Excellent stay. What a beautiful home. Yes there is some wear and tear as with any home, but, everything worked and was clean. Did I mention location?? 1 block to the beach, a supermarket and restaurants/bars within walking distance. We loved it.

Thid property is a steal of a deal for the area. Great beds and bedrooms, a cool pool and deck, very secure and safe and great communcation from the host. I would say it is nicer than the photos communicate. That being said, it could use some TLC in little areas....loose cupboard handles, frayed light fixtures, and a lot of the dishes/silverware didnt seem extremely clean. The bathrooms were adequate of course but the showers were very covered in limescale (though they still worked fine). Just something to be aware of if you are expecting 5 stars. That being said...we weren't home much and it was still a great fit and value for us!

Enjoyed our stay at Casa Oaisis, very short walk to the beach, nice house, good communication with the owner and property management.

Great location near beaches and restaurants. House was very comfortable - perfect for a family vacation.

Great location, nice pool and comfortable beds
Walking distance to the beach, nice pool to chill in, nice seating area in the back to have dinners outside, big enough place to suit 5 of us. Place is a little tired from renting out with lights not always working in the master bedroom bathroom and some damage to the kitchen cabinets and countertops. But it was clean and comfortable for all of us. The fridge was a good size too.

Comfortable and easy
We had a great time at Casa Oasis in Playa Langosta. The house was clean and comfortable, an easy walk to the beach and a quick drive to town. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge, but that is no fault of the owner. He provided us with good directions and Google Maps is accurate. All issues were resolved quickly. Prince, the cat, is charming.

A very nice place. :)
The property is very, very nice. The only problem is that it is just a little worn and could use some love. The hot tub doesn't actually get hot, the main chair in the living room could use replacing and one of the cabinet shelves kept falling off. However, this is merely nitpicking on a wonderful, large and inexpensive property at which to stay. The house is huge, the rooms are nice (especially the master bedroom and bath) and the air conditioners work very well. Also, when we had problems, the caretaker came over and took care of things right away. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Playa Longasta - On-line description inaccurate
The property needs a LOT of TLC. Compared to adjacent properties it is quite run-down considering that the rental price is comparable. We were there for 3 weeks and were without Wifi for about half of that time which made it very difficult to plan excursions, keep in touch, etc. The property description was inaccurate. It is actually not as close to the beach as the photos make it seem. Not too far (5 to 10 minutes) but our expectations were different than the reality. Cleanliness was not great. We had cockroaches in the kitchen drawers. As other reviews have said, the inside space is quite dark. More lighting is needed. Thankfully air conditioning worked great. We made it work for us but for the price I know we could have stayed in better accommodations.

Quiet and restful
Some of us liked the house more than others. I personally loved the front and back patios, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was good.
When we arrived the pool was not working but it was fixed quickly and was maintained daily along with the outside patio being swept etc.
We all felt the house needs more light. It was very dark inside and there was not adequate lamps. It would be very helpful if there were some written directions for where to find what light switch and how to operate the oven ( a complete mystery) and for those of us not familiar with the air conditioners , a brief note on how they are operated. More ice trays would be wonderful as well. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved the cat!
We found the beach at the Playa Logosta Beach Club the best. This is a perfect house for a laid back family and kids would love the pool.

Great location, well stocked, nice design, great amount of space
This house is perfectly located near beautiful Playa Langosta away from the hectic feel of Tamarindo, yet close enough to enjoy the city if you choose. 8 of us stayed at the property in perfect comfort. The kitchen is well stocked, the bbq is great, the pool is a perfect way to cool off, and the lovely trees all over the yard make it a tropical paradise. There are two large sitting areas to enjoy outdoor meals. Prince, the cat, is a gem. We had a few logistical/maintenance issues including a major light fixture burned out, a washing machine that doesn't really work (but we weren't told this), a blocked shower drain, and too early cleaning service on the day we were leaving. As soon as we reported the maintenance issues, they were fixed immediately except the washing machine, but we managed. If you go, know that the ice maker does not work, so buy bags of ice and we added 2 ice cube trays to the property for future renters. Also set your expectations that the hot tub is not hot - it's just a nice way to soak in the warm nights or have some jets on your back. Personally, our family and guests found the main room very dark, so hanging out there at night was hard, but we spent most of the time outside and one could read in some of the bedrooms. Enjoy this property, it is really a great vacation house.

We had an amazing stay at Case Oasis!
We came to Costa Rica for our son's wedding and wanted a villa close to his location in Playa Langosta. We're so glad we rented this villa. It was in an excellent location, far enough away from Tamarindo so we could enjoy the quiet, but close enough to walk in and enjoy the restaurants, shops and nightlife.
The villa was clean and comfortable and I thought the kitchen was one of the best equipped in any of the properties that I've rented. We cooked in quite a bit and I didn't find anything lacking. If you're there on a Saturday morning walk/drive into Tamarindo and go to the farmer's market for local fresh fruit and vegetables. The outdoor cooking area was a great place to fix a meal and relax.
We loved the pool/Jacuzzi area and spent quite a bit of time there as it was windy during our stay and hard to stay on the beach with the flying sand. We were assured by the locals that this was not the norm, but the wind was pretty consistent for the two weeks we were there. The pool and Jacuzzi both stayed cool, which was welcome after the heat of the day.
There is space for a car/golf cart, but we just walked or used a taxi. We used the taxi stand in Tamarindo (got a card our first day there for the number) and they were prompt and had newer, clean cars. If you use them tell them Quatro Gringos sent you. They'll know right where Casa Oasis is!
Bokas (tapas), El Sap (pizza) and Matties (salads/sandwiches) are all close the house with great food. There's a little market at the end of the street which we used frequently for ice cream. In Tamarindo we ate at Pangas Beach Club, Pategonia, The Ocean, La Palapa, Witch's Rock/Volcano Brewing, Seasons, and El Bey, which were all good. We did the buffet at Capitan Suiza and were disappointed. I wouldn't go back there again.
We did have a minor issue and contacted the property manager who had someone there in about fifteen minutes.
Prince the cat was a welcome addition to our week. He loves to be petted and fussed over.
All in all we had a great two weeks there and would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful house but needs some maintenance
We all enjoyed our stay at Casa Oasis, the layout of the house was great with plenty of space for the six of us. We especially enjoyed having Prince stay with us during our visit. Always there to welcome us back from our day trips.
Although the house was great, there were a few things that really require some attention. The right front element on the stove didn't work and the stove top itself was in rought shape. The ice maker didn't work. The coffee maker stopped working, the washing machine did not spin at the end of the cycle so we ended up having to ring out the laundry each time and the Hot Tub really could not be used.
Generally speaking the house was showing its age.

A comfortable oasis in Playa Langosta, close to the quiet beach & to services in Tamarindo
Our party of 8 enjoyed the comfort and amenities at this property. It was super-close by foot to the natural and quiet beach and minutes by car to all the action and services in the town of Tamarindo and to the busy beach.
The host and the property management team was super-responsive in accommodating us as we were a last-minute rental. The house is in need of some minor updating in terms of household items and style but other than that, it is an excellent rental property to consider in the area.

A true Oasis!
We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Oasis. We arrived a little later than planned after driving from Arenal/La Fortuna, and Maria was able to get a guard from another house to let us in. We didn't really get a tour of the house/facilities, but the writeup Peter sent prior was extremely thorough, so we got the gist fairly quickly, which more than enough space for our group of 6... + Prince the cat who lives at the house. The house itself was well decorated, extremely spacious, and amazingly comfortable for all of us. The pool was great (we did not use the hot tub since we were more than comfy with the pool). The house is just a short walk to the beach, to Matty's, and the pizza place (the name escapes me at the moment), a yummy tapas place (Bokas), and a small grocery store. It is close to Tamarindo (we didn't really want the hustle and bustle), and very close the the Langosta Beach Club and Revive Wellness center which is where my daughter and I spent time while the boys went to look for more monkeys in the mangroves. They were also fascinated by the gecko's and iguanas and birds we could see from our lovely oasis - pool area surrounded by palm trees, and enjoyed lounging midday/late afternoon in the shade and the pool. It was also only short jaunt to Lola's/Playa Avellanas where we went to watch the sunset. (NOTE: Lola's stops serving food after the sun sets, so if you are planning to go there for dinner, get there a little before sunset.) Would recommend Casa Oasis to anyone who wants to stay near the Tamarindo scene, but not in the thick of it.

A True Oasis!
We had the pleasure of spending 7 nights in Casa Oasis. This house had everything our family needed- plenty of bedrooms, several sitting areas both inside and out, and a full kitchen. When we were in Costa Rica, it was is in the high 90's every day, and it was always a pleasure to come back to the house, have a dip in the clean pool, and sit in one of the lovely outdoor shaded areas with our best friend for the week, Prince the Cat. If you are a cat lover, prepare to fall head over heels in love with this very sweet boy.
This house is in a great location- Langosta- about a 15-20 minute walk from bustling Tamarindo. For us, we enjoyed being in a quieter area, but having access to the more lively part of town within minutes. With that said, right near the house, there are some restaurants if you don't feel like venturing out. There is Matty's, which is great for breakfast or lunch, Bokas, which has tapas and cocktails, and our favorite, El Sapo, which had outstanding Italian-style pizza. There is also a little market just down down the street for some essentials, food, water, and alcohol.
There is beach access about 2 minutes from the house, and we found that the most beautiful part of the beach was about halfway between Langosta and Tamarindo. This area had very few rocks and good sand and surf, plus it was much quieter than in Tamarindo. With that said, we enjoyed going to Tamarindo also for the activity, restaurants, and nightlife, and if you are feeling lazy or it is late at night, you can get a taxi for $5 to/from the house.
We would gladly stay at Casa Oasis if we were to return the Guanacaste area- it suited us perfectly. We felt very safe there, and it was a clean, comfortable house. I would highly recommend staying here for a quiet neighorhood minutes away from fun!

Great house!
My family and I were really happy with the location of the house and the house itself. We tried most if the recommended restaurants on the list provided by the owner Peter. All were great! Our two favorite were La Esquina and Pangas. House is a good distance from the party area and we always felt safe. The house cat Prince is the most charming cat I've ever met. He's very loving and was always waiting for our arrival. Next time I'm in Tamarindo I will definitely stay at Casa Oasis.

Nice Oasis
Great gated property off the edge of the hustle of little Tamarindo. Less about the town- more about the house.... Well located. super outdoor area with an awesome pool with jets. the hot tub we didnt use since it was already hot out. Nice kitchen with adequate supplies to get essential cooking done. dishwasher. AC throughout worked very well and was a super addition. We found the lighting throughout to be a little on the dim side, especially in the kitchen area but it was adequate. Rooms were good size and the living room was a super space for gathering. Their were eight of us and we all had a bed. The little outbuilding has a bedroom and bathroom and is a cute addition. It had its own AC. Everything was very clean and in good order. The locks and keys were a little bit of a chore as they don't all match but we figured it out. The furnishings could use an update and/or a womens touch as they were just a little sparse. The courtyard was awesome with trees and plants. There is a grill in good condition but we did not use, and an outside table area. The owner was very accomodating and friendly. We had a few hiccups with travel that would have caused big problems but the owner was willing to be flexible- turned out we were able to make our scheduled visit as planned. The property manager was not around on the weekend but let us in quickly and answered the basic questions. The cat was a nice addition and added a little homeyness to the property. Its a fun place, and helped give us a great trip. We would recommend it and could stay again. We hit Rosa's and recommend it (worth the drive) and there is certainly no lack of places to eat in Tamarindo. Just not enough days. We had cars and would recommend the convenience. Enjoy!

Oasis minutes outside of busy Tamarindo!
We found this listing with a few others on the site and enquired about staying from March 25th to April 6th. Peter promptly got back to me and answered all of our questions about Langosta Beach vs Tamarindo. A little apprehensive to be away from all the people. However, this lovely area is only minutes away by car and certainly walkable to Tama. There is a wonderful little Fish & Cheese store with great Italian wines, seafood and deli items. As well, a small mercado for regular fare at the end of the road. There are the beach clubs and a couple of other restaurant places right in Langosta Beach and the beach is 2 little paths from the house! We were here for our niece's wedding at the Langosta Beach Club and so hosted a shower at the house. Maria, the house manager, got us help for the day to clean and prepare for the event. As well, since everyone else in hotels, we were able to have a few small family dinners in the quiet home setting away from all the crowds. We loved cooking and found everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms and beds were great and the cat quite amusing. By the way, don't leave food around as Mr. Prince is happy to jump up on the counter and lick the butter or grab a snack of fish!!! Since we were here just after Easter (where the town population swells by about 25,000 people), there was a water shortage. The Esplendor atop the hill in Tama had water shut off at about 2 pm in the afternoon whereas ours down in Langosta was not off until later at 6 pm for the rest of the evening. It was the day we had the shower so lots of girls and cocktails. No problem, we got a pail of pool water to flush build up in the toilets! All prep had been done so left dishes for the next day. We enjoyed the pool and the patio furniture poolside, the house, the gates...just about everything. Anything we needed promptly appeared from Maria, well worth the stay and we were sad to leave. Thank you for sharing your home Peter!

Great vacation property, lots of private patio & pool amenities
This property offers very good housing besides providing lots of outdoors and patio space to enjoy the Costa Rica experience. There's three individual patio areas attached to his home (one in the pool area, a larger one centered in the back between the housing units, and a smaller one on the side that provided the best breeze during our stay). There was more than enough patio furniture to host many/all guests at either of the two main patios.
The large variety of mature tropical trees provided lots of natural shading. The walls around this property and the solid gate provided total privacy. The amenities within the house provided for everything we desired and each room has individual A/C units. The house is close walking distance to a beach, a market, and restaurants.

Paradise
Our group of 6 stayed the first week and then another group of 8 stayed the second week.
The home is beautiful and well cared for. The walk to the beach is about 3 blocks and the estuary is really awesome.
You are close to Tamarindo (can walk via the beach) and many really nice restaurants and a great fish market.
The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is up to date. We would definitely stay there again!
PS The cat is a real character!

Beautiful, spacious house in a great location
The house is comfortable, spacious and beautiful! It was a great place to relax in the evening by the pool or in the "backyard" patio after a busy day of activities. Just a quick walk to the beach. Great to walk the beach to Tamarindo at low tide (or spend hours exploring the tide pools). Just a $5 cab ride to/from Tamarindo. Maria, the property manager, was helpful with recommendations for surf lessons and restaurants. My daughters loved Princess (or Prince?), the resident cat! We enjoyed surf lessons, scuba diving, snorkeling, boogie boarding, zip lining and lots of amazing food in the Tamarindo restaurants. I've already recommended this home to friends who are planning to visit Costa Rica!

Casa Oasis
Great house in nice location. Everything listed was as it had been disclosed. The nine of us enjoyed every minute. The cable went down and DVD was not working but playing cards, talking with family and reading was not a bad compromise. Everyone loved the resident cat and the surprise visit from a neighborhood raccoon. the store down the street is a nice convenience. Better prices can be found in town but nice for those last minute items. We will be back to CR.

Charming house
We were 5 adults (7 during a few days) who vacationed during two weeks at Casa Oasis. This casa is ideally situated, 5 minutes from Playa Langosta and within easy walking distance to Playa Tamarindo. We decided against renting a car and never missed it. We only occasionally used a taxi (4$ or 5$US) when groceries were too heavy.
Every day, preferably in the morning, we walked to Playa Tamarindo, not only for the walk itself but to take advantage of its shops and good restaurants. In the early evening, we favoured Playa Langosta for its wide, deserted expanse and to take in its beautiful sunsets.
Casa Oasis is very charming with its open concept, cathedral ceilings, warm wooden beams and it's well-landscaped and shaded gardens. Not surprisingly, we lived mostly out of doors, breakfasting on the front terrace, dining in the rear and spending the hotter hours lounging around or in the nice cool pool.
To note: we were visited by an intruder who must have jumped over the wall and gained entrance through a partially open bathroom window. The culprit must have been interrupted, for only a small amount of money was missing. Lesson learned: we kept the window closed and always locked whatever patio door when no one was on that patio.
All this being said, we would like to add that Casa Oasis could benefit from the " loving" touch of its owner. Foremost, the hot tub was much too hot to be enjoyed and neither the "pool boy" nor any of us could control it except to shut it off, if only to save energy. Also, a thorough house cleaning and some upkeep seem required. The kitchen and bathroom floors show water damage; the sofa and curtains are dusty; and the wiring behind the TV and VCR is an unsightly web trapping dust balls. The guest house must not have been used recently as there was a broken light bulb in the ceiling socket and we mopped and dusted both the room and the bathroom before using it. Although the large master bedroom had ample closets, the other bedrooms lacked hanging facilities: a few hooks on the wall or a coat-hanger would have helped.
Despite these minor drawbacks, we spent an enjoyable stay at Casa Oasis and have warm souvenirs of the house and it's surroundings.
Finally about Prince: he/she is an amazing animal commanding respect if only because of its ability to endlessly adapt to new families. And he/she can effectively convey its needs, making it endearing even to those who are not cat people.

By the Beach
The house was clean except that the couches had a lot of spots on them. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and for six of us to eat, but the Teflon on all of the pans was damaged which is a health concern. The pool was very small. The drain in the main shower was backed up and it took a couple of days to fix. The hot tub was warm, not hot, which seems to be common in Costa Rica. The cat Prince knows how to get in when the doors are closed. He really is an amazing cat. There were not a lot of bugs at this property. It was nice and in a beautiful neighborhood. There is a small store half a block away which is very convenient. The walk to the Playa Langosta beach is very easy and the beach is amazing with an inlet from the river to swim in. The beach itself is more suited to surfing due to the large waves. Tamarindo's beach, which is about a 20 minute walk had smaller waves and was fun to body surf in. The water was very warm and pleasant.
