Spacious family room but would expect better for the price.

Spacious room and the bed was very comfortable. Good central location.

The room was good although I think it won’t age well. Marks and dings in the walls. There was no soap for the shower and I think the cleaning good have been better., including sweeping the balcony.

Good motel to use has a base to explore New Plymouth.

Location Value for money

Noise from a nearby bar which was really loud and sounds like the base was vibrating through the motel.We have stayed at this motel several times before and not had any issues like that this.

extremely expensive. air con didn’t work properly. coffee machine didn’t work. disappointing considering it cost around $360 for a 1 night stay. that would be 3 nights at a standard motel.

Excellent facility. Would happily recommend to family and friends.

Large room, excellent bathroom, very clean unit. Great location to town and waterfront walk. If travelling to New Plymouth again The Metrotel would be my first choice.

Great short or long stay accommodation, but book a carpark.

Lovely sunny large rooms, handy location

Parking was ridiculous. No regos we’re taken. Anyone could have parked there. We had one car, two rooms and still had to park on the street.

Nice place to stay

Good parking, very clean, great bathroom, lots of space, great security.

Our room was next to the road which had loud people walking past late at night a couple times.

Very poor sound insulation, I could hear conversations of people in the next room. Had some difficulty sleeping as a result.

Home Away From Home

Central to town, very clean rooms. We have been local regular guests there ever since this place has opened. Always received great discounts for being loyal guests. ..BUT.. The last year or 2, maybe more, we've seen the change in customer service & price increases, and it hasn't felt the same from previous years. We, however, will always support the Metrotel.

Moving forward, whenever we visit New Plymouth again, we will definitely book The Metrotel. The room is clean, spacial and comfortable. Very suitable for family. Awesome location, walking distance to CBD and all famous scenics. The staff is very friendly!!! The only suggestion we can think of is perhaps to provide salt and pepper!

Very comfortable, had the best sleep. I was in a ground level, back unit and I could not tell how central city I was, Super Quiet. Very clean, great comfortable space with room to spread out and work at the desk. Will definitely be back on my next trip to New Plymouth.
