The Bearadise cabin was great. It was just what we wanted with lots of wood for that real cabin feel. It was very clean and had enough seating inside and outside for all 6 of us. The kids loved the playground down the road. The beds were great. It was nice to have the paved driveway. The cabin had everything we needed.

Cannot properly put into words the views and how enjoyable a early morning cup of coffee is as the clouds lift off the mountains.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bearadise in Smoky Mountain Retreat. The house was in absolutely tip=top shape upon arrival. The bedrooms were spacious and the dining room and kitchen let us have family dinners. The views were terrific! What a relaxing, pleasant place to gather friends and relax! We enjoyed dining at Boojum's and Beach Mountain in Waynesville. We also took a midnight hike up Black Balsam to get a 360-degree view of the stars. Unforgettable!

This is a pleasant place to rent. The bedrooms are good sized. I liked that 2 of them had King Size beds that were comfortable. Lots of areas to spread out in. We didn’t care for the automatic room fresheners that made us cough throughout the house. And, the upstairs bathroom (with only a shower in it) had the smell of mildew in it even though we couldn’t see any evidence of mold or mildew. It was decorated in an antique fashion which was fine for a mountain cabin, but could use a little more current theme. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils and cooking equipment you could use. The kitchen stove was gas and was very nice to use. Nice porch, but wished there was a table for eating outside under cover since during our stay it rained most of the days. It’s a very pretty spot. And we had a nice time there. It is located close to Lake Junaluska which is a fabulous lake to do a 2-1/2 mile walk around…very scenic.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a beautiful, clean home, in a wonderful location, with a wonderful view. However, the beds were very uncomfortable. The mattress on the pullout couch in the loft was extremely old and thin, and it was falling down below the frame. The biggest problem we had was the Wi-Fi service, which was intermittently working, and when it was, it was very slow. There is only one TV in the house, which is in the living room, which is open to the loft. Streaming videos on a computer / iPad is definitely not possible due to the slow internet. Otherwise, it is very easy to access the house - a wide, paved road all the way up. Having the playground in the community was nice, but it needs to be sprayed for wasps, as there were nests under the slides, and someone got stung while we were there. There are puzzles, games, and books for kids available to use at the house, which was nice. There is also enough supplies to use during your stay (paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, etc.) which many other rentals do not supply, and you don't have to haul your trash to the dump. We had a minor issue checking in - our packet was not in the night time check in box, but after a phone call, someone came right down within 15 mins to get it for us. Overall, it is a nice house, but I would not be back to this one due to the beds and the internet problems.
