Large open floor plan best describes this beautiful waterfront home located on Pea Hill Creek. 5 bedrooms / 3 ½ baths. Sleeps 10 (beds for 10, futon, crib and bed mat available for kids). This 2 story home is non-smoking. We call our home – Camp Quinn!
Bedrooms include - 1st floor Master King, 2 Queen. 2nd floor King and King with futon (folds out to double) and crib. Each bed features a different type of mattress to accommodate sleeping preferences. Large master (located on the main floor) has a king bed with pillow top mattress. 2nd bedroom on main floor offers a queen bed also with a pillow top mattress. 3rd bedroom on main floor is a queen bed with an orthopedic mattress. Upstairs offers what we call a 2nd master featuring a king bed with memory foam mattress. This large 2nd master room includes a crib and futon. The 5th bedroom is a king with an orthopedic luxury firm mattress. This room overlooks the beautiful lake with some of the best views in the house!
Large master bath has a walk in shower and whirlpool bath. 2nd full bath is located between the two queen rooms downstairs. 3rd full bath is upstairs. Half-bath is located on the main floor just off the laundry room. Toilet paper is included so guests will not have to worry about this!
Linens and towels are included. Beds will be made when you arrive!
Recently remodeled large well-stocked cooks kitchen features double ovens and plenty of counter space. Dining area seats 6-8 with additional table leaves to fit 10-12 for family gatherings. There are 2 highchairs. There is a farmhouse style table on the screen porch that seats 8 (our favorite place to eat!) As we love to cook, this kitchen is very well stocked. We include a large selection of spices, salt & pepper, paper towels, and some food storage items (foil, plastic wrap, etc.). Guests just need to purchase coffee, food and drinks. For added convenience, there is a 2nd full size refrigerator located in the garage just outside the back door.
The screened in porch is the best part of this property with excellent water view. The extra-large porch features a farmhouse table that seats 8, sofa, love seat, and several comfortable chairs for relaxing with family and friends while enjoying the lake.
Gentle slopping lot to water’s edge and boathouse with boat and jet ski lifts. Guests are able to use the boat lift, and we have added a dock extension to accommodate pontoon boats. Enjoy food and drinks on the dock bar with seating for 4. Additional seating on the dock - wrought iron table (with umbrella) and 4 chairs, 2 wrought iron lounge chairs and 2 Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake
Located on quiet protected cove just a short boat’s ride from the main lake. Lake depth at the end of our dock is 4' with a ladder into the lake for swimming. We provide a selection of pool noodles to enjoy cooling off in the lake. As you move away from the dock, the water depth gets progressively deeper. A patio with fire pit is available for evening enjoyment and we keep a stock of firewood available for use. Deck includes a double gas grill with 2 grilling surfaces, 6-seat dining table with center fire pit table, outdoor counter seating with 4 stools.
We encourage families to “disconnect” from the normal electronic life while on vacation to Camp Quinn (although we do offer WiFi, Smart TV’s, and Cable), and connect with the simple face-to-face family time. We offer a variety of inside and outside family games. Outside games include giant Jenga, corn hole boards and other fun activities for the entire family.
We have converted the garage into a rec room. It has a ping pong table, large Smart TV, games for more family recreation.
We offer 2 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak and a canoe for guest use. There is also 2 adult bikes (Schwin Cruiser) guest can use to bike around the paved, flat neighborhood roads.
Home is conveniently located on Pea Hill Creek (desirable cove off main lake). Closest public boat ramp is Pea Hill Boat Ramp (4.2 miles). Lake Gaston Golf Club (public) is 1.3 miles away. Also located nearby are Food Lion grocery store, Ace Hardware, and indoor/outdoor Flea Market featuring mini golf, Mad Freeze and a sea food market. Thursday night is BINGO night at the local fire hall. Restaurants are scattered around the area with some offering lake-front dining for all ages! Rosemont Winery is approx. 25 min from the house and offers wine tasting, tours, and picnicking. The closest large town is Roanoke Rapids (25-30 min from the house) offering shopping, movie theater and more restaurants.

This was our group's fourth time staying at this property and it's been a perfect time at the lake everytime. The location on the lake is beautiful and the house has everything you need for a great vacation. Our group of multiple families enjoyed coming back and seeing the upgrades done to the house each year. We highly recommend staying here and we definitely see ourselves returning in the future.

We had a wonderful week! Nothing but good things to say about location, house and owners. House was equipped with things you don’t even know you need! New bar area on dock was fantastic! House was so clean. The screened porch was so comfortable and large. We loved floating in the cove on the thick pool noodles. We also had a pontoon boat that was easy to dock. Would definitely rent this house again!

Wonderful property right on lake Gaston. Clean with a well-equipped kitchen. Dock is great if you rent a boat for the week. This was our second time staying here and it won't be our last. The new dock bar and front porch are great.

We spent a few days here during our spring break. There was great communication from the host, Carmen, to ensure we received check in information and that we'd settled in. The home was very clean and there was plenty of space for the four generations of family that visited. We loved the screened in porch in the evenings, and my husband was thrilled with all the fish he caught from the dock. There were many wonderful memories created during our visit.

Each year, our family stays in a central location for the holidays so that we can all be together. This is a great place to spend a holiday, or a regular vacation! We had 8 adults, and 2 infants, and we had plenty of room left over. The decorations for the holidays were beautiful and greatly appreciated.
You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into their property for their guests. The home is set up well (we enjoyed using the kitchen) and communication is wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet and the home has a beautiful view.

Everything about this experience was just a amazing as the first time - from check in to the well-stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds to the relaxing living space - it is like coming home. Very clean house with comfortable beds, lots of kitchen cooking supplies available. House was exactly as pictured on website. From drinking coffee in the rockers on the dock every morning, to kayaking and swimming in the afternoon and then playing board games at night on the back porch, so much to do there. Camp Quinn is an outstanding place to vacation on the lake. It’s located on the Pea Hill Creek area of Lake Gaston. It has everything you will need to have a great vacation. Our visit was during Christmas; the place was decorated as if we had done it ourselves. There was parking for several vehicles. There was a fire pit outside, which we used extensively. The seating around the fire pit met our needs as we roasted marshmallows and made smores. We had a couple of really cold nights (High winds on Thur, 13 degrees on Friday, and 16 degrees on Sat), but the house was quite warm. There is a boat dock and the landing was excellent even though we hardly used it. There is a deck and screened in porch. They both are decorated and furnished very well. There is a barber’s chair on the porch which gives you a great view of the lake. There was a lit star on the dock controlled by a timer. The Christmas tree in the family room is on a timer too. There is a beautiful fireplace in the family room. The entertainment system is great. Unfortunately we had outages with Spectrum TV (which we were warned about). The TV went off just as we began watching football games on Sat and didn’t come back on until Monday evening. The wifi is great as long as Spectrum is working. We were told that Spectrum is spotty in the area but the timing couldn’t have been worse. The rooms were very comfortable, I loved the three bedrooms on the first floor. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking items. There were games galore, both inside and out. There were lots of books to keep you entertained as well as a collection of VHS/DVDs. The garage had a ping pong, foosball and game table for activities. There was another refrigerator in the garage for a few cold ones. There is lots of equipment for boating, swimming, kayaking, and fishing. It’s really a great place for family activities or just relaxing. Hopefully our future plans will allow us to visit again.

This is one of the best experiences we've had with a rental. It is clean, comfortable, spacious, in a great location, and has lots of wonderful amenities. The kitchen is amazing, I really enjoyed cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family. The screened porch was one of our favorite places to hang out. We also loved the fire pit, and they actually provide wood for the pit. We appreciated that bonus. You can tell that Carmen and David take really good care of their home. My family and I are grateful for their generosity and our time away at the lake. We're already trying to find a time to visit again :)

Our family gathers each fall. We found this home to be outstanding and a perfect fit for us. In spite of a hurricane, we had loads of fun, cooked in the gourmet kitchen, and rested on very comfortable beds. It was the best stocked vrbo we have used.. The screened porch and deck were awesome. We had such a nice vacation thanks to David and Carmen and their fantastic lake house and property. My family has been renting vacation homes all over our great state since 1982 and I can honestly say their house is probably the best stocked one we've ever stayed in! We stayed for a week at this property and it was fabulous. The location was amazing. The view out onto the lake was wonderful. Perhaps the nicest thing was the screened in porch, where we could comfortably drink coffee in the morning and relax at night while not getting bit by bus. The house was wonderfully sized, perfect for our two families (8 people total) to stay and be comfortable. The towels and linens were fresh and soft. The kayaks provided were a lot of fun too. The fire pit in the back was well manicured and had plenty of seating everywhere. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.
