The suite was great for 2 adults. The bathroom was a little tight as the door had to be closed to use the commode and the bathroom sink was small. I didn't like the window unit air conditioners. The bedroom one would blow right on you in the bed. The back porch was very nice. To access the beach you had to walk about 4 blocks so I would have liked to be closer to the beach. Great to have bikes, stand up paddle boards, chairs, and kayaks available which were included.

We enjoyed our stay, close to Stump Park and the beach. The on site “toy box” was a hit: we used a wagon, chairs, shell basket, and life vest. We rode the bikes to get coffee one morning and they worked great. We cooked all our meals in the vrbo and everything we needed was available. We also used the grill on the back patio. The keurig coffee maker was fine and we ended up buying a reusable k cup pod because we drink a lot of coffee. Honestly, no complaints and only good times. For feedback, having a usb charging port is the only thing that we could have used but only because we only brought one for all our devices. Thanks for all the good memories!

This was our 3rd time renting at Stumps Pass Place and enjoyed as much as previous visits. We stayed in Suite 2 and the layout and amenities were perfect.
The one negative with Suite 2 it only has outside space at the rear and the noise from the AC units does not really suit for a quiet evening drink. The other downstairs unit have seating outside where you can enjoy a sit outside.

We were coming to get away from people, life, the hustle and grind and wow did this place give us that. We were the only ones there our entire stay so it was very peaceful. Come to think of it the entire island was very quiet which we really loved. Everything was perfect, impeccable and clean. Quality everything right down to the beach chairs and umbrellas. Location was amazing! Close to Stump Pass, Englewood Beach, Dearborn, we just loved it so much and hated to leave. Beautiful resort and I loved the complimentary canvas beach bag that was left. Thank you!

From reservation to checkout, the process with this manager was easy!
Home was cozy and clean with every comfort we needed for the week.
In our opinion, the best part of this property was all the toys!! We paddleboarded, kayaked, snorkeled, biked, shelled, sunbathed and enjoyed the beach with chairs and umbrellas - all right there at the house to use. Saved us a bunch of money from rentals - and both the bay and the beach were a quick walk away.
Loved our second visit to the same property and look forward to visiting again!

First time staying and it was great. It was a bit loud and rowdy as the family beside us had 4 kids who used the showers outside our room as the kids shower. Great amenities and clean and quiet. Best sleep thanks to the window air units. Would have liked to have more towels and amenities like toiletries/sunscreens like we have had at other places. The shell and toe clean station was a great bonus addition! Overall good stay! Thanks!

It's a very clean place, nicely decorated, with all the kitchen equipment you could need. We enjoyed the private patio out back, with beautiful plants and many visiting birds. We used all the available equipment, including the kayaks and bikes and were very happy with the quality of everything. The whole area is just beautiful. We loved being so close to the park's gorgeous beach. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

My room was large, clean and comfortable. The back patio was spacious and well equiped. The property manager was responsive in helping me to get back into my room when I was locked out. However, if you think this location has a pool as listed in the amenities, they don’t. Look at the very tiny print below the photo of said pool. It is a community pool approximately 10 minutes away and there are no directions as to where it is or how to access it. Very disappointing especially since the beach was virtually inaccessible due to the red tide.

We loved our time in Stump Pass! The unit was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen appliances suited our needs. The patio was quiet and mostly (there were workers on adjoining homes repairing storm damage.These owners had not control over that) private. The bed was comfortable and storage space fit our needs. My only sort-of negative was the bathroom. The sink is small and provided little counter space. I’m also glad that we are small people. The toilet is tucked into a corner that might be difficult for larger people. Oh yes. Open the front closet wide to find the beach and additional bath towels.
The “toy box” was such a great joy! So many choices of toys and beach accoutrements! We would love to come back

The property was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the well appointed kitchen with very nice dishes, glassware and silverware. Also every appliance we could have needed was there. The bed was extra comfy! The pool in the back was an extra bonus and there were several areas outside to sit and enjoy the weather. The neighborhood is absolutely lovely and a pleasure to walk around. It's a very short walk to the beach. We stayed just shortly after Hurricane Ian and found the unit in excellent condition. The owner is super responsive and was quick to respond to a call for assistance that we had. Definitely planning our next return trip!

Excellent stay!!
I'll start by thanking Peter and his crew for all the efforts they put towards making their guests feel at home. The attention to details here is really impressive. Communication with them was also very easy every time I needed anything. My only complain, which is not their fault, is that I wished there was a direct access to the beach from the property without having to go inside the State Park or drive to a public beach nearby. I honestly thought I could just go across the street and lay at the beach. As others have mentioned, they have a "Toy Box" where you can find almost anything you need for the beach, from buggy boards, beach wagons, coolers, toys for kids, Umbrellas, chairs, etc. The only thing I couldn't find in there were life jackets for kids, but I didn't ask Peter about it so maybe they did have some around. Again, thanks Peter for everything, you guys truly made the difference!!

My 3rd trip to Stumps Pass Place. Always a delight. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful. Just as advertised, only thing you need to bring besides clothes and some food is an appetite for peaceful retreat. The gulf calls your name thru the palms. Bring a mesh bag and let the ocean give you all the shells you can carry. Oh and lots of shark teeth too. Kayak out to Stumps Pass State Park for the best shell finds. ( pay attention to the tides if you kayak)

The place was very clean and pleasantly decorated. I did find it too dark and closed in feeling. The town is not equipped with any boutiques/stores for shopping, as I specifically asked about prior to making a reservation. Not a place for keeping teenage girls occupied with any type of downtown.

Perfect Stump Pass Beach Retreat
Ladies if you have never taken a solo trip to the beach you are missing out, Stump Pass Place Resort was the perfect place for my best beach vacation ever. The location is a short walk to Stump Pass State Park and if you have ever found yourself waiting for a parking space to open up there you can really appreciate that. The resort itself has lush landscaping, onsite parking, cute outdoor showers, bicycles, kayaks, beach chairs, Umbrellas, wagons to haul everything you need for the beach including a cooler. They have thought of everything you might need to enjoy your stay. The one-bedroom suite with an open kitchen, dining, and living room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet at night. I really enjoyed the use of the kayaks in the bay and down to the tip of Stump Pass State Park. I spent every day at the park and the entrance fee of $3.00 is well worth it even if you round up beccause you don't have single dollars. I highly recommend Stump Pass Place Resort and look forward to coming back in the future. The second best part of my trip was not having to worry about a schedule, what is for dinner, and when will you be back? Solo travel is rolling with whatever you feel like doing that day, I choose to hunt for sharks' teeth, kayak, and spend the day on the beach enjoying nature.

The property overall was nice. However, if you intend to stay in and cook, the kitchen is not very well equipped. Also, the TV and Internet, which are satellite based, didn't function well during cloudy and rainy weather. It was wonderful to have bikes, beach chairs and kayaks provided.

Spoke with maintenance because shower was set to not get hot, dish network spotty
Definitely take a firestick or Roku if u want to watch consistent tv. We stayed during NFL playoffs and Dish didn’t have games on.., we watched on our firestick. Property nice, Suite 2 is where we stayed and back patio is definitely more private.

Paradise in a Rental
My boyfriend I came to get away from the bitter January Indiana cold, and absolutely loved our stay.
The location is perfect as it’s away from the busy restaurants/main beach area and closer to the state park. With that being said, it’s a short drive and an easy bike ride to get to the main beach, restaurants and shops. We especially appreciated the kayaks, beach chairs, bikes, sand castle building supplies, beach cart, etc. Manasota Key has been a favorite place of mine to visit, and this rental made it all the more enjoyable.

The property was nice, very clean and easy to find. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place to others. It is a bit of a walk to the beach. We did take advantage of the wagon, chairs and umbrella they have available for use.

Manasota Key with red tide
The property was clean and easy to find. However I think the parking sign could be a little bigger or more clearly marketed. Each suite has a marked spot and it took a little looking to find ours.
We selected this property bc of all the extras they offered - unfortunately we stayed during red tide season, being from the Midwest, we didn’t know a thing about red tide, so we weren’t able to make use of most of the gear.
We headed up to siesta and lido beach which were only about an hour drive north.
And did use the community pool a couple of days - very nice!
They provided a limited number of bath towels, but do offer the use of their washer/dryer on site.
Dishes, pots/pans and utensils etc, but no spices, sugar, or anything of that sort provided- it’s a bit hard to find small containers of things like this and than have to pitch them at the end of your stay - it just feels very wasteful.
The water pressure was low, I’m not sure if this is the norm, they did have a plumber out before our check in- could have been for this or a different issue, I’m not sure.
The A/C worked like a gem.
I think it’s always nice if a guide or suggestions are left for travelers- and I would have loved for input on activities inland since the red tide was bad.
Other than that - it was very much like staying in a clean motel.

Nice, quiet location with excellent beach access
We really enjoyed our stay! The amenities (kayaks, boogie boards, etc.) were really nice to have. The location so close to the state park was especially good. We missed having some of the other "leftover" stuff that we have had with other rentals, such as sugar, coffee filters, etc. Just be prepared to take a trip to Publix for coffee supplies.

We stayed in Unit 2. The unit and complex were clean and had everything that we needed for a comfy fun vacation. I really enjoyed all the toys and beach items ready for use, including umbrellas, chairs, sand toys and a wagon. We are already talking about staying again later this year!
