About this house rental
Super fun, airy, open floor plan California style beach cottage just 2 blocks to the beach and much more. Renovated for 2017 season. We call our house The Windjammer in Rehoboth Beach. You will find this style home all around the area. These homes were originally built as affordable beach retreats for families in the 60's. It has such a cool vibe you'll think your relaxing in Orange Co., CA or Hawaii. Walk to all that Dewey Beach has to offer. Be sure to check out the happy hour at the Dewey Beer Company, or grab some of the best crab cakes on the Eastern Shore at Woody's. If you’re in the mood for music and nightlife your just steps away from Bottle & Cork and the Rusty Rudder. Take the Jolly Trolley from Dewey Beach into downtown Rehoboth Beach for fine dining, shopping, the boardwalk, and Funland for the kids. Historic downtown Lewes is only a 5 mile bike ride away.
4 bedroom 3 bath home with additional outside shower. Well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal. Coffee center with Keurig K-cup coffee maker, french press, tea pot, and classic coffee maker, and beverage cooler. Dining table for 10; 12 if you really like each other.
Master bedroom has 1 king bed and private bathroom with large shower. The remaining bedrooms share 2 additional full bathrooms. In the newly remodeled bathroom you will find a tub. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen size beds with easy access to one of the two full bathrooms off the hall.
The bunk room has 4 single beds and is great for the kids.
There are two living areas. The main living area is just off the kitchen and has comfortable seating for everyone. In the back of the house you will find a newly renovated living space with a great view of the backyard and patio. The back living area is a great place to relax and read a book or work on a puzzle. Awesome 70 mbps (for you non nerds out there this is really fast internet) wifi service that covers the entire home and back patio. The main living room television is connected to both cable and has an Apple TV so you can stream your favorite shows. You can also bring your own streaming device to use with any of the televisions in the house. We made it easy for you to just connect and stream without having to pull all the cables out.
The front screen porch has a dining area for 4-6 people. It is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or plug in the party lights and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The backyard patio is second to none with plenty of space to hang out and cook on the grill. Enjoy the shade during the warm summer days and light up the night with festive party lights.
You will also have a full size washer and dryer to use. These are located just off the 2nd living area in the back of the house.
Tons of off street parking with room for 5 cars. Bring your bikes and your surf/paddle boards and enjoy the many options that are close by. Lockable storage for bikes & boards is provided.

We had a great stay at Lisa’s home! We were traveling with 4 couples and 2 infants. Overall the layout and shared spaces in the home were abundant for us all to eat, play games and spend time together when not on the beach. One adult couple shared the twin bunk room, which we did not mind because there was adequate space for a pack n play! The other rooms were cozy with comfortable beds and one had a small table/desk to take a few work calls. The location of this house is everything! 2.5 blocks to the beach, 0.4 miles to the heart of Dewey (we walked for dinners, ice cream, coffee), and a manageable walk to downtown Rehobeth. The cleaners must’ve had an off week because the house wasn’t as sparkling as all of the reviews suggest, but non the less we had an amazing time and would stay again! Lisa was also great with communication. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is nicely modernized and a good location. The kitchen is very well stocked in terms of towels, cooking implements, etc. The host was responsive to questions. We'd highly recommend staying there!

We had a great week. This house was perfectly appointed, close to everything and had an amazing beachy vibe. Each room had it's own climate control which was a definite plus. I did not want to leave! The host was very helpful and responsive.

Lisa’s Windjammer was a great place to stay for a beach vacation. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and has just about everything you might need. Was surprised to see a Kitchen Aid mixer among a wide array of appliances. My daughter was thrilled as she was making a cake for her dad’s birthday. We loved having two areas to hang out inside and a deck out back and a front screened in porch at the front. Loved the shower outside after a day at the beach. And the big dining table was great for communal gatherings- dinners and games. It was a two block walk to the beach which was a quick walk to the beach and to Dewey’s main commercial area. Lisa was responsive to my questions. We would recommend this place for a vacation at the beach!

The house was perfect for our group of 8 including 5 adults and 3 children. Family vacation with ages ranging from 1 to 74. The house is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Well stocked kitchen and great appliances. Lots of games. Nice private backyard with grills and a great outdoor shower. The hosts were easy to reach and very responsive. Would highly recommend.

We loved staying at this property! The house itself was beautiful and very tastefully decorated - we loved having so many windows that let it lots of light. The house was very clean and extremely well-stocked with everything that we could need (the kids especially enjoyed trying out all the board/card games). The location was extremely convenient to the beach and lots of shops/restaurants, and it was super easy to hop on the Jolly Trolley to get to the main drag in Rehoboth. The owner was very easy to reach and responsive to our questions. We will definitely be back again next year!

This house is well equipped from kitchen needs (all the dishware, cookware and entertaining necessities), to family entertainment, to beach necessities (chairs, umbrella, sand toys).
Decor is beach themed, lovely and every room is very comfortable. And, the front porch and back yard as well as the two living areas were well used by our entire family.
The beach is just a couple of blocks away and an easy walk. The fun shops and restaurants of Dewy Beach were enjoyed by all.
The property host is exceptional to work with, very responsive and accommodating.
We loved every minute in this wonderful house and will long remember our time spent there.

The Windjammer worked out to be the perfect location and layout for our group. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to spread out between either the main living/dining area, the back living room or the outside patio area. Our family is already thinking about making a return visit to the same property next summer.

Had a great time at Elizabeth Ave! Cutest little cottage, perfectly appointed and with all you need. ! Great location, but quiet enough to chill if you prefer not to head out into the beach crowds. The host are wonderful and so easy to engage with. Highly highly recommend!

The Windjammer is wonderful house in an ideal beach location. The town of Dewey is a quick & easy walk. If you are up for 1.25 mile (or so) walk, you are in Rehoboth as well. The access is fantastic. As is the ease of getting to the beach.
The location is obviously important but the house itself is wonderful as well. You can easily fit six cars there and that was important to us as our family used the house as our dinner / evening gathering point. There were eight of us staying at the house but we added another six many nights for family dinners & games. It was spacious, adorable, and comfortable.
We did need to contact the owner a few times and we were very appreciative at the promptness of her responses.
We are planning on coming back next year. Thanks again for a great family vacation.

We had very specific requirements that needed to be met to ensure a successful week with our adult kids and 2 1/2 hr old granddaughter. This house was absolutely perfect. Each couple needed a big bed and their own bathroom plus a bathtub for the toddler. Everyone was very happy with the accommodations. In addition, the rest of the house was extremely comfortable with enough rooms and spaces for everyone to hang out either together or alone. The backyard also was ideal - lots of space, totally enclosed and the outdoor shower was an added bonus.
We brought so many items that were already provided, like games, puzzles, washable markers and crayons, kitchen cleaning supplies and even a charcoal chimney for the grill (altho we ended up using the gas grill). I'm very particular about my coffee and the house had not only a press pot, a Cuisinart Drop and Keurig pods, but also an electric tea kettle. There were abundant dishes, cutlery, cutting boards, etc. Also a huge washing machine and dryer with a jar of clothes soap.
The walk to the beach was really easy - just 2 blocks. We had brought our own beach chairs but those were also available at the house, along with 2 umbrellas.
Our hosts made sure the house was spotless when we arrived and were available if we needed help with anything. All in all, we had a very successful stay and I would recommend this house without hesitation.

We were worried about crossing the busy road but it wasn’t bad at all. The light is very long so sometimes you have to wait for what seems like an hour but is probably no more than 5 minutes. Beach is about 3 blocks away. We were easily able to carry our stuff back and forth. The house is a lesson on how to optimize space. We had 7 people and it was more than enough. The kitchen might be better stocked then my own. Owners were very easy to communicate with.

Bright and cheery with all the amenities you’ll need for your stay. Kitchen was updated since last we were here. Plenty of room for all 8 out us (ages 21-83!). Easy walk to the beach and to the town of Dewey down the coastal highway.

The property is in the perfect location- and the walk to the beach is even shorter than it looks in the video shown. The kitchen is well equipped with all you may need, and the kids loved the bunk room!

This house was just right - a good size for everyone to get together or to split into two or three smaller groups. The outdoor shower was top notch! The location was also perfect; an easy walk to an area of the beach that was not overcrowded but still had a lifeguard presence. Short drives to the outlets, the Rehoboth boardwalk, mini-golf, and the grocery store. The house has a ton of charm, with fun art and plenty of seating. We all, from ages 12 to 79, really enjoyed our stay!

Lovely house a few blocks from the beach
The space was perfect for our needs. Well equipped kitchen for cooking meals. We spent time on both the screened in front porch and the back patio (well shaded). Both great little spots for our family of 10 to spread out. Lisa was very responsive to the few small issues that arose. Would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this lovely house. Beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen with thoughtful touches like coffee pods, and a secluded and tranquil backyard. The location was close enough to walk to the bustle of Dewey yet on a quiet street.

There aren’t enough words for how fantastic this house was! Beautiful, airy, light filled space, thoughtfully appointed, incredibly comfortable. Great communal spaces, lovely porch, GREAT backyard. Best beach house!
The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s a wonderful rental and stocked with everything you might need and more. This was our fifth year renting in Rehoboth and this was everyone’s favorite house to date. 5 stars for cleanliness, location, parking, outdoor space and comfort!

Perfect vacation rental
We loved our vacation and stay at this property. If you adore this house in the pictures, you’ll love it even more in person. The kitchen has been updated since the last pictures so it’s even nicer (and stocked with absolutely anything you may need). The house is really spacious and is so inviting. Of course, you go to Dewey/Rehoboth for the beach and the walk is a super easy one. It also “drops” you on a larger, less crowded section of the beach which is nice. Lisa was very communicative, helpful, and responsive. You’ll be very happy if you book this house.

AH-mazing!!
We absolutely loved everything about this house! It looked beautiful online but it’s even nicer in person- such attention to detail. The location is perfect-it’s in a quiet neighborhood but a quick walk to the bars and restaurants in Dewey and also a short walk to the beach. The owner was very quick to respond when I messaged her which I appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again!

Lovely vacation
We had a wonderful time at the beach. Enough room for everyone to spread out. So many nice touches. The usb outlets, multiple coffee makers, WiFi, washer/dryer, grill, board games….so much it’s tough to name them all. Owner was reachable and quick to respond. The neighborhood was quiet and beach walkable.
