About this house rental
PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BOOKING! Beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath waterfront home. If you are coming to Lake Norman to enjoy the outdoors, this is the home for you! The home has a large deck looking over the lake, a covered patio with a table with seating for 4, a gas grill and ceiling fan. A fire pit for cool nights, roasting hot dogs and making smores! The lake shore features a sandy beach with a gazebo, seawall with steps leading into the water. Near the shore, the water is shallow enough for children to play! We also have a large covered boat dock. Explore the lake in the paddle boat or canoe! Life vests in various sizes are down on the dock for your safety. Inside, the large master bedroom has a king size bed and large closet, with sliding doors leading out onto the deck. Upstairs, you will find a loft style bedroom. (There is no door, it is open to the stairs.) It has a twin bed with a twin trundle bed underneath. You walk through that bedroom to bedroom #3. It has a queen bed and sliding glass door leading onto a deck. From bedrooms 2 & 3, up another set of stairs is our game room. It is perfect for rainy days or just for fun. We have a pool table, lots of board games, a 49" TV, and an elliptical machine for you to enjoy during your stay. There are (2) XL Twin/Over Queen bunkbeds in the game room, making a perfect sleeping are for kids and teens! The game room also has a bathroom with a shower, giving us 3 full bathrooms. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, small appliances (a coffee maker and a Keurig are provided) and a counter-height table with seating for 7. There are two folding tables and 8 folding chairs for extra seating located in the master closet. The spacious living room has a gas fireplace. A 65" smart TV equipped with NETFLIX, DISNEY+, and more. (The game room tv has these channels, as well.) Wi-Fi is also included.
Washer and Dryer are available. Sheets and towels are available for you to use if you’d like, we only ask that you wash them before you leave. Pillows and blankets are also provided.

Please note that our home is in no way "childproof". Please keep this in mind when booking with small children. It is also not handicap accessible. There are a LOT of stairs throughout the house. The Master Bedroom is on the main level, but the other bedrooms and game room are upstairs. During the summer months, OUR CHANGEOVER DAY IS SATURDAY. During the off-season, you may arrive/depart on any day of the week. Check-in no earlier than 3pm, Check-out @ 10am sharp.
In the off season, we have a two night minimum. In the summer months, 7 night stay is required, however, we will consider shorter, last minute rentals (3 day min.).

The home was nicely maintained and the space was perfect for us and a couple teens to have their own space but still enjoy time together.
Everything we needed was at the home except a couple floats that we picked up for ourselves to enjoy the lake. The kayaks, paddle boat and canoe were all great.

We love Lake Norman! The location of the home was conveniently located to picking up supplies. The dock space was perfect for docking our boat and swimming. We enjoyed the outside seating and dining area, the game room was a big hit and the spacious living room. The owners are just a text away if you need something. I would stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay! We were there with our adult children so the kayaks, paddle boat, and pool table were hits. While there are neighbors, not many are out during the week so we felt like we had the water to ourselves most of the time. The house was located close to restaurants, grocery stores, and convenient stores so that was a plus.

The property was outstanding. The location was perfect on a very quiet cove. We used the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat nearly everyday. We fished and swam off the dock. Plenty of room for our rental boat. The outside grill area was very nice and the extra table and chairs came in handy for us to enjoy meals outside together. The fire pit was also much enjoyed. The kids loved the bunk room and had a pool tournament nearly every night (nice for the adults). The kitchen is very well stocked. We had zero issues during our stay. Made many memories! A beautiful and relaxing place to vacation. We enjoyed having the kayaks and canoe to explore the lake. It was also fun to just sit and watch the herons and osprey. Something for everyone. Deanna was great to work with and responded quickly when we had a question. Would highly recommend!!

Its all about the location for us. The house is right on the lake with a covered outside patio and gazebo, right on the lake. Sadly, it rained the whole time we were at the house and we were not able to enjoy it. The backyard/lake area is beautiful and i loved the geese and the strange little squirrel like varmit that hung around!
The house is great, as advertised, but a bit "dated". In my opinion, though it doesnt affect my rating or love for the house, it needs newer bedding and needs to be better organized. I had to look for a blanket for the king bed but found one upstairs. Master bedroom is great, with a view of the lake and patio right outside the slider. I didnt particularly like putting the sheets on the bed myself, but I am sure there is a reason for that.
The house is a close drive to restaurant's in the area. Its a great neighborhood, very quiet and super safe!
Communication with our host, Deanna, was great. Deanna was very accomodating, friendly and available. Overall, this is a great house for the price.

My husband and kiddos really enjoyed the canoe, kayaks and fishing! I enjoyed the peaceful lake and beautiful scenery! One our sons caught a pretty big Gar fish on our last night. We got lots of photos before he released it!

Great way to spend a week. The house is on a quiet dead end road but still close to shopping, groceries, and restaurants. Deanna is very accommodating and is near by if needed. We enjoyed the water and really like that this cove is no wake. No speeding boats or jet skies zooming by. We swam and took our boat out everyday. Caught plenty of spotted bass too

We enjoyed the house and property but a few things diminshed my rating. Specifically the cleaniless and upkeep of the property.
There was some mysterious goop on the nightstand in the master bedroom, dirty utensils in the kitchen, kitchen drawer front to left of stove came off when we tried to pull it open, showers were not clean, and the grill had so much built up grease that it caught fire and burned our dinner to a crisp.

The kids enjoyed the upstairs room with the pool table and games and they could watch their shows; allowing us to relax downstairs.
It was great to have the kayaks available as well.

Highly recommend this property for a lakefront vacation on Lake Norman! The house is well kept and clean. The backyard is absolutely beautiful. The beach area was perfect for my kids and used often. We were able to dock our pontoon easily (be sure to check the bridge height in the description as it is low clearance to get to the main lake). The cove is quiet and family friendly.
There was plenty of space and things to do indoors such as a pool table and games for when those NC afternoon summer storms hit. The hosts left the ingredients for smores as a sweet welcome for us which my kids loved.

Beautiful home, clean, great communication with owner. I didn't like having to wash and dry all the sheets and towels and be out by 10:00 am. And still paid a cleaning fee. With getting packed up, cleaning up after breakfast, it was a little stressful. Other places asked us to pile them up by the laundry room. Also you have to pay a required insurance fee, I could understand that if it was summer and you were actually using the canoes or paddle boats. All in all a great place and I would definitely there again.

We had a fun time at the house. It is a great location, right at the lake, which allowed us to kayak and canoe while enjoying the fall colors. We did a fire pit at night, and made use of the grill for some tasty meals.

Peaceful Cove
Our family had a nice stay. Everything was cleanly and in order. We have 2 kids and they enjoyed the sandy beach with access to the water to play in as well as riding in the kayaks. There is a fireplace and tons of swings to enjoy the outdoors. The upstairs room had a pool table and games available. The owners had a lot of extras available that you sometimes forget to pack such as trash bags and dinnerware. They left us smores to make one night on the fire which was nice along with letting us dock our 2 boats there. The only real downside to the place I saw was when you are washing something in the washing machine you would loose water pressure in the rest of the house. Which was really no big deal. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back again.

Wonderful location for a vacation!
Super peaceful spot on the lake — feels like a slice of paradise but is also super close to numerous stores and restaurants. Great for swimming right off the pier, kayaking, boating, and fishing. House was set up nicely for a large group — kitchen furnished with all the essentials, bedrooms with plenty of linens and pillows. Owner was professional and super responsive. Highly recomend!
