Waterfront Home on Westcott Bay! Private Beach Access! 3 bedroom home on Westcott Bay with a private beach for exploring and close to Roche Harbor!
1 dog per reservation with a pet fee. The dog is not to be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended and a neighbor calls to complain, renter will be charged a $200 fee. The dog must be house trained. Dog weight must be less than 60 lbs. No pets on furniture. The renter assumes responsibility for all extra cleaning needed such as emergency carpet cleaning, furniture replacement, and or emergency laundromat use for bulky items like comforters and pillows. The dog must be house trained and on-leash while outside.
This home is a wonderful mix of classic and modern. The downhill winding driveway and landscaped walkway set the scene for a relaxing island vacation before you even reach the front door.
The living room is arranged to maximize the view of Westcott Bay and allow for comfortable gatherings around the electric fireplace. The kitchen and dining room are adjacent to one another, making meals easy and enjoyable for everyone! A wide deck extends the whole length of the house, and offers a dining area, gas BBQ grill and lounge chairs to kick back and enjoy the view. This home does not have Air Conditioning, as the ocean breeze and a few open windows (screened in) are more than sufficient to cool down the home.
All 3 bedrooms are located on the main floor of the home. Wake up in the King primary bedroom or guest King bedroom to morning views of the bay through the large picture windows. The two King beds have recently been updated to Stearns & Foster Rockwell luxury firm euro pillowtop king mattresses. The 3rd bedroom is equipped with a Stearns & Foster Rockwell luxury firm euro pillowtop queen mattress and adorned in a nautical theme.
Once you are ready to adventure, look no further than the path to the Crab Shack! The Crab Shack is a covered area just below the home with a large deck built with benches, offering an unobstructed view all the way to the Westcott Bay Shellfish Farm on the other side of the water. To the right of the Crab Shack is a path leading to a clearing with and benches for wildlife viewing. It's the perfect place to watch the San Juan Sunset and make some memories.
Fire pits are not usable from May 1st-September 30th due to county burn ban and safety of property and neighboring areas. Ban is usually lifted October 1st if/when conditions and weather are favorable. Firewood not provided.

We were a party of 5 adults and all of us were impressed with this home. I truly don't feel that the photos do it justice. The location was perfect and provided us with such a beautiful view along with a very peaceful setting. We cooked in and the kitchen had more than enough of what we needed; this is big since two of our guys are amazing cooks. Beds were very comfortable. We LOVED how large the deck was overlooking the water. The house felt larger than the square footage listed; however, the huge deck really extends your living space. PLUS, who wants to be inside when you can sit out there and enjoy nature and good company. We all highly recommend this home and will be renting it again in the future. It was very clean and well maintained. We did not need to contact the management company during our stay. I did receive several very helpful emails from them prior to our arrival that I greatly appreciated. Giving us driving directions from the ferry, suggested things to do and see. Very helpful.

We were all speechless pulling into the driveway of this home. It is a smaller home, but has a powerful punch! The views were amazing and the house was actually perfect. It was up to date and the beds were comfortable! We absolutely loved it. The location exceeded our expectations. The wildlife we saw was a bonus! Wow! Wow! wow!

We had a great stay at the house. Lots of time was spent out on the deck each day watching the water and wildlife. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Overall the space worked well for our group of 4 plus one dog. Would definitely return!

We had the best experience staying in this beautiful home. The views from almost every room are just amazing. We found the home nice and clean and fully stocked, we cooked several meals there and found all the extra spices and oils that we needed. We so enjoyed sitting out on the deck and just watch the wild life and the occasional boat going by, it was peaceful and quiet! When we come back to San Juan Island we would love to stay here again, well worth the extra money to stay in this place.

This house was in a quiet neighborhood, but had easy access to Friday Harbor, National Parks, and rentals/ tours.

The house was very clean, kitchen had up to date appliances, and beds were comfortable. Lovely view of the inlet from the living room and deck. Lots to do on San Juan for families or older adults. We were a group of 6 - myself, my husband, two teenagers and my parents. The house felt a bit small as there are just two smallish bathrooms. I think it would be perfect for a group of 4.
I did feel that the house could have been cleaned more thoroughly especially given the extremely high fees.
I will most likely not return though due to the fees charged by San Juan Property Management. The nightly rental rate was over $800 since this is peak season. In addition SJPM charged a $275 cleaning fee and a non refundable damage fee of $120 and a pandemic cleaning fee of $100. There was also an affordable housing fee of $195 which I guess is a pass through fee from the island. Fees came to almost $690 for the stay.
Also guests are required to empty the trash, strip the sheets, start the dishwasher and start a load of towels on checkout.
Overall I feel that the fees are way too high for the size of this property. However as long a guests are willing to pay the fees, I guess they will be charged.

Roche Harbor Wedding
Attended a wedding at Roche Harbor. Property was conveniently located about 3/4 of a mile away. No stairs so great for our two small grandchildren.

The Crab Shack was wonderful. We enjoyed waking up to the beautiful views of the bay. The kitchen was well stocked. The Cowboy Cauldron was our favorite place to spend the evenings. I would recommend placing a few more lights along the path and marking the deck steps better. We each tripped once or twice. We loved our stay and were sad to say goodbye to the Crab Shack.

We had the best time at this property! Our family of 4 includes a 3-year-old and 1-year old, and found the space worked great. The beach access was fantastic and we enjoyed having our meals outside on the deck, with its gorgeous view of the bay. The beds were really comfortable, towels were plush, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location was quiet and we could watch deer stroll by the front of the house. Only wish we could have stayed a little longer!
