The property came up to expectations as seen in the ad. It was a bit old as we could see, the amenities were very good plenty of kitchen ware, good frig, stove and dishwasher. Good bathroom and comfortable lounge room, plenty of outdoor space. No real issues at all, the interior walls could use a bit of sprucing up. All in all a good stay.

Neat and tidy accommodation. House was as it was described . Older house but very clean throughout. My friends and I were on a motorbike trip and it was a very comfortable stop off for the price.

Terrible stay.
The house was not cleaned after previous guests, it strongly smelled of dogs and had no bed sheets, towels or toilet paper. We had to purchase those in the local shopping centre (thankfully the shops were still open) and clean the kitchen and bathroom ourselves.
All this after an 8hr drive to Broken Hill.
The owner was apologetic and refunded part of the fee afterwards, but this experience has ruined a holiday for me.

Family and pet friendly
This property was ideal for our recent family visit to Broken Hill. With a 2 year old and two dogs the yard was secure and a good size (however ‘twas the season for 3 corner jacks and they were a problem!)
It wasn’t a luxuriant property but we were needing a large place with comfortable beds and we got that.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at this property. Clean, although missing some basics like dishcloths & tea towels, and the beds were comfortable. Beware that there’s no wi-fi at the property.

House was clean and in a great location close to the Main Street in Broken Hill.It had everything you could possibly need.The pictures shown don't do it justice of how good the house is! The backyard is big and secure if you have a large dog too.I would defiantly stay again.Thanks so much :)

Was clean and tidy and had plenty of character for that in a mining town
Was large enough for us and suited our needs for the weekend away at the races. All facilities were functioning and the house was clean.

Suitably priced and comfortable stay!
A very 'what you see is what you get' old miner's cottage that suited us perfectly for a family visit of 2 adults and 3 kids.
Comfort levels were tested on hot consecutive 40+ degree days but passed easily with two refrigerated airconditioners + ceiling fans in all bedrooms and front loungeroom, cooling the cottage.
Not 4-star accommodation (maybe 3?) but thoroughly deserves this 4-star review because it doesn't pretend to be and matches it's advertised price and pictures.
Could easily get 5-stars if the host and neighbours could come to some sort of arrangement to fix the issue of their missing back/side fencing.
The neighbours who we shared our backyard with were friendly enough though, no problems at all.
Our host was so prompt and easy to deal with, we'd have no problems booking this property in future.

Not value for money
Spacious house and yard however very basic inside.
Unclean grill and oven, blocked hand basin in bathroom and mould in shower.
Uncomfortable bed in main bedroom.
The lounge in kitchen area consisted of two very worn cushions placed on a piece of MDF board for support as none left in the actual chair so really was unusable! The matching lounge suite in other area was only marginally better.
Have been trying to contact owner since returning regarding a refund which had been agreed upon several weeks before we travelled however they are not replying to my emails. This is very disappointing.

Not up to standard
The property was well presented but the fridge still contained left over Chinese food, milk and wine from previous guests. The inside bin had not been emptied. When I advised the owner, her response was to chuck the Chinese out but the milk was still in date.
Early the next morning the neighbour was yelling abuse at his dogs using poor language, then another neighbour engaged in yelling.
We were very uncomfortable and left the property while yelling was still going on.
