About this bed and breakfast

Perfect spot for beach lovers who enjoy beach views, travelling with pets and enjoying fabulous coastal cuisine and entertainment. Central location just off beach to all the coast has to offer. Premier accommodations and location for special events on the Coast and weekend getaways.

One street away from the beach and walking distance to Centennial Plaza and the Downtown Gulfport entertainment district. Perfect for beach loving guests who like to unplug, eat out and travel with their dogs. Fresh and cozy alternative to hotel stays.

Our guest cottage offers a large king-bed master bedroom with en-suite vanity and beach views. The guest room offers two queen-size beds. Pack n play crib. Kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, microwave, and Kuerig coffee maker. Streaming TV and internet access included. Please be advised even with new fiber internet and WiFi extenders access can be slow and is not recommended for zoom meetings. Covered, on-property parking for one vehicle. Beach chairs located underneath the cottage along with a beach buggy to haul everything to the beach.

Pets (dogs only and certain breeds) are allowed with approval - an additional $150 non refundable pet fee is required. Max booking of 2 dogs. Pets are not allowed to roam property off leash.

Posted rates are for four guests - additional guests at $25 per guest per night.
All guests must be registered and included in the approved reservation. The cottage was built for friends and family and is best suited for families or adults with small children. Owners reside in the main house property and the guest cottage is separated from the main house by a balcony gate on the west end of the main house deck.

Please note there is no oven/range and no washer/dryer. Laundromat services available within 1 mile of cottage.

There is one closet in the guest cottage with ability to hang clothing and a rolling hanging rack for clothes and suitcases.

Primary renter must be at least 30 years of age.

We provide a roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper to guests. Additional paper products are the responsibility of guest to purchase if needed.

We haven’t visited the area since the early 2000’s. We’ve been looking forward to this trip that ends in Florida for a while. Our rental did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful guest house that’s connected to the main house by a walkway. Despite being so close, we had no issues with privacy. It was well appointed and tastefully decorated. We had no issues during our stay. We would definitely recommend this guest house. It’s walking distance to the beach, it has a great kitchenette, great restaurants and shopping are all very close.

I recommend it to anyone: it is a clean place and a great host. We were there for Cruising the Coast, so we did not stay in the cottage. The host warned us the wifi was not great, but you should get out and enjoy Gulfport anyway. The wifi was working, and it did not affect our stay. Thank you for an amazing week. Wonderful place and we would love to stay there again.

This property was stunning. The pool and yard are in excellent condition as was the house itself. It felt like a luxury getaway tucked in a laid back oasis. You can see the beach from the deck and it was an easy walk. The beds were comfy and their were plenty of towels and separate beach towels. Kitchenette had everything we needed and the owner responded quickly to everything we ask and came out to say hello. The owner and his wife were just the nicest people. Didn’t get in our space but were fun to chat with while we were hanging out by the pool. Highly recommend staying here!

This cute little guest house is conveniently located near the beach and downtown. It is the perfect spot for a small family or couple spending time in Gulfport. The hosts are welcoming and communicative.

Pros: Cottage is beautifully appointed and clean with most amenities one could need. The location is lovely, a block from the beach and a quick drive into town. Cons: Host was verbally abusive and displayed erratic and unpredictable behavior. Host demanded that we pack our bags and leave. We did not feel safe in the cottage so we made other accommodations for the remainder of our trip. This rental is not safe. Timeline: Thursday/Friday daytime we didn’t see hosts. Friday night we returned to the cottage and proceeded to sit on the pool edge and dip our toes in the water as the pool/deck lights were on. Minutes later, one of the hosts appeared on the balcony overlooking the pool. The host inflated a pool float and dropped it off the balcony and walked down the stairs. The host got in the water and walked across the pool and introduced themselves. We introduced ourselves and we all shook hands. The host then told us we were violating pool hours and we needed to leave. The host’s tone shifted from polite to aggressive. The host began to throw verbal assaults at us as we quickly exited the pool area. The host screamed at us and said we needed to pack our bags and leave. We packed our things in disarray. The host stayed in the pool and was staring up at us in the cottage. As we exited the property (together in one trip as we felt extremely uncomfortable), the host began to yell and scream at us again. We opened the gate, backed out our minivan, and left, shaking.

Swimming pool had a non operating pump the gate was manual the single gate didn’t work the couch was worn out and the only seating option the stairs were slick should have had a slip resistant surface it was so bad we left on Saturday just couldn’t stay there until my checkout on Monday I requested a partial refund and was ignored by property owner and I requested help from VRBO and was told they have no say in the matter Nightmare from start to finish

Well kept property, we really enjoyed ourselves. Only thing is the pictures are outdated on the exterior which does not show a house between the rental home and the beach but it is there. Nice home. That would not change me going back and staying there in future.

The YaYa House was everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful, clean and a great location right across the street from the beach. The hosts were friendly and very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay there again. In a heartbeat!! Highly recommend!

We loved our time in Gulfport! The property was exactly as advertised. It was super clean, the owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. After a small issue with the pool heat, they were quick to fix the problem. The ocean (with powder white sand) is just a few steps away. I would recommend this property!

This property is beautiful in every way. Our stay could not have been more pleasant or more restful. The owners, The Walsh family, have gone out of their way to create a beautiful space for their guests. Waking up and looking at the ocean is always good for the soul, but especially when a look around the room is just as beautiful.
