About this cottage rental
The newly renovated American style barn house is discreetly nestled in the secluded tranquil grounds of Birdwood Park Estate, a small seventeen acre hobby farm bound by Balingup Brook on three sides and the Avenue of Honour on the fourth. Stunning views of the surrounding rolling hills and brook are complimented by the impressive oak trees. Despite the quiet rural ambience guests are only a very short stroll from the centre of the Balingup village.
With so many exciting south west tourist locations all within an hours drive from Balingup this makes the farm stay a perfect base from which to explore the magic of the district or just as a place to unwind and enjoy the pace of rural life.
The Barn House has three comfortable bedrooms which can accommodate up to six people, an open plan living area with potbelly stove heating and a fully equipped kitchen. A barbeque is available for guests on the private out-door sitting area.
Toast, cereal and fruit for breakfast are supplied as part of the tariff however free range eggs and seasonal farm fresh produce also may be available for an additional fee.

We had a lovely weekend getaway. The property was clean and cosy, and in a whisper quiet location, but super close to town and the Golden Valley Tree Park that we'd come to see.
Mary and Nye are fabulous hosts. So many thoughtful extras were supplied like tea, coffee, cereals, homemade sourdough bread, butter and jam, milk etc etc.
The linen on the beds was lovely, and the electric blankets and pot belly were a welcome addition as the night temperatures were very cool.
Loved our stay and will definitely return.

The accommodation was comfortable and everything there that you needed. The owners were welcoming and added a few personal touches - delicious sourdough bread and eggs from their farm. a very enjoyable stay.

The whole family enjoyed their stay here. The kids loved visiting the animals and feeding the goats. Milk, jam, fresh eggs & home made bread are the perfect touches provided. A wonderful clean, cosy place to stay with beautiful views within walking distance to town. The owners are welcoming, friendly and great communication.

Wonderful family getaway
Mary was a wonderful host. Our kids loved interacting with the animals and having a warm fire to come home at night to. It is a beautiful property! In the fresh made bread on arrival made it even more special.

Quiet perfect location
The accommodation is a great size. The kitchen is fantastic.
The beds and bedding are of great quality.
The views of the surrounding area are great.
The owners, Mary and Ney are very friendly and were happy to explain about their property. They did make us feel very welcome.
The property is located very near to the center of Balingup. It is only a short walk.
We look forward to come back.

social isolation with style
The property is in a perfect and peaceful location but still only two minutes drive from Balingup. The owners are lovely and the sheep, goats, chickens and ducks very friendly. Perfect getaway.

Quiet rural stay
We were met with fresh baked bread and eggs from the chooks, Nye and Mary are great hosts and we would happily stay again. Mark Kim Michael and Scott.

We enjoyed our short stay to visit family in the area. A lovely peaceful location, well maintained property and great service from the hosts.

wonderful hosts; delightful cottage
For us, the cottage was ideal. A simple but pleasant construction, especially on the inside. Lovely setting and convenient location. Our hosts were friendly and made extra effort to welcome us and make our stay pleasant.
My only critical comment is that the Stayz app did not work well. I would have expected to be able to obtain the key lock code from the app. Also, the 'directions' link to Google maps gave an entirely false suggestion of how to get to Birdwood Park Estate. It would also help if our hosts could place a sign just across the bridge pointing to their location.

Tranquil
Loved our night in Balingup. The cottage was very clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Everything was so easy and smooth. Eggs from resident chickens and home grown fruit were waiting for us. Oh and did I mention there was warm, home baked bread handed to us on arrival!!! Thank you

Already looking forward to our next visit
We loved our return visit to the lovely Birdwood Park Estate Farm Stay. Mary and Nye warmly welcomed us back to their property, greeting us with freshly baked bread which was absolutely delicious. The farm house was yet again beautifully clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The thoughtful touches of the hot water bottles and electric blankets were appreciated. I couldn’t recommend this stay highly enough.

Homely & cozy
We had a fantastic stay & the dogs loved it too. Such a great place to relax & go for some beautiful picturesque walks.
The place was lovely & clean with everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
The freshly baked bread was a real treat and the potbelly fire keep the whole place lovely & warm. Couldn’t of asked for a better stay.

Magical long weekend away
Thank you Mary and Nye for having us at your lovely farm stay. The four of us had such a relaxing time enjoying the beautiful surroundings of your farm. Your a great baker too Mary, the homemade hot cross buns and jam were a huge hit - thank you.
The kids adored the ducks, chickens and having the freedom to explore.
The farm house was so clean and provided us with everything we needed.
We loved the pot belly of the evening, along with the hot water bottles Mary provided us for the kids.
The suggested walk you gave us was such a lovely way to end our long weekend.
We would love to visit again soon.
