My wife is vegetarian and the food was excellent.

Sort of posh three course dinner that was served in 40 minutes and then the staff started cleaning up in the kitchen like school lunch. Also, I couldn’t do laundry, but had to listen to the washing machine the entire morning. It was right next to my room.

Modern boutique style hotel on the waterfront with free parking. Menu varied between Japanese and western each night with lots of fresh seafood and homemade bread and pasta. Room was spacious with lots of plugs for charging devices. Bathroom was typically small. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. Would stay again.

The food prepared for the half-board was fantastic, we had the added items (crabs & fish) which were divine. The staff spoke some English, making it easier to communicate.

The hotel is 2 storey tall with no lift. To take note if you have elderly folks on the trip. The car park is also a little tight for a bigger car (Nissan Serena).

The dinner was incredible, and the staff were kind and helpful. A convenient gateway to Shiretoko and ocean-based activities in the area.

The hot water was completely perplexing, cutting out entirely at some times leaving me cold, wet and soapy. For locals familiar with the system and the language it is probably understandable, but for others some instruction is necessary. I also felt the rest of the room was too minimalistic to be practical; a reading lamp and improved hanging/storage place would help.

Central location in Rausu but still quiet, comfortable room, friendly staff and good food - our second visit and won’t be our last.

The supply of hot water for bath was good on the evening but not in the morning. The quantity of meal could be more.

The dinners at this hotel are four star quality- absolutely fantastic. I would go again just to eat the dinners there. Breakfasts, in contrast, are completely one pattern. Adequate but uninteresting. The rooms are basic, with Japanese unit bathrooms, the location, walking distance to the harbor, though, is fantastic.
