Situated in Ohio, this attractive cabin for $160 per night is a great choice for your next break. Welcome to the Andrew Behm cabin, Visitors to the cabin will enjoy a peaceful rural experience while viewing the breathtaking views of the rolling foothills of Adams County. Named after the first family to settle the land in the 1800’s, Behm Mountain Cabin is a relaxing spot in the wilds of Adams County, Ohio. The cabin is reconstructed from the original stones and hand-hewn logs of several historical structures, originally built over 100 years ago. Relax in front of the wood burning fireplace and enjoy a peaceful night's rest on one of the three queen beds with pillow-top mattresses. Behm Cabin sleeps up to 6 people - great for a family retreat. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with unique concrete and antique counter spaces; if you choose to cook everything you need is available. There are two full bathrooms with tiled showers and provided linens. The master bath has an antique sink and rock counter. Behm is intentionally low-tech, however there is a T.V. on Dish Network and a DVD player provided. If you need phone service, please bring your cell phone. Our cleaning charges are included in the base price, so there is no additional added at check-out!! The property includes 40 acres with abundant wildlife and some walking paths. The area is a peaceful place to grill-out and sit at the picnic table under the timber framed gazebo. You can also relax by the fire pit and stargaze or let the kids catch fireflies. Complimentary firewood for fireplace and outdoor fire pit is provided. There are several attractions all located 30 minutes or less from the cabin. The world famous Serpent Mound, the Wheat Ridge Amish Community and shops, the Edge of Appalachia and Arc of Appalachia nature preserve hiking trails, Chaparral Prairie and Davis Memorial hiking trails, Ohio Brush Creek which is great for canoeing, kayaking and fishing, Adams Lake State Park, Shawnee State Park, Mineral Springs Lake, and the Adams County Quilt Barn trail. We reserved a stay for our parents' anniversary gift and they had a wonderful time! The cabin is absolutely beautiful & the views are stunning. So thankful for the hospitality shown to them while they were there and are grateful that they had such an amazing time away! Thank you for making it such a memorable trip for them! We had a lady’s weekend at the beautiful cabin. It is even better than the pictures. The cabin was clean, cozy and was decorated so well. It felt like home. The property was unbelievable mid-October. Many colors and not a neighbor in sight. We were able to sit by the fire and catch up in this tranquil setting. It was everything we’d wanted and more. Check in was easy. The owners even left a welcome note and a homemade loaf of bread. Perfect with morning coffee! We’d love to return.

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary at the cabin. It was so clean, relaxing, and beautiful, and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the surrounding area, including Chapparal Prairie where we saw wildflowers and butterflies. The bed was comfortable and we loved the big cozy chairs inside for reading. We also used the firepit and had our Anniversary dinner out under the picnic pavilion. Love this cabin and hope to return! Also, the hosts made us a wonderfully yummy zucchini bread ! So thoughtful!

Clean, quiet, well stocked, with everything we needed to be comfortable. This is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy a slower pace of life. It was as if time slowed down for the week we were there. Be careful of the incline in the trail. Bring hiking sticks. Serpell was highly responsive and welcoming. We will be coming back.

The cabin is beautiful and bigger than we anticipated. It has all the amenities we needed plus an impressive peace and quiet. And to top it off the beds were very very comfortable! If we have any excuse to come to Adams county we will definitely stay here again!

The cabin is more beautiful in person than in pictures. Inside is very well thought out and has everything you would need. Very well taken care and very clean. The bathroom showers are amazing! The beds were if I was sleeping in my own bed. We loved this cabin so much. It was so warm and welcoming. Can't wait to be able to come back! Thank you for the muffins too! 😊

The Andrew Behm Cabin is a beautifully restored heavy timber-framed cabin that is located on a tranquil hilltop among the forests of southern Ohio. Its proximity to the many lovely nature preserves and excellent local hiking trails made it particularly attractive to us retirees who were looking to go birding, botanizing, and exploring the local area. It was a pleasure to return to the comfortable environment of the cabin at the end of a day of activity and just completely relax. We highly recommend it.

The cabin was truly unique, comfortable and extremely well appointed. Extremely nice! The Atkins were great hosts A great experience all the way around. Be advised----when they tell you NOT to use your GPS navigation system and to use Google maps instead to find the cabin, believe them!

You hear nothing but the birds, critters, and trees that surround the property. Peaceful and beautiful country side roads with an amazing view to the valley. This place, and the people who own it , were kind and friendly. If you want peace - go there.

Property was very clean and had that warm cabin feel too. Definitely would stay again at this property. If you are planning on hunting the Tranquility area the deer population is very sparse. EHD seems to have significantly reduced the population. Other areas such as brush creek or Shawnee may be a better choice.
