Night staff need to be more professional & if you suffer from any respiratory condition I don’t recommend.

The swimming pool, the breakfast, the day staff. Bed was confortable, air conditioner worked well and didn’t make any noise.

It was dump with a strong smell of damp The bathroom had the tap sink broken leaking water so there was a big puddle on the floor. Told the reception night worker who came late at night to take a look but I found his approach inappropriate as he asked if I was in a relationship or single. He also gave me a hug. I was frozen and felt really not ok with that and made my stay very uncomfortable.

La atención y asesoría al momento de adquirir el cuarto , la ubicación muy buena aunque es un sector solitario y con muchos habitantes de calle.

Los baños comunitarios no le hacen aseo contaste.

UN EXCELENTE DESCANSO

Un excelente lugar, muy agradable... La habitación muy cómoda, La piscina perfecta, el desayuno muy rico. En realidad es una muy buena opción en relación costo-beneficio.

El agua de la ducha baja muy poca.

Balance positivo

La pileta es muy linda. Las camas tienen enchufe, luz y ventilador propio, aunque en verdad es bastante fresca la habitación y yo particularmente no necesité prender el ventilador. El desayuno muy ricoy esta incluido, de 7 a 9 d día mañana. Te ofrecen arepas o tostadas, con distintas variedades de huevos, café y un platico de frutas, la muchacha que sirve muy amable, como todo el personal.

Mejoraría la limpieza de los cubículos, en los rincones había polvo y tierra. Lo mismo en los baños, tal vez agregaría un estante para apoyar las cosas (shampoo, jabón, etc) para no estar entrando y saliendo de la ducha. Dejaría un secador de piso en cada baño para ir manteniendo el piso seco entre limpiezas. Tal vez agragaría alguna cortitinita en los cubículos.

Una semana de aventura en SANTA MARTA

La ateción es muy buena, el lugar no es lujoso, pero es comodo para dormir. Le puedes preguntar al personla lugares reomendado para comer, ir de fiesta, etc y te colaboran con todo. La atención es muy buena, son muy amables. La ubicación, al estar en el centro, la calle particularmente es un poco miedosa, hay mucho habitantes de calle, y no es remendado transitar por allí. Sin embargo, al estar ubicada al lado de la bahia, se puede caminar por ahí y es mucho más seguro. Esta al lado de la calle principal para tomar bus hacia el rodadero, el aeropuerto y muy cerca caminando del mecadito, donde se toman los buses a Minca, palomino, Don diego, etc. Creo que podrian mejorar el aseo de la piscina.

Safe clean comfortable super privacy affordable accommodations The shower had amazing water pressure.

i actually loved this hostel I never slept so good before in a hostel. The beds are situated in a way your body is enclosed and the other half has a privacy curtain. The beds are super comfortable absolutely clean. Another nice touch which so many other hostels don’t have are lockers for your personal belongings. It’s in a nice safe area I walk around day and night and never had a problem. In all actuality I been all over Colombia and never once had a problem what I realized is that Colombian people are very great full to have tourist they are kind, respectful hard working family oriented people just like everyone else in this world there trying to survive. i will be back in Santa Marta in 3 weeks and will book this hostel again. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL TO ANYONE ON THE PLANET.

i liked everything. honestly at these prices anyone who finds anything to complain about is just looking for things to complain about. think of the positive things and always consider this my fellow travelers you leaving any business a bad review because you found a minor thing you didn’t like is potentially effecting someone job and livelihood. Unless it’s something major you find wrong there’s no reason to post minor negativities. If your looking for perfect go rent yourself a 5 star hotel and you’ll still probably find things to complain about over there also. what’s most important is Safe, affordable, clean, comfortable, air conditioning accommodations what else could you ask for

Don't be deceived by the positive reviews!

Beware of all the positive reviews - they seem very suspicious to me. This was my second stay in Santa Marta and I booked this place because it had a pool and seemed quiet. I booked 2 nights and on first impression I was prepared to extend my stay for my remaining days. Pool was refreshing (although a little dirty). And it was indeed quiet because there were few people there. Bunks are very private. The girl who worked in the afternoons was very nice.

Poor wifi. Bathroom stank. Dirty pool. Unpleasant location. And they are super stingy with the air-conditioning. I had to ask for it to be turned on some time after 10pm. And then they turn it off at 5am!!! Good luck sleeping after 6am because the box you sleep in quickly becomes a little sauna. There is a fan but it's very noisy and it doesn't do much except move the hot air around. When I complained about it the manager LITERALLY STARTED SCREAMING AT ME!!! I have never experienced anything like it! She obviously hates her job and is not an appropriate person to have managing a hostel or speaking to guests. Needless to say she refused to refund me for the second night that I didn't stay there. Hot tip - there is a hostel that faces onto Parque Bolívar (actually a nicer area) that is 11,000 pesos cheaper per night, has a great (clean) pool, has breakfast included AND they leave the air-con on in the morning until people have finished sleeping.

There was a small pool and good breakfast Mattresses were comfortable enough.

A lot of dust in the fans on the beds... I had to request for the a/c to be turned on when it hadn't been done by 11pm and also for more toilet paper in the morning. The rooftop is still under construction so looked more like a building site. Looked a bit dated and a lot of squashed mosquitos on the walls around the bed which could do with a wipe down perhaps..

Its just on the edge of where you want to be and don’t want to be The pool was really dirty, I think the pump or a filter was broken as it was unusable, algae floating on the surface wifi did not work in my room

I’m going back for another short stay before my flight.

Great location and wifi was very good. Loved the pool! The breakfast was good but more coffee during breakfast time period would have been good.

It was kept clean but the bathroom floors kept getting very wet.

Great value for money Breakfast 😊 Eddison was very helpful and allowed us to relax in the hostel during the day of check out before our bus at night Dormitory beds have a blind for privacy

Have to pay for towels AC is on only after 9pm in the dormitory rooms, had to go at 10pm to ask to put it on Hotel has a restaurant but ye have to pay 20k for delivery

The place is well maintained and beds are comfortable Staff is really nice and helpful. It's on the edge of the centre but not a great walk away so it was fine I stayed here twice on separate occasions

Good catch if you want something less pricey right in the heart of the city.

The staff was very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The location right by the waterfront was great.

One major thing, there was quite a bit of mold on the walls in the room and in the bathroom. A few minor things: the towels and blanket had a few holes. The bathroom was not super clean when we checked in.
