A budget accomodation suitable for our family, but be aware the cost savings = less comfort/cleanlin

Good location, house is nice. Great lighting and a pretty garden which we enjoyed eating dinner in together.

Cleanliness of the kitchen was subpar which really influenced my enjoyment of the place. There were lipstick marks on a coffee cup and they all had staining. I scrubbed them and wiped out the shelving before we could really settle in. There was also a dried up piece of cabbage in the cutlery draw and the chopping knife was dirty. The only chopping board was wooden - not the best for chopping chicken! There could have been more dishwashing liquid provided, perhaps that's why things in the kitchen were so grubby?

Except for the smell, great option.

Good price. Spacious. Good aircon. Owner left fresh flowers which was welcoming. Happy with location and parking.

Strong, unpleasant musty smell throughout house that we couldn’t get rid off despite leaving all doors and windows open as often as possible.

It served a purpose for 3 nights.

Old mattresses on bed, worn out. Changed beds from a single to the double in the night. Adding bedding from single to make it more comfortable. Still awful.

Brief and excellent.

location - Parris Street which is a part of our on-going history. see 'Moturoa' a local history available from Moturoa Pharmacy. Past stories of place and people are well documented and brought to life, including the owner of 4 Parris St c1950/60s. So, 4 Parris Street was a definite must do.

Some window catches need attention.

Basic affordable accomodation

Location and area was quiet. Has everything you need and lovely little garden attached to the house

The one double bed was really soft and creaky, so that wasn't too comfortable. We also ran out of cold water only to find out that we needed to switch the gas bottles. Never having gas we didn't know what to do.

Good value

Made a good base of operations. Not close to a noisy road. Cost effective for a family. The set up was good and the block out blinds in the first bedroom did a really good job. Nice view of the mountain from the lounge.

Had to switch beds after first night as the one the adults had was a bit tired. The second one was fine.

Comfortable and good to have a whole house to ourselves with a bedroom for each of the kids.

The bedding was mink blankets, would have preferred duvets.

it was adequate

It was quite a steep path to get to the house with uneven concrete. Not ideal for disabled or elderly. Some window kitchen catches didn’t work, bathroom door didn’t close properly, oven needed cleaning. in one room the main bed was over the power point which kept knocking cell phone I plugged in. I didn’t notice when I booked that there was no internet connection, so was pleased it was only a one night stay.

great for families who need to live and cook

fenced backyard, plenty of room. very quiet and great kitchen facilities. laundry, enough towels ! access was fine up the hill and no one bothered us. easy to access the house with key code

window latches but that’s very minor, I prefer duvets rather than mink blankets but with the heating it was fine.

Really great home to stay in, would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The house was spacious, had all the basic creature comforts you needed to enjoy the stay, kitchen had everything you could need and plenty of clean towels and toilet paper. Air conditioning was amazing for the summer heat!

Few maintenance upgrades needed, loose or broken window latches and some doors dont close properly.

A value for money and very comfortable beds. The outdoor patio was lovely too.

There is no indoor garage or a driveway which you have to take note when booking the property, You have to park your car by the grass in front of the property and you have to take a walk up a short pathway to get to the front door. It was pouring when we arrived so it was a bit of a hassle to get our stuff into the house. We had to carry our stuff from car up to the house which can potentially be an issue if you have mobility issues.

Superb

Well stocked kitchen with tea and coffee included. Lovely beds, one softer one firmer so you had a choice and it catered to everyone’s needs. Plenty of pillows too. Cute seating area out back. Close to everything New Plymouth has to offer.
