House is set up wonderfully for families. Once everyone is done with the fun and sun, the house holds any ambient noise down, making sleep a dream.

Beachwalk was a perfect property for our family vacation. The house was clean and layout worked perfectly for our family. The property manager was extremely responsive and resolved a minor issue quickly. The location was amazing with a short walk to the beach, beach club, shops, and dining in Seaside. Highly recommend!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Beachwalk. The house itself has much architectural interest and we especially liked the widow’s walk for happy hour and nightcaps and the screened in porch and upstairs patio. The location was an easy walk to the beach or to wine world. To access camp watercolor, we used the trolley or bikes. We gave a 4-star rating because of a musty smell in the entrance area and one of the downstairs bedrooms (which faces front door). The bathroom for that same room had no odors thankfully. We put out baking soda in the entryway and it seemed to help absorb the smell. Additionally, the room with bunk beds was a bit warmer for sleeping and thus we had to turn down the temperature of the a/c to be comfortable but that meant the lower level bedrooms were freezing cold. Perhaps the owner could consider an extra wall a/c unit for the bunk room. The refrigerator water filter needed replacement and I called the management company early in on our stay. They put it on their list for maintenance but the filter did not get replaced during our weekly stay. That was unfortunate since we try to avoid water bottles and could have just used our own water bottles. The house could use a bit of updates (coffee table drawer has a significant corner chip, tile in one standing shower downstairs is old/cracked and appears to be patched up only, and bunk room has dated dresser.). I would suggest garment armoires if the owner wants to use the closets for personal owner storage). Still quaint home and we did not let these matters to get in the way of enjoying our overall stay.

We were excited to go somewhere new for spring break and more excited that we were able to rent this house. The house is nice, but we had our share of issues. There was a smell in the entry level floor that I couldn’t put my finger on - almost like my Gramma’s house when I was a kid. And the smell followed us home. Since it was cooler we opened the windows to get some fresh air. Screens were not properly in the windows and most had huge holes in them. The master bedroom shutters were almost all broken so it was difficult to let some sunshine in. The outside seating was covered in pollen - which I know cannot be controlled - but it looked like there was no attempt to even try to clean it up. The crows nest had garbage from the previous guests. I would guess that the homeowner uses this property often, which is awesome, but there is little storage for renters, most of the cabinets were locked in the master closet and bathroom. I think we had a total of 10 hangers between 6 guests. A random water sensor alarm kept on going off throughout the day and night - we contacted the property manager and ended up unplugging it and putting it in the laundry room. There is also a large feral cat population - they like to talk to each other at night. It would have been nice if there was some kind of welcome packet - like how to use the TV (3 different remotes), map of the area, suggestions for restaurants, things to do, etc. I would recommend that you bring dish soap and hand soap because it was not provided. We ended up buying dishwasher detergent because we couldn’t find that either. The resort itself is beautiful and so was the beach. The property manager was great and very responsive. And as a first, he stopped by to introduce himself on our arrival day. It was a nice touch! Of all the houses we’ve rented over years this one is near the bottom of the list.
