The room was extremely comfortable, plenty of space, clean, modern with a fire! We had access to a shared kitchen with tea, coffee and fruits. Also had a lovely terrace to read in the sun

There was construction work in the am which woke us a little earlier than expected. Otherwise everything else was spot on!

Amazing guesthouse with ~6 spacious and wonderfully equipped rooms with patio or balcony. You'll find everything you need there, including a shared kitchen area. It's clean and very cozy and even has a fireplace - perfect for everyone who wishes to stay in a secluded space located in a quiet area. Every little detail taken care of... Shared kitchen available has complimentary hot and cold water as well as fruit and cereal. Amazing view overlooking town. 5-10 min walking distance from busier area - nice and quiet.

As a solo traveler, I was hoping to meet fellow travelers, but I was the only guest at times, it felt a little lonely. What was a little confusing is that Booking showed that only 1 room was available but the entire place was empty. The lady Angelica who took care of the place was friendly, gave recommendations and made me feel welcome. The owner/manager Diana was traveling when I was there. She welcomed me very nicely by WhatsApp but was not very responsive to my my messages/questions that I had during the time I stayed there. Wifi was a little slow in the room.

Wonderful property. Close enough to walk into the action without being loud. Amazing staff. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. The room was perfect, and it was so nice to have the fireplace! The location is just out of the main tourist area and is just a short walk to the walking streets. The host Diane was lovely, too! 100% recommend this place, stay here!!!

Nada, we liked everything

A lot of space and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms behind are quite. There was a small kitchen in the room, but also a common kitchen with a terrace.

Problems with humidity, especially in the bathroom. Some carpets and furniture a bit older.

Lovely hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the town. Easy walking distance from town. Very friendly host. loved the log fire for the chilly nights. Thoughtful extras such as a fridge breakfast items, tea coffee and fruits.

Wow, this place was a wonderful respite from hotel life. Our en-suite rooms were spacious and clean, with big comfy beds with tv and sofa, a coffee machine and a sink. Angelina greeted us, showed us round and lit the wood fire in my room. She gave us lots of extra blankets, because there had just been a downpour., so we were very warm and cosy at night. Across the pretty garden, full of flowers and plants, was the Games Room, with packets of porridge, teas, some fruit, organic chocolate, hot and cold water to drink, a fridge and a microwave. It was bliss to sit out on the terrace in the sun, eating porridge and fruit from the market for breakfast. Diana is always available on WhatsApp, and Angelina comes at 8am each day to clean and re-stock the Games Room. The location was excellent, within 15 minutes walk of practically everywhere. NB if you’re due to be collected from the guest house, make sure your taxi/tour driver doesn’t confuse it with the hotel Casa Gaia.

Gaia was such a lovely place for me. It was my third place in SanCris bc i had to move twice for a variety of reasons (poor wifi, inadequacy of facilities, etc). I liked the terrace and I worked from there daily and enjoyed the fresh air, little garden, and the mountains in he distance. The wifi was great for the most part although there were a couple outages which they tried to fix promptly. The free breakfast was an awesome thing to have! I could request cleaning for my room whenever needed.

I wish the desk in my room had an actual chair and not a stool. I did at some point borrow a chair from the nourishment area for my room and they didn't seem to mind. I also wish a portable heater would have been available for the few nights it got chilly. It seems that isn't a common thing to provide in SanCris even though it gets quite cold at night sometimes.

Big appartment, clean and nice. But it was cold in the night time. In common areas you have some snacks and pure water.

The owner contacted us right after reservation with detailed instructions and provided us with good advices on what to see and where to go in town. The apartments are really nice, spacious and well equipped. The hotel is in calm part of town. We felt great in this stay.

Gaia Guest house is a huge, 900 sq. ft single level ground floor home. It is inside a private compound that also has a separate building with 4 other single-room studio apartments that looked very nice. We stayed at the guest house. The house has 5 large rooms, side-by-side and joined by a long 60ft (20meter) hallway - a bedroom with plenty of drawer and hanging space, - a huge kitchen and dining area, with well stocked kitchen (6 burner gas stove and oven, fridge, plenty of accessories, coffee, etc. A Fruit and cereal breakfast is also provided for guests on the rooftop patio above this home. - a huge living room with 2 sofas, fireplace and TV - and office with 2 desks, - bathroom with large shower and plentiful hot water in the shower, ( also bathroom sink and kitchen) Property had everything we could want, and the daily housekeeper Angelina was always available on property when needed to answer questions with a smile or provide an extra towel, or anything needed. It was like staying with family. Location is between the main plaza and the Guadalupe church which are opposite ends of the major tourist east-west street. We walked everywhere for 6 days, and could reach any destination in 10mins. Never needed a taxi in town as everything was walkable. 1.5 blocks to grocery, 2 blocks to a Lavenderia, and a 5-10min walk across town to the market on the north side of Centro. To top off this experience, the host Diana makes herself available by phone if ever needed and speaks perfect English. So if you do not speak any Spanish, you will still have a way to communicate any needs.

The common room is above the appartment and that's really noisy of someone is there It's quite cold inside, there is a fireplace but it really smells. The bed is too small We didn't have hot water the first day, turned out the boiler was off. Was fixed when turned on.

We loved that we had access to a kitchen and wood stove. The bedroom was very comfortable, we loved the kitchen table to work, even though there was an extra room for office working. Also it was quiet and still less than 10pm away from the centre walking.

The internet was good and had some hiccups every now and then. Unfortunately the room was very cold, because it is bigger with not a lot of direct sunlight, but we chose this because it was the only one with a kitchen. So some draft would come in through the metal doors of the corridor. I would suggest to close the window of the bedroom with a glass pane, to help keep the heat in the bedroom. But we loved our stay ! Thank you

Absolutely wonderful place to stay - the little apartment on the upper floor was immaculate and beautiful with a lot of natural light and beautiful details. We loved having the fireplace on chilly evenings. Comfortable bed and nice lighting options. Hot shower. Very clean and comfortable and so quiet and peaceful at night! There is a separate kitchen with hot water, coffee, tea, cacao, drinking water and some fruit and snacks provided which was such a thoughtful and nice touch. We felt spoilt and happy here. Diana the host is lovely and welcoming and she allowed us to arrive early and leave a little after the check out time, which was much appreciated. She also helped and booked a taxi for us! Thank you Diana!
