout the length and breadth of France and we have written plenty of positive reviews....and we are generally very pleased with booking.com..but this experience was such a disappointment and would put me off ever choosing a property facilitated by a private host again !

The breakfast was magnificent! Even on our very early departure, Madame gave us a bag full of delicious things. She was also very helpful in making sure we could drive away in the morning without another car in our way. Easy to get to Bayeux and a supermarket.

a small misunderstanding about using her fabulous kitchen was soon overcome. Nothing else to say.

Elena is very kind. Her breakfast good and with a lot of food (croissant, pain chocolat, fruit, tea or milk and coffee, coffee, ecc). Parking slot available in the private courtyard.

Elena was very flexible on check in time letting us arrive a little earlier which was very helpful after a long drive from Calais. Her communication was excellent. She met us on arrival and helped with parking, gave us a map and some useful info about Caen and where to eat etc. The place was in a nice area only a 20 min walk to the main centre which was very nice. The accommodation is in the owner's home, but is private. Elena made us a great breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, croissants, pain au chocolate. Lovely stay in a great little place.

Elena,was engaging and welcoming offered us a flask of tea of our choice for the evening and some good chocolate. The mini studio was spotless and comfy.the breakfast fresh and tasty. Elena offered us to take what we had not eaten with us as it was plentiful. A wonderful host offering a cosy well designed accommodation in a very well located place. We recommend.

Through no fault of her own, the Wi-Fi signal can be unreliable...but we managed.

Loved that I had very safe parking for my motorcycle behind a locked electric gate.

Sperate bathroom from room but minor quibble.

The room has a nice set up and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good with many choices.

There were cats in the house and I didn’t know about it. I’m allergic to cat’s hair so I had to take some pills for it. It was just one night stay.

1. Elena was a great host! The breakfast was amazing and it was kind of the best hotel breakfasts we had during our trip to France. 2. There was private parking free of charge. 3. The location is not too far from the centre (20-25 min walk to all the main sightseeing). 4. Even though there were other guests on the floor, we had a private bathroom just for us.

The only thing we didn't like was mosquitos. There was no net on the window and it really disturbed our sleep. We woke up all in bites 😛

- great breakfast! the fruit bowl even better than i made at home, very fresh and sweet:) - warm hosts, elena is always smiling and speaks softly - clear & well designed bathroom - you could park your car directly in the yard - cost effective - cute cat!!!!!!

- only thing is the shower is placed a bit low for us, we must hold it in hand. And water always splashed out as there is no shower curtain. but yes, just minor flaws.

We only stayed one night but loved the location and the hospitality was second to none. Can recommend this to anyone.
