We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Retreat. The home was lovely with plenty of room for a large family. They have everything you need to cook with and plenty of beds and space to spread out. Lots of games to play on rainy days is a plus and if you are a book lover this is your place. It is beautifully decorated for the beach. The only negative was the beach access is misleading. You do have a little trail to the ocean but then you have to walk about 150+ yards in the sand to get to the beach itself. With a 7 month pregnant mama, a son with a prosthetic and a 18 month old plus the other smaller kids carrying everything to and from the beach was a chore itself. That was a big decision that led us to getting this house was we were close to the beach with direct access. But we managed and the house itself was wonderful.

Jekyll Island Properties are absolutely the best! They pay special attention to details, and the staff are great. With that said, the actual property is in serious need of repairs and upgrades. We've stayed in this house 4 times, and the last 3 years in a row. Water leaks from all faucets, toilets need upgrades, siding is coming off house, garage door won't shut, and the floor in the kitchen is caving in from rot. Management at Jekyll Island is quick to help, but the owner needs to REPAIR many parts of the house. All of this, and cost has gone up 35% over three years. Too bad...great location and could be a great house.

This stay was part of a celebration of two sisters milestone birthdays with two other sisters and one husband. The house was just what we wanted: comfortable and thoughtfully decorated and furntished. Our most favoite experience waswelcoming the sun each morning from the deck.

This home provided plenty of room for our extended family. It had a lovely upstairs area with a beautiful view. Plenty of windows and sunlight. It had a nice location although not on the beach. We could see the water from the top deck. The decor was a little dated, but we didn't mind. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the beach theme. The property is large if you have a number of adults and children. There are multiple sitting areas and dining areas. It sits near a good location on the island close to Driftwood Beach and the Conference Plaza. It was a quiet neighborhood and relaxing. We would recommend the property. The owner and rental company were easy to contact and deal with. We felt like the rental was fairly priced. We enjoyed our stay.

Jekyll Island/Ocean Retreat Cottage were amazing! A first visit and for sure to return! Cottage was spacious and beautifully decorated! Love the beach theme and decor! Outside Deck and viewing Windows could have been cleaned and arranged better! Great location and within steps to the beach! Within minutes to the Market, Putt Putt, Restaurants, Georgia Turtle Center and Trolley Ride! Bike Riding a must do! Bring your own snacks, drinks, etc. because those items can be pricey on the Island! Take heed of timing for low and high tide though! Thanks for the memories⚓️🤙🏽

Very beautiful and spacious home. The location was great...just a few steps to the beach. Comfortable beds and lovely decor. This was our first time in Jekyll and we will be back. The only thing that I feel should be addressed is the fact that we had to walk through some bushes to get to the walkway for the beach. Maybe those can be cut down or trimmed for easier access. Other than that, wonderful place!

This was a great vacation home for the entire family. With 4 generations present on this vacation, this home had plenty of room. We loved the location, the street was very quite despite being the busy summer season. The house has more than enough room and the views from the top floor are beautiful. The only concern, is that the bathrooms are dated and the toilets are very low for those who are older and / or have bad knees. But overall this is a wonderful vacation home. Will definitely plan on staying at this property again!

Stayed here for four nights; I loved the architecture and the generous number of bathrooms. Leaving the sliders open at night to hear the crashing waves was an excellent way to get to sleep. Would stay here again!

We stayed for three months and enjoyed the view from the upstairs family room and deck. The house has an idiosyncratic layout that makes it ideal for a large group. The kitchen and bathrooms are dated but adequate. Accessibility in the bathrooms might be an issue for some guests. Three of the four toilets are low and wall mounted, great flushing...hard for our guests who have had joint replacement to use. Kitchen is well stocked with respect to dishes, pots, pans, serving ware and small appliances. I would not sleep on the sofa beds, the mattresses and or mechanisms are long overdue for replacement. The house is well located on the island, although access to the ocean was difficult this year due to earlier storms and beach restoration projects. It looked like that was getting taken care of. If you visit, make sure to try the Driftwood Bistro. This casual bar restaurant is a short bike ride or walk to the north. Good food, good prices, and good atmosphere. We were here during the pandemic....the saddest day was when The Driftwood Bistro closed! While you are there make sure to visit Horton Pond.

We love this property. It is just right for our three couples - we each have our own bedroom and bathroom. Great experience from start to finish. We had a dead car battery on the last day, and the gentleman on emergency call came within minutes with jumper cables to get us going. Fantastic customer service!

This beautiful home has an amazing view. The roof top deck was perfect to view the ocean by day and stars by night. The spacious home allowed our family plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our time together without being "on top of each other". We would defiantly rent this again if available.
