About this house rental
Whether you're visiting Dallas, Texas for business or vacation, the Guest House offers all the amenities. There are two bedroom suites, each with their own bathroom, closet, TV and work area. One bedroom also houses a full washer and dryer. The living room includes a TV, oversized chairs and a sofa perfect for lounging. The kitchen is equipped with restaurant-quality appliances, coffee bar and an oversized island that also acts as a dining area. You have full access to a private front courtyard and full backyard. The owner offices and resides next door, should you require anything during your stay.

Wonderfully designed and crafted 2 bedroom. Amenities were top notch. Owners live next door and stopped in just make sure we were happy. Not in an intruding manner. Great location to restaurants and downtown. Would stay here again!!

My stay was perfect. The home was even prettier than the pictures on VRBO. The owner remodeled the home for his personal guests as well as for renters. As a result, he used very high end materials. The artwork and the decorations were beautiful. I worked remotely from the property and enjoyed watching the cardinals and EZ, the resident dog, out the large picture windows out back. The attention to detail in the home is impressive. Every time I thought the property would be perfect if they had thought of something I looked up, and it was there. The owner and property manager were very nice and made me feel at home.

We loved our stay at this wonderful home. We were there for the Dallas Gift Market and the location was perfect. If you fly into Love Field you are 5 minutes from the house. This cozy, well appointed home has 2 large bedrooms each with their own fabulous bathroom. The kitchen is amazing if you want to cook. The yard is beautiful as well. This home is a treasure and we will definitely return.

Larry and Holly provided first class service and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. I live in Dallas and had my high school girlfriends in for a long weekend. The house was clean and comfortable, and just beautiful! Everything you need and more is provided. The location can’t be beat, within 5-10 minutes of the greatest areas to visit in Dallas, as well as easy access to the freeways for traveling to other DFW locations. We looked forward to EZ visits each day, she’s just the sweetest pup - we all miss her! Telling all my friends, I will definitely choose Mockingbird for future Dallas escapes.

This property is a 5 star gem-perfectly located for the sites we wanted to visit: GW Bush Library, Kennedy Museum, Dallas Southfork. There was some miscommunication with Holly, as I did not receive the code/instructions but because the reviews said the owner lives next door, he came out and greeted us, showed us around this high end decorated unit, gave us excellent restaurant and grocery store locations. As I told Larry, if I had known his property would be so nice, I would have flipped our trip so we would have ended here, because he set the bar so high none of the other places we would be staying at could match his. Thank you Larry!!

We have stayed at numerous VRBO's and we believe this is by far our best experience. Pictures and reviews are reliably representative of this property. Two master suites and central kitchen and living room are an excellent layout and very comfortable. The attention to detail is impeccable and the kitchen is truly a "full kitchen" with nice amenities and top of the line appliances and finishes. The owner has a very cool dog that comes to visit and be your best friend. This is our first time to stay here but we already made a reservation for our next trip before we even checked out the first time! Highly recommend this property.

Words palely express the smartly designed layout and details within this Architecture Digest quality home. Everything is well appointed. Larry, not only envisioned the look and feel of this home, he executed the plans. He is the ideal host, appropriate and approachable. EZ, his quad ped little gal, made her daily visits wiith a cheerful attitude.
The 2 master suites guarantee Royal treatment for all guests. I will definitely make this my stay each time in Dallas.

After staying at Larry's place, I know why he asked for a $3000 deposit! He has this beautiful rental outfitted with high-end everything. And if I had a need, he was there to help very quickly. I felt as if I was in my own home, and so did my daughter, who was there with me to recovery from surgery. Super close to the hospital which was very helpful in our situation.

Everything was great! We loved it. Convenient location to Love Field, Oaklawn, and SMU area. Impeccably clean. Modern high end kitchen. High end mid century moder vibe. Luxurious baths with roomy walk-in showers. My only wish: an umbrella for the back patio seating. And we missed meeting the resident pooch.

Larry and Holly provided our family outstanding (and flexible!) hospitality. The layout of the home is ideal, and the photos do not do it justice! The quality of construction, cleanliness, attention to details (kitchen and laundry supplies, makeup mirrors, quality linens, etc.) is beyond belief.
We are already looking forward to our next visit!

I cannot say enough great things about this house and the hosts Larry and Holly (and EZ the dog; my daughter's favorite part of the house). We stayed for 8 days and this house was more than accommodating for our needs. We will defiantly be staying here again when our travels bring us back to Dallas. Thank you for being such great host and accommodating our trip!

Mockingbird Guest House is an oasis. 2 master bedrooms with a large living room and kitchen between. This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. We will be back.

We stayed for a long weekend. Just my husband and I. The other couple couldn’t make it. So we had the entire place to ourselves. We needed a nice and comfy place to rest. Location was very convenient. Busy street. But you have your open parking area. You can’t hear the busy street once you are inside so noise is not an issue… But 6am the planes start moving around every 15 minutes on the minute.. Both restrooms very nice and spacious. The showers are identical, both nice and very spacious. One restroom has the vanity inside and the other has it outside. Which I think is very nice, so u can be getting ready while someone else is bathing/ showering. Thank you for the cold beer. My husband enjoyed it! Clean linens and plenty of bath and kitchen towels. I appreciated having cleaning supplies.

The home is just beautiful! Very well done and high end. We each had our own master suite area, which was fabulous. There was no need for anything; all was provided in the house and plenty of everything. Backyard area is very nice as well. We just were very comfortable our entire visit. Also, it was located in a perfect spot in Highland Park. I would highly recommend this wonderful property on your next stay in Dallas!

Prefect place for 2 couples. (But room for more) En suites in each room. On opposites ends of the house for optimum privacy. Kitchen was very nice with everything you need. We will definitely stay there again if we’re in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here - one of the nicest STR's we ever stayed at. The house, the property are spotless, well appointed and well thought out. There are two master suites on each end with King beds and the center is a large open concept area. The house is bright, modern, spacious and setup perfect for two couples or a family.
The host lives next door and was easily reachable for questions - super nice guy. The 'guard dog', Easy, was a frequent visitor looking pets and play time - super chill small dog that wandered over every day to check on us. The house in on a busy street, but the house is a bit of a sanctuary - no street noise and once you step inside or in the back yard its super quiet.

We loved this rental so much that we’ve already booked another trip! Larry was the ultimate host providing a well equipped kitchen and even snacks and drinks. The house was beautiful and very clean and we loved that it had nice blackout curtains in both bedrooms. The location was perfect with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Looking forward to our next stay!

The bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and bedrooms were all perfect. Their backyard is great as well, and we felt perfectly safe. I have zero complaints or even areas of improvement.
We hung out with their dog EZ a lot, and he was great with my daughter. Really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back. Thanks for the amazing hospitality.

Adult Beverages!! Larry, the builder/owner and his office manager Angel are right next door and very helpful. A personal drawback: I was desiring sidewalks in the neighborhood because my husband and I like to walk. Everything, i.e. grocery store, Moody YMCA (day guest passes), good restaurants and Highland Park Village is a very close drive though.
