Feast your eyes on a living seascape from every room, surrounded by a charming cottage décor. Awake breathless at the vision of the sun rising from the sea enshrouded in crimson clouds, while preparing for your first sip of a perfectly chilled mimosa on the veranda. Spend your day frolicking on one of the nation's cleanest beaches or simply allow yourself to be caressed by its soft sands. If you prefer a fun day of water sports on the bayside, there are jet-skis, paddle boards, and kayaks available for rent at various locations, including the Rusty Rudder.
For the more energetic, ride the picturesque 15-mile bike circuit along the pristine trails traversing the wetlands of Gordon's Pond and the vistas of Point Lookout at Henlopen State Park, where you can also visit the WW II seashore battery museum at Fort Miles. Continue to the quaint historic town of Lewes for a lunch break, perhaps enjoying one of Restaurant Agave's amazing margaritas. Afterwards, follow the Junction & Breakwater trail through marshes, corn fields, and a woodland canopy, returning to Rehoboth. Stop at the small bakery behind the Crystal Restaurant and reward yourself with one of their delicious chocolate croissants.
Later, back at your villa relax with a glass of wine from your favorite vintner's estate while savoring the sunset's afterglow playing on the clouds above the sea or take a short walk to the bay to see its full splendor from the decks of the Lighthouse Bar & Grill at the Hyatt. Following a great dinner at one of the fun restaurants close by (the crab cakes at Woody's are awesome) or in nearby Rehoboth, gravitate to the Dewey Beach live music nightlife or the amusements and shops along the Rehoboth boardwalk. Then return to your retreat by the sea to greet the rising moon whose sparkling reflection reaches towards you across a placid sea. Finally, fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves and float gently away as they permeate your dreams.

We completed a $2.5 Million renovation of the building in May 2019, including new stairs, walkways, verandas, and doors.
BOOKING SCHEDULE: From June through September, our bookings run from Saturday (arrival) to Saturday (departure), with a seven-night minimum. All other dates, the minimum stay is four nights. We do not rent December thru March. We will post any exceptions here should they occur. It's always a good idea to check the availability calendar before entering your requested dates. Please use the inquiry button if you have any questions about specific dates.
HOUSE RULES:
Maximum of four guests. Guests must provide and use their own bed linens, pillowcases, and towels. Coverlets, comforters, blankets, and pillows provided.
PET FEES. Dog-friendly year-round (two dog max). Pet fee: $20 per night total. Be sure to check the pet box when making your VRBO reservation in order for the fee to be included in your VRBO total. Please let us know if you will be bringing your pups so that we can authorize that in the rental agreement we will forward to you. No dogs allowed unless specified in the agreement. From May 15 to September 15, town rules: dogs allowed on beach before 9:30 A.M. and after 5:30 P.M. All other dates dogs are allowed on the beach anytime. Please check the Town of Dewey Beach website for information regarding dog licenses and other rules.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Salty Kiss Seaside is a one-unit enterprise. Therefore, the loss of income produced by a cancellation cannot be spread out as is the case in a 50-room hotel. Accordingly, the following charges will be assessed based on the number of days before scheduled arrival a written cancellation is received: 60 days or more, no penalty; 30 to 59 days, forfeiture of 50% of all funds paid; less than 30 days, 100% forfeiture of all funds paid. If the property is re-rented for any portion of the dates covered by the lease, the cancellation charge shall be reduced by the amount of the new rental fee received by the Owner. No refunds will be given for a) inclement weather, including hurricanes or storms or the forced evacuation of the property caused thereby; b) beach replenishment; c) noise or disturbances caused by surrounding properties, their inhabitants, or construction; or d) any other reason beyond the Owner's control.
NOTE: The VRBO/Google map incorrectly places Sunspot Condominium on the north side of McKinley Street, rather than on the south side where it is actually located.

What a beautiful place! This corner unit has views of the ocean from the bedrooms and the living room. Comfy beds, nice porch with rocking chairs. Owner gave good recommendations on restaurants and the unit was well stocked with the basics. Best place I've stayed in Dewey in a while. :-) Will definitely be back.

This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful place. Below I pasted my review from last year which is spot-on. I can't say enough about the beach-front location and view. The look, style and quality of the condo is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is as described. Great location on the beach. Great views. Condo has a consistent, classy theme throughout. Beds and couch very comfortable. Easy parking. Well-equipped kitchen. Very nice veranda. Within a short walk of bars and restaurants. Good water pressure. Hot water available in a snap. Communication with the owner was very good.

This is a beautiful end-unit condo with gorgeous beach and sunrise views. The pictures on VRBO don’t do it justice. Fantastic location, just steps to the beach. The unit itself is comfortable, and John provided many thoughtful recommendations in the area. I do agree with other reviewers that there are a few too many pieces of furniture, especially in the hallway, but we got used to that. We were able to fit a pack and play (which we brought) in the bedroom closest to the front door. The balcony is safe for very young children. If this place had laundry access, it would be perfect. Just bring lots of clothes. We would love to stay again!

We LOVED being oceanfront and having our dog with us - that's what makes this condo. Sunrises on the front deck or a quick walk out to the beach are AMAZING!! The beds are comfortable and the unit is well supplied with all of your basics. John is a great host and very communicative about everything prior to your stay and available during the stay if needed. The only downside is the decor is rather dated and the rattan furniture is not that comfortable in the small main living area. But, it's ocean front and we could bring our dog!! Also, walking distance to some great restaurants is a major perk. Love that we could park our car (shaded spot) for most of the week. Overall, it's a great spot and I would stay here again.

Salty Kiss is a perfect get away for 2-4 people. The unit is clean, well maintained, equipped with everything you need, and the location cannot be beat. It’s impossible to get closer to the beach unless you are standing on the sand. The view at sunrise and sunset is spectacular. It is also conveniently located to restaurants and other shops. We can’t wait to return!

My family (self, wife, daughter) had a wonderful time at Salty Kiss. The property was very clean when we arrived, and the check-in process was easy. John was very helpful in answering our questions prior to our arrival, and he sent us helpful information about the property and the surrounding area. We were within walking distance of several good restaurants, coffee shops, and small convenience stores.
We were steps from the beach and had a beautiful ocean view. Keep in mind that it is one unit in a small building, so a little noise from neighbors is to be expected, but overall, the neighbors are very considerate and did not create a disturbance.
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and many of the things we thought we'd have to supply ourselves. We would have no hesitation about staying at Salty Kiss in the future.

This is the perfect getaway place for a small group. All communications about the property were thorough and quick. Not recommended if anyone has mobility issues as there is no elevator. The cover on the walk to the beach is like what is typically found on Dewey beach access locations. We find Dewey a great ocean spot for our more laid back taste.

We (2 adults & 3 kids) loved the place! It can’t get any closer to the beach and all Dewey stores and restaurants are easy walks between 5-10 minutes easily. Our favorites are Woody’s, Nalu, and Dewey Beer. The owner is very helpful and responsive too!
The place comes with everything you need as far as kitchen use and the beds are comfortable.
The ONLY suggestions we had are to take out about a third of the common area furniture. It doesn’t leave a lot of space to move around and the tables in the hallways make it tight squeezes if two people are walking through. The other thing to update would be the pullout’s mattress or maybe couch because it’s a bumpy sleep.
But overall we would absolutely stay here again and recommend anyone else does too.
**random parent tip—if you’re bringing a baby who needs a dark room the curtains are all white so you may want to bring some black trash bags or dark sheets to black out windows for sleeping babies**

Great experience having a quiet Thanksgiving away from the city! With just a few additions from my personal kitchen, we were able to cook a complete Thanksgiving dinner here! View is gorgeous and the place was sparkling clean. Great location in Dewey and access to Rehobeth. There is a lot of furniture in the place, so while comfortable for myself, husband, and dog, it would be close quarters for additional adults. Information and directions provided were so detailed and helpful - would absolutely stay again.

The balcony had the best view!!! We’ve stayed in the same building, but different unit and the balcony makes the condo. We had a great week overall. The only downside to this unit is being below another unit and our upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy, but there’s nothing you can do about it…. Just enjoy the view!
