About this cabin rental
This charming log cabin home is located in Franklin, NC nestled in a valley, surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. It's location is quiet, peaceful and relaxing but it's also just a short distance from endless possibilities for fun and adventure. When you step out on the screened back porch and take in the view, life slows down and seems more serene. With rustic mountain elegance, this hideaway is the perfect place for everything from romantic getaways to family gatherings.
The main level includes the master bedroom (with TV), full bath with shower, kitchen (fully equipped), dining area, game corner, living room with a TV and gas fireplace, screened porch and an outdoor gas grill.
The loft level includes a guest bedroom with 2 twin beds, a half bath and a reading area that overlooks the living room.
The basement level includes fun things like a ping pong table, foosball table, darts, air hockey & a treadmill along with a washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
The cabin has air conditioning and heating, cell service and Dish Network.

In Franklin for a family wedding. Stayed with family and were only 3 miles from the wedding venue. Nice cabin with a beautiful view. I couldn't ask for a better place to have my coffee than that screened in porch. Franklin was a really nice small town with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Hope we can go back again before to long.

Had a comfortable stay. Wonderful place, comfortable beds, sparkling clean with everything we needed. Great location that is secluded, but only a couple of miles to town. Would definitely stay again.

Jeannie made this place absolutely perfect! We loved everything about our stay. The house was clean, bed was comfy, the view was lovely, everything you need is there and each morning on the screened in porch was soul nourishing! We can’t wait to stay again!

Our 2nd stay at this property. Very comfortable and nicely appointed. The screened porch with rocking chairs is where we spent most of our time. The cabin seems to be remote but it is only a 10 minute drive to Franklin. We will be back!

We were very impressed with the secluded log home! Located close to everything Franklin yet feels like wilderness. The property owners were gracious and have an excellent check-in along with very timely communications! Very comfortable furnishings and bed! 5 stars all the way!

Loved our stay in this cabin! This was a real true cabin experience with all the woodwork to go along with it! Jeannie was the perfect host! She had a special welcoming card for us as we entered the cabin. And detailed notes on how to enter and exit the cabin, so read very carefully and follow instructions and you’ll be fine. Will definitely be staying here again, hopefully soon! Oh and don’t forget to purchase the handmade creams, soaps and lotions. They really work for dry skin!!!

Absolutely fell in love with Rabbit Creek Hideaway!! Loved the rustic feel of the cabin and the view from the screened porch was beautiful! Pictures do not do it justice! Perfectly secluded in the trees, we watched the cardinals play in the leaves every morning of our stay. The cabin was perfectly appointed with everything we needed. The owners were more than gracious and even left us some homemade jam that was AMAZING!!! Great cabin, great owners, great location- will definitely be back!!

Our stay was perfect! Cabin was conveniently located, but still very private. Had a beautiful view off the screened porch & out the windows. Very cozy and warm, but rustic charm through & through. Gas fireplace added to ambience. Very clean with so many personal touches & little surprises. It was easy to tell the hosts put their hearts into it. And all of the games in the basement were super for family fun and entertainment options. Hosts were great communicators & very helpful. Locating the cabin (gps/directions), getting in & out (security system) & check-in/check-out instructions & responsibilities were clear & easy. Will certainly stay here again! Loved it!

We loved all of the homey touches; a welcome note, homemade jam, names on stockings and a cozy fireplace. The view of the mountains and surrouding scenery was beautiful. Lord willing we will definately be back for another stay. We highly recommend this cabin.

We chose to stay at this location for a fun weekend taking our little one to the Polar Express over in Bryson City. Beautiful drive about 40 minutes away. The hosts did a wonderful job decorating the cabin for Christmas - it felt like a home away from home!

This property was great for us. We went just after thanksgiving the place was decorated for Christmas with a beautiful and stocking with our names what a special touch! Was centrally located for us this trip as we wanted to spend a day in Helen Georgia and another day in gatlinburg TN. The house was clean a little to cold to use the porch it the view was great!!! We will definitely stay her again . Oh and the owners are wonderful and super friendly must say that is super important so thank you we truly enjoyed our stay!!!

We had an amazing time at Rabbit Creek! My husband had to come to Franklin for work and I was able to work remotely from the cabin. The internet worked great and I set my "desk" to look out the window on the blackberry patch and pasture scenery. The owners were so sweet and we even bought some of the goodies that she hand makes. We loved how easy it was to check out- no excessive cleaning asked! We would highly recommend!

Directions were excellent and access easy.. The cabin was clean and ready for our arrival and our king bed was very comfortable. We loved rocking on the screened porch and swing. We would have liked more space on the main level to move around.

This cottage is just perfect! Cute as a button, very comfortable, and such a fantastic view! I could rock away the day on that screened-in porch forever.
I kind of expected the upstairs space under the eaves to be a bit on the warm side, but the air conditioning worked like a dream and the ceiling fans moved the air around nicely. Plus the evenings are so nice and cool there, even at the end of June. I can only imagine how cozy the cabin would be in the winter with the fireplace going.
The towels, sheets, pillows and mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is small but very adequately stocked with everything you could need. Unlike many VRBO properties at which I've stayed, the list of checkout expectations is extremely minimal, basically they just want you to close the blinds and lock the door. This was refreshing after staying at places that practically want you to clean the place yourself while still charging you a cleaning fee.
My only regret is leaving my jam! There is a lovely little "shop" of homemade items--jams and lip balms and soaps, etc. I tried a lip balm and was very pleased with it, and paid for that and a jar of jam--we received a very nice gift of a jar of carrot cake jam but I wanted to try the Christmas Jam--and I forgot to take it! Oh well, I guess I'll have to go back!
I've stayed in quite a few VRBOs and while I've enjoyed all of them I generally prefer going somewhere new every vacation, but I would love to come back here.

We came to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and it was exactly what we wanted. The house was great!! We enjoyed playing ping pong, air hockey, and darts in the lower level. The best part was sitting on the screened in porch in the morning watching the cows grazing across the way and the firefly show at night. It was hard to leave. Beautiful spot. All the amenities you need.

We really enjoyed our stay! Cabin was very clean, peaceful and secluded, and had everything you need. The view was beautiful. And I love the little nook with the owners homemade jams and body care products. We bought a few to bring home and share with the kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed. The view from the back porch was beautiful with cows grazing on rolling hills to the left and then dogwood trees, a field with blackberry bushes and a great mountain view. We definitely plan to come back as often as possible.

The property is clean and inviting, with lovely views of raspberry fields and hills dotted with peaceful cows. The owners have stocked the house well and it it a perfect base camp from which to explore the area. We love the Nantahala National Forest especially.

We stayed at Rabbit Creek Hideaway for our anniversary weekend and are so glad we did! The owners obviously truly care about their guests! Upon arrival we discovered a bottle of wine left for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture! My favorite areas of this cabin were the reading nook in the loft area and the screened in porch. Both areas were enjoyed early mornings with a hot mug of coffee, either reading or just watching the day dawn while listening to roosters crow. This place is secluded, quiet and peaceful. Just what we were looking for. We definitely will be back and will recommend this cabin to friends & family.

My wife and I came over to celebrate our wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. The cabin is not way out on the side of a mountain, which I also enjoy, but near town. Still had the feel of being alone in your cabin, no neighbors and a beautiful view. Easy in and out, which is nice. Will definitely stay here again.😎

This was our second visit to Rabbit Creek Hideaway. Ross and Jeannie have such a peaceful place tucked away at the end of a valley. Everything in the cabin is very neat and tidy, with clear labeling for use. We love the screened in porch with the view of the mountains and the neighboring blueberry fields. We had one small issue with the gas logs going out periodically due to likely having air in the lines, but Jeannie was very easy to communicate with about it. We worked with it for a little while and everything was fine. A great place to relax and recharge. You feel like you’re miles and miles from town, but it’s really less than five minutes from the great shops and restaurants that Franklin offers. We can’t wait for visit #3!
