Property is child-friendly with walkout beach, stairs going down to the water, Large FirePit Area on Concrete Slab with Umbrellas and Lounge Chairs, Spacious Dock with covered seating area, huge floating dock, swim ladder, diving board, plenty of area to tie up boats and jet skis, gentle rolling lawn, awesome views. Bring your boat, jet ski, kayaks or canoes to enjoy the lake. Small slide going into the water which the kids love.

Pros:
Great Host: The host was helpful and accommodating.
Basement Apartment on the Water: The location is picturesque, offering a nice waterfront view.
Cons:
Outdated Property: The apartment felt outdated and could use some modernizing.
Unpleasant Smell: There was an unpleasant odor throughout the apartment.
Lack of Storage: The bedroom, which sleeps four people, had no closet or dresser.
Inadequate Accommodations: The listing claimed to accommodate seven people, but there were only four chairs at the dining table and not enough towels for all guests.
Misleading Listing: The listing showed a swing set, but there was none. Additionally, there were no walk boards as advertised.
Noise Issues: The most disappointing aspect was being woken up at 6:30 AM every morning by a child yelling and running around for an hour, which severely impacted our stay.
Summary:
While the host was great and the waterfront location was appealing, several issues significantly affected our stay. The outdated and smelly property, lack of essential amenities, misleading listing details, and early morning noise were major drawbacks. Improvements in these areas could enhance future guests' experiences.

We spent a week here and got exactly what we wanted. Access to the lake to swim and chill, but also close to other activities that we could take our kids to go do throughout the week. The owners gave all the privacy we needed even though they are right on property. We enjoyed every moment. It was a great first experience to the Lake Norman Area. One thing I would check on before you arrive is what water equipment will be available for your stay. We ended up only having access to the paddle boat and some floats, and wish we would have access to the kayaks and other equipment that was listed. But this did not hinder the fun we had!

My first impression when i walked in the door was that the pictures online didn't do justice. I just smiled and felt cozy and comfortable immediately. We arrived late at night and hadn't been able to get to the store yet. It would've been nice to have coffee pods for the Kuerig in the morning. That is the only recommendation i would make. Our hosts and their grandchildren were super friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed cruising around the lake in the paddle boat. The kids loved sliding down the slide into the lake and making s'mores over the fire. Great place to relax! We look forward to visiting again. Thank you to Linda and Frank!!

Property could be perfect. A few things need to be fixed. Generally good. On a cove with no wake zone no speedy boats. Launch ramp about 8 miles but not hard to get to. Local ramp not public. Boat dock used for tying up boat during stay. Towels and linens were furnished.

The place was perfect, guiet and right on Lake Norman. Too cold to go hang out in the water but was beautiful to look at. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room and all utensils needed was provided. Frank and his wife were very friendly and answered any questions I had.

It’s an average place with a beautiful view. Very dim lighting in kitchen. The rates are great. Needs some updating. Loveseat needs to be replaced. Enjoyed kitty that visited. We didn’t catch any fish here, even though we tried. Grill needed to be repaired and when I let them know, they bought a new one for us within a day.

Absolutely kid-approved. I have 3, far apart in ages 15, 7.. and 2years old and we all had a blast together! All had something they wanted to do out on the dock area. As well as the perfect spot for swimmers as well, considering the beach area. The house was clean and everything provided and check-out To-Do list was very minimal and easy. The host was welcoming and helpful consistently and we will definitely be back ☀️😎

We played at the lake for a few days, then ventured out and did different things in the Charlotte area and this was a great base for everything. The cabin is as described with everything needed for a fun vacation at the lake - safe swim and play area with a beach and covered docks featuring slide, diving board, fridge and cleats for your watercraft. Inside has space to lounge, a small dining table and kitchen, clean bedrooms and bathroom, and a laundry room. The hosts are nice but gave us plenty of space and responded helpfully and promptly to any questions. Grocery, marinas and dining nearby. FYI There is a cool park a mile or two north of the cabin with trails, a cool playground and more.

The property was great! Easy access to the Lake and wonderful neighbors! Very clean and a wonderful place to just relax and enjoy the moonlight nights. For our teenagers the wifi was not working and when it did work it wasn't for very long. If someone was trying to work and have some vacation time as they would not be able to depend on the WiFi. Over all wonderful place and we highly recommend it.

I was delighted to find this property near family I was visiting at Lake Norman. You get a lot for the very affordable rate! The second bedroom made it easy to share the apartment with my cousin. The care and attention from the hostess was an especially sweet surprise. I will definitely rent this property again.

My parents and I stayed here for a quick trip to visit my son in Mooresville. We enjoyed it very much. It was so nice to wake up in the morning and see out at Lake Norman! Apartment was very clean and well stocked with things you may need for cooking. I talked to Frank for a few minutes in the driveway. Very nice man. There is nothing negative I can say about this property.

The location of this property is perfect! Close to a grocery store, restaurants, and anything else you may need. Walk out of your place and into the water of a quiet cove of beautiful Lake Norman. The use of the boat dock for sunning and relaxing is perfect.! We loved the double swing on the dock! The property hosts are VERY nice and accommodating. Water/Lake view from all rooms!!! Will go back for a longer stay next time.

Owners Frank & Linda are amazing people. This is my 2nd time staying here. Very family friendly. Keep in mind you are staying in the fully furnished walkout basement of their beautiful log cabin home. It is your own space but the owners do live upstairs. This works out well for us as our families really enjoy each others company. If you are looking for your own VRBO dwelling without any other people around at all - spend the triple amount of money and consider not renting this property. If you enjoy a little time during the day with fantastic people but want your own privacy at night or whenever wanted, this is your place!
