Special memories

We honeymooned here 30 yrs ago. Great decision to enjoy the hospitality and charm of this relaxing, welcoming space. Erwin met us as we came in, showed us all we needed to know about the facilities and on hearing it was our anniversary swiftly returned with a complimentary bottle of fizz. Bed was super comfy, room very clean and well equipped to cook if you wanted to, and little extras in the bathroom like spare toothbrushes.

Nothing our hosts could do about this, but due to unseasonably warm weather and dry conditions, we couldn't have a romantic fire in the wood burning stove. Next time

The hospitality offered was really great and we felt like there was nothing the hosts would not have done to make our stay exceptional. Communication was excellent and the room really tastefully done. They had thought of everything. We will definitely return in a different season to experience the woodfire. Thank you for a great stay.

A relaxing stay in a stunning natural setting

We really appreciated the kindness and attention of the owners. There are only three rooms, thus ensuring complete tranquility. A tasteful design and decor were employed throughout the rooms, and only quality products were used.

A great place to make a base camp for exploring Balingup, Bridgetown, Manjimup, Greenbushes

The serenity

The serenity of the location was so restful, sitting outside on the verandah, with paddock and bushland in view helped us really relax. Inside was just as beautiful; tastefully furnished and decorated with everything you could need for a night or a week. Wonderfully comfortable beds, good shower and we'll equipped kitchen. A great place to stay.

beautiful and stylish design, peaceful location and the indoor fire was a nice treat. although not having a full kitchen, the electrical cooking equipment worked a treat to prepare your own breakfast and dinner

Great stay which was definitely value for money.

The room was very well designed and a lot of detail given to the design of the room. The fire pit with the supplied marshmallows was a nice added touch The owners were very welcoming and gave some great details of the area.

Fantastic adventure

My car broke down and they offered to pick me up in balingup without asking and then offered to take me to Donnybrook to meet with my lady love at the pub . What a beautiful place and people. Good chats. Definitely have nothing bad to say and most definitely would love to stay again

We had such a relaxing time, and cant wait to go back.

This was a last minute booking over a long weekend, we got very lucky to secure a place down south and everything was booked so we were sceptical, HOW WRONG WE WERE! These suites have been fully renovated and are located in a quite picturesque location. The owners were absolutely wonderful, they also had great knowledge of the local activities and their recommendations were spot on. The rooms are PERFECT! The amount of detail the guys have put in was just amazing, and it was so nice to fall asleep to a wood fire. As soon as you walk through the door you can see the work been put into these rooms. We will 100% be back. Oh, and we also got to enjoy a hot tub under the stars!

In all honesty, nothing! There looks to be a new house going up in the distance so what would usually be nice green meadow is a bit of a work site! But the view is still a 9/10. No negative feedback from us, whoever books wont be disappointed.

It was a perfect way to end our weekend away. The room was well thought out and we absolutely fell in love with the property. The owner was very friendly and made a conscious effort to ensure that you have a wonderful stay.

A hidden treasure, away from the hussle and bussle of the main 'down south' holiday destinations.

The room was impeccable, the bed was beyond comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The most relaxing comfortable exceptional short stay , with just the most perfect hosts .

What a wonderful find . From start to finish the whole experience was exceptional. Brendan greeted us when we arrived , the room was spotlessly clean, from the beautiful comfy bed to the well equipped kitchenette and the amazing shower everything was perfect . The property is so peaceful and quiet with stunning grounds , but with in minutes of amenities. The coffee machine was an extra touch and much used . Brendan and Erwin are just about the best hosts you could hope for., nothing was too much trouble . Kimmy the beautiful woofer was an extra bonus for me as I was missing my dogs . This. is a little piece of paradise, with amazing hosts . we will return , hopefully sooner rather than later . Thank you for the most relaxing stay safe ever .

Exceptional

Cannot fault our stay at Blackwood Valley Suites . The room was immaculately clean and had everything you could want and need for a short stay. Brendan was kind enough to suggest somewhere for dinner the night we stayed and breakfast the next morning, the suites are also just a short drive to the General Store in Balingup if you need any supplies. The suites are so peaceful and quiet, we had a truly relaxing stay here. Netflix on the TV and WiFi in the room were a bonus too!

Great accommodation for a very relaxing weekend getaway.

Recently renovated and the rooms are very stylish. Lot's of modern features, wireless phone charging, coffee pod machine. Really comfortable bed. The shower was also great.
