La ubicación es muy buena.

Lo mejor del hospedaje es la ubicación que queda a 2 cuadras del ADO turístico, a 4 cuadras de la playa, a 2 cuadras del sector comercial y de la Quinta Avenida. La habitación es amplia y la cama también. Los encargados del hotel son personas amables, nos permitieron guardar el equipaje desde temprano hasta la hora del check-in, para que pudiéramos realizar nuestras actividades en Playa del Carmen.

La habitación es oscura, aunque tiene una ventana (que no se puede abrir) y se corra la cortina, como da al interior del hospedaje, de todas formas queda completamente oscuro. No hay iluminación ni ventilación natural dentro del cuarto. Esto genera un fuerte olor a humedad. Las habitaciones de las fotos lucen mejor que la que nos correspondió. Considero que el precio que se paga es muy alto para lo que se ofrece, sin embargo, es difícil encontrar algo más barato y mejor en Playa del Carmen.

Traditional fan cooled room overlooking a garden, everything works, just 5 m to beach.

Traditional mexican fan cooled room overlooking a garden. wifi works, water reliable and sheets clean. Freindly staff especially Lucio. Reasonably central and much quieter than Avenue 5, just 5 minutes from the beach.

Some bulbs missing, we carry 2 plugin bulbs whenever we travel. No hooks to hang things on. No water glasses in room.

Personal spricht kein Wort englisch. Bei der Buchung stand, Klimaanlage. War aber nur Fan. War aber zu warm, für nur Fan. Verhandelt, aber keine Chance, extra 6€ für die Klimaanlage.

Very good

Located on the Main Street, I thought it would be noisy. It is not. I had a nice stay with the staff always trying to be ahead of the game.

Some guess coming late are sometimes noisy.

This place really makes an effort, great value.

This obviously looks like a low cost motel (old style curtains etc.), no pretending to be something it's not there. But I was very pleasantly surprised about how much they still made the effort to provide little things that much more expensive places I stayed in over this Mexico trip didn't bother to provide. Especially as it's such a prime location 2 blocks from the beach and on Avenida Juarez, they could easily just lean on that for the price. For example, the bed is huge and was quite comfortable, I always check every inch of beds in hotels and this was always clean with no stains, the room was diligently cleaned everyday, the airconditioning was superb, there was a desk & chair and this is the only hotel (of about 6) I stayed in while in Mexico that provided a wide range of cable channels with audio that could be changed to English with no issues. Honestly, have to give them props for trying.

Didn't really use the towels as, unlike the bedding, I kept seeing stains. The corridors were used by large families or groups of people making noise right outside my door till very late. Also not necessarily a negative but this was the first and only place I saw a sign for not flushing toilet paper down the toilet at all. This was extremely odd to me but then I found out it is actually quite common in Mexico. I'm afraid I just couldn't do it. I also didn't see this in any other hotel so I guess their plumbing also is relatively not great? Also took a while for water to get hot and would have been nice to have a sign saying which is which, especially if I have to wait for one of them to heat up.

Location was perfect, so close to the beach, across from Oxxo and so close to ADO bus station. Very satisfied, and extremely good value for your money :)

Superb location, clean but very basic

The location was excellent, close to the beach, close to the ferry and the restaurant next door very good. They also changed a matrace on our double bed, because the first one was like a pothole :) It was clean enough. There was warm water :)

The room is very basic - i mean a bed and that is it, no table or chair or nightlamp. Otherwise good, I do recommend.

Avoid if you like sleep.

Location is very good, a block away from ADO bus station and close to ferry, which was exactly the reason we chose it. The WiFi and aircon worked.

I'm shocked that this hotel is rated 7.7 at the time when I booked, last minute without properly reading the reviews - my bad. It was a bad stay, luckily only one long and mostly sleepless night. The place is really old, clearly hasn't seen even a basic update in decades, and it's crumbling. Guest stairs are a mess. In the room the concrete tiles in the bathroom around the sink were falling apart, there was barely any water pressure, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, only one light switch and light bulb worked. There was no hot water. The mattress on the bed was one of the worst I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Worst of all, from before midnight until after 8 am (!) incredibly loud techno music was playing from a club a block away, and there was absolutely no escaping it in the second floor room, even through shut windows and with earplugs. The unending noise plus the terrible mattress made for a very long and unpleasant night. I know the noise is not the hotel's fault, but knowing their guests are unlikely to sleep through the night, they could invest in some sort of insulation or at the very least let their guests know ahead of time so they can make an informed decisions. All this = me shocked: this is not a 7.7 hotel, and definitely not worth a price of 50 euro per night. I would not recommend staying there until they make some basic renovations, the state of the place is unacceptable.

Pleasant

The location is great! Near to main bus station. Near the main 5th boulevard. Near the ferry to Cozumel. Al those places last then 5 minutes walk. Very good WiFi. Excellent air condition in the room.

The hotel is very very old and very simple. There is a lot of rust in the room. And the room is very small. But maybe because all of that the price is cheap.

Perfect location in the city center

Location is perfect. It is 3 min walking from the sandy beach and from the city center. Privacy in the rooms are on good level. Stuff are nice.

At night I heard noise from the clubs and couldn't sleep. Towels are small.

Disappointing

Too hot...room is like an oven.. get aircon Way hotter in the room than outside Music rave on all night just outside with thumping music so impossible to sleep ... It's now 5am and still going ...

It’s an old hotel , when I checked in sweaty the water was off so I had to wait for water to return , but I suspect that

Great value!

Location! Just a block and half away from ADO bus station and few blocks from the ferry dock. Great value for the price.

Hot water didn't work but it was so warm outside the cold shower actually felt great.

Amazing value for money

I don't understand the bad reviews of this hotel. The location couldn't be better and the value for money is amazing. The staff are super nice and polite. The facilities and rooms are very clean and quiet as it is set back from the road. The a/c works fine and the shower has hot water and good pressure. This is not a five star resort but otherwise I have no idea what people are complaining about. Everything bad I read in the reviews is inaccurate. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. For the price and location you cannot beat it in Playa.

It was slightly strange to only provide one towel in a family room but to be fair I did not ask for extras. Everything else was great
