The location of the cottage is very convenient for the Monsal Trail and towns such as Bakewell and Buxton. Ideal Peak District location. Very good pubs, serving excellent food within walking distance of the cottage. Cottage was comfortable with everything you’d need.

Excellent location, dog friendly, very cosy, helpful information booklet about the local area, good value for money.
The double mattress was a bit soft/lumpy and a dishwasher would have been great, but these were only minor inconveniences. Overall a lovely cottage in an excellent location.

Cosy cottage in a lovely English village. Christmas Eve carols on the Green, 2 good village pubs, Easy access to Monsal Trail for Boxing Day hike.
Loose connections in bedside lamps? Came on if you shook them. Cottage a bit hard to find if you arrive in the dark!

great location only an hours walk to Bakewell. 3 pubs all within walking distance.
lovely log burner, comfy beds and all amenities provided.
absolutely loved it and defo would stay again.
perhaps some better checks between guests, whoever was here before us had put dirty plates and cutlery away without washing them properly.

Two showers rooms, well stocked kitchen, clean.

Great location for walking and cycling without the need to use a car first. The garden is a lovely sun trap, perfect for al fresco meals.
It seemed a bit pricey for a three night stay, although it was a bank holiday weekend. It's worth warning people that the steps up to the garden are very steep and some are uneven. (It appears that these are in the process of bring improved)
