About this house rental

The Lake House is an original Lake Placid Club cottage, fully renovated in 2013 featuring 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are 2 master bedrooms each with a king bed and private bathroom overlooking Mirror Lake. The 2 other bedrooms have 2 double beds each and share a bath. The kitchen is finished with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and wood floors. The great room features a cathedral ceiling with a floor to ceiling fireplace (electric) and commanding views overlooking Mirror Lake. The Lake House is equipped with free high speed wireless internet, washer and dryer and an outdoor patio overlooking Mirror Lake featuring patio furniture and a grill. A/C in bedrooms only.
The Historic Lake Placid Club boasts 45 holes of Championship Golf, extensive mountain biking and cross-country skiing trail systems.
This property is operated by the Crowne Plaza Hotel and guests may enjoy our indoor pool, hot tub, fitness facilities, and seasonal private beach across the street on Mirror Lake.
We do allow dogs. Maximum 2 dogs. Pet fee of $150.00 plus tax.
We do not allow parties or events. Noise audible outside the Property (including music or loud conversation) is prohibited between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
While we provide an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and trash bags to get you through the first 24 hours, we recommend you bring the following: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, coffee and coffee filters, and anything else you may need for the perfect vacation.
CHECK IN IS 4:00PM and CHECK OUT IS 10:00AM. We will contact you on the day of arrival with the door code as soon as the rental is ready.

We have stayed in other homes and the lodge before, decided to bring our fur babies with us on this trip. This house was perfect for us - 5 adults, 1 kiddo and 2 furries. Tucked back off the main road, there is a decent sized yard for the doggies. Lake was frozen so a quick 5 min walk across the ice to main street. Plenty of parking. House sets up great for multiple/blended family & guests. 2 masters with their own bath and then 2 bdrms with a shared bath. Plenty of room for ski gear, washer dryer, towels - clean. Just all around a great place. 1 star knocked off of check in only because there was a disconnect btw VRBO and the Crown Plaza (who owns the house) - BUT - it was resolved quickly so no worries. 10/10 recommend

The house is the perfect location to town and whiteface mountain if you are there for skiing. The have definitely listened to past reviews as many items were in the house. There is only one TV, but what worked out fine. House was clean, layout was great. Wonderful stay

This home was everything we expected and more! Beautiful view of Mirror Lake across the street. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Spacious and clean. Access to Crown Plaza indoor pool and fitness.

Beautiful location, views and layout of the house. Property manager was very responsive. By far the cleanest and most cared for home we have rented. We will most certainly book again :)

We enjoyed our first visit last December so much, that we booked again for Thanksgiving. The house is very well suited for multi-generational families. There are two master suites and the grand children had their own bedrooms. The location is perfect for all Lake Placid activities. We hope to return again soon!

We were already excited about our stay but arrived late. When we woke and saw the home and it’s location on mirror lake our family’s expectations were exceeded. It was spacious and clean. The central area was great for games and gathering. Cooking and food prep was easier. The garbage and recycling was easy to manage. They even had dog bags for east pick up. The only down side was the fireplace was not usable and had a fake light instead. Otherwise great for family gatherings or a quiet getaway. Easy access to local exploration or traveling in the area.

This property is in a great location over looking Mirror Lake. It sits on a large private lot. The amenities and 4 large bedrooms make it a wonderful place for a family and/ or friends stay. Highly recommended.

Our second year at this beautiful property and it was wonderful! The house is perfect, so spacious and clean. All the comforts of home, nearby to all the and the view is spectacular. Property management and maintenance are fantastic. We couldn't ask for more! Cannot wait to plan our next getaway at the Lake House.

The property completely met our needs. It was spacious for our three generation family. Location couldn’t be better, close to village and if ice is frozen, you can walk across the lake to the center of town.

Few things didn't work; front burner on range, bathroom shower door. Fireplace should be propane. Be nice to have scissors and a few large bowls. Two large suites could use a desk to work at (worth 5 stars).

This is our 4th year for a multigenerational family weekend. Great addition of a fire pit on the front patio made watching sunsets over Mirror Lake a joy. We love using the pool at the Crowne on rainy days, it’s one of the best perks of renting thru the LPC. Sadly, this will be our last year at the Lake House, as our family has outgrown the sleeping max without the pullout sofas.

Lakeside location is amazing. Just across the street from Mirror lake to jump in for a swim, lauch a kayak, or fish from. View of the lake is beautiful from the common room with a perfect angle of lake and sunset. Check-in and check-out was seamless and easy, large bedrooms and baths, and comfortable common space.

Amazing vacation!! The house was absolutely perfect. It was my husband, myself, his parents and our dog. This property was so roomy and comfortable. The view of the lake was breathtaking. This is our third year having a multigenerational family gathering at the Lake House. Each year is better than the last. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the Crowne and lots of family game nights on the huge dining table. We love sitting in the front yard, watching the sunset and walking Mirror Lake. The beds are comfy, the kitchen stocked with everything you might need, and everything was super clean. Thanks again for a great stay—we will be back again!

We loved this house! The view is amazing! The house was clean and well cared for. It provided great privacy between the rooms. We were a little nervous on check in as we came from out of the country and didn't hear from any one until 2pm the day of check in. We would like to see the kitchen have more equipment... baking sheets, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Traveled with family and children of multiple ages. The house was spacious, clean and the views of the lake are stunning. We loved the giant mud room and the dining room table was perfect for family dinner. Wonderful stay.

This property met all our needs. It is a short walk to town, plenty of restaurants close by and activities for everyone. The house was comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen. We had a maintenance issue when we arrived, but called the number and someone called us back and set up a time that met our needs. Very helpful and pleasant. Would absolutely stay here again!
