lovely staff who helped us at any opportunity, the breakfast made for us was delicious. the pool and gardens are beautiful and a great place to relax after a busy day in Saigon. the location is very local and would be good for those wanting to experience non touristy vietnam, the neighbourhood was also safe and it was relatively easy to find food and stores like 7/11 for water.
the shower pressure wasn’t great but did the job. the room heats up quick in the Saigon heat but when you get the aircon or fans (which are quite loud )working the room is comfortable.

The home stay is a little paradise in the city. The pool and communal areas are great, Kim is an amazing host who will help with anything you need and we liked the location being out of the tourist area. The room was comfortable and the shower is amazing.
Only personal preference - the mattress and pillows were a little firm for my liking.

Wonderful stay at I Am Saigon. Kim is very helpful and the place is amazing. Little out of the city center to get the perfect calm and authentic neighbourhood that we are looking for when travelling. Clean, cozy and great pool to refresh after a hot day in Saigon.

the experience of living here is amazing.
it is a typical 5 floors house in saigon.
many beautiful trees and flowers. if you love swimming you will enjoy the outdoor swimming pool just in the yard or you can just dip in the water, it is really refreshing.
the room is quite nice with a small balcony and the decorations are quite vietnamese style. the staff are so friendly and helpful. the smiles are alway on thier faces. they offer amazing breakfasts. you can cook here by yourself if you like. they provide all the kitchen stuff and facilities you need. there are washing mashines dryers and fridge on the ground floor. by the way you will have a small fridge in your own room. there is a spacious common area near the pool with many tables and chairs and flowers. you can have meals or get together with friends there. they have some long-term tenants and some visitors all around the world. most of them are Europeans. they are teachers engineers even artist. one of them has been living there more than 4 years. you will be really into the wonderful sceneries amazing breakfasts and international and multicultural atmosphere. sometimes i feel that i just come back to my university life in sweden. i met some old friends and i knew some new friends. we shared food drinks and interesting experiences. we went to the street market the local restaurants and cafes. it is really incredible. you should go there. sometimes KIm the landlady give dinner parties, you must go you will never regret. oh there is a small library and a fitness room the ground floor just near the pool. if you want to go somewhere. you can ask the staff or the tenant in the house ask a grab(motorcycle or private car) for you. the prices are reasonable. ok

Communication with the Host was easy and fast ! She was delightful ! The breakfast was amazing and the staff were just wonderful! The pool is beautiful and it’s like being in an Oasis. I look forward to going back !!

We loved the greenery everywhere, the pool, the traditional Vietnamese breakfasts and the lovely staff. It felt very homely, which was delightful after the craziness of HCM city streets. Kim was very helpful with helping us plan our visit to the Mekong Delta and suggesting we use Grab for getting around. She directed us to the amazing bird cafe and antique cafe to fill in some time on our last morning. We thoroughly enjoyed both of these places. We would never have known about them without Kim’s suggestion.
We felt like we were quite a way from the centre of the city, but this was compensated for by being in a quieter location and closeness to the airport, so it really wasn’t much of an issue.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. A little oasis in a hustling city. Room was beautiful and the bed was beyond comfortable. The pool was a lovely little reprieve during the hot day! Kim's English is fantastic and she is so helpful and welcoming. All the proceeds from this hotel go to an orphanage.

Once I found this place through booking.com , I didn't believe that this kind of place with such a wonderful review does exist; so I decided to give it a try.. and it is as exceptional as it says!
The place is a home far away from home. The owner is just like a family member of me. She even gave me a recommendation of a wonderful place to eat, or just for coffee. The room is awesome comfy. The staff is super helpful. In one word: "I found my place."
Surely, I will come back here again.

Oasis in vibrant Saigon! The rooms look clean, stylish, and modern. Additionally, the breakfast is very nice and freshly made for you. Above all, the staff is super helpful, provides recommendations and aims to make your stay as pleasant as possible!
The location is fine, the neighborhood is safe and offers a wide range on restaurants or cafés. Bear in mind, that it’s about 10-20 Min (depending on traffic) away from the touristic hotspots in District 1. Nonetheless, for a couple of days it is super fine to commence via Grab.

Every breakfast we have had were delicious and generous. Staff very friendly. The owner Kim was careful and very helpful for reservations to come and anything else. Room, swimming pool and common spaces very clean. City bus near hotel that bring you directly to downtown. I recommand this place, it was a perfect stay.

Everything was great. I started my Vietnam journey in Saigon and Kim's place was the perfect location to do so. The accomodation is really nice and feels like a calm oasis in this large city. Kim and her team are super friendly and always happy to help out!

First impressions - amazing use of space and a great meet and greet.
Breakfast - excellent, very fresh and different each day
Laundry service - free and done for you, which is just great!
Location - whilst not the most central location, the host got us taxi's as we couldn't use the grab App as we only had a local electronic sim! We also used Google maps and the local bus, which is very cheap and reliable! So I didn't find location as issue at all.

Whilst we did love our stay I feel it necessary to talk about what we didn't like. This place doesn't know what it wants yo be! It's guests are mainly young English teachers who actually live there medium to long term, so it's their home! We felt a bit like we were staying in their house. They are young, and with that came lots of night time noise, and socialising with friends not guests of the homestay right under our window until 2am on a couple of occasions.
I expect young people to be noisy, it's normal, but I felt at the cost to other guests. This is because the place is mixed with different types of guests, and doesn't really have a true identity.
This mixed with a very hard uncomfortable bed equaled a major lack of sleep for me!
However, we did still enjoy our booking, but I feel this feedback is necessary for mid age guests, where noise might be an issue.

The homestay is a beautiful oasis in the middle of Ho-Chi-Minh City. We really enjoyed the pool and the nice common areas to relax and have a break from the busy city lifes. The staff is very friendly and prepared the best breakfast for us with typical vietnamese dishes. We felt very welcomed :)
If you plan to also meet other travellers and meet new people this is the perfect place for you.

Check In was very convenient. Mrs Kim was very friendly and a great host.
The place offers free laundry service and also included a hot breakfast in the morning. You also have unlimited water supply.
Its located in a friendly neighbourhood with a cafes and restaurant in this area.
Rooms were a bit small, but totally fine for our 4 night stay. The bed is very basic and a bit squeaky.
The room had a lot of ants in the bath as well as in the bathroom.

Kim and her staff are amazing and treated us very well during our stay. Right from the beginning, Kim greeted us and was attentive to our interests and wishes. She gave us a lot of useful direction regarding the places we wanted to visit. Breakfast, which was both homemade and different each morning, was delicious! A really great start to the day. One thing that is important to know is that this is not a traditional hotel. Most residents are intermediate to long-term ex-pats. The hotel units are separate and fine. Also, IamSaigon Homestay does not have a traditional hotel-like location on a main street. IamSaigon is pretty much in the middle of a local neighborhood - we liked that. There are many restaurants nearby. You can really get a feel for the city. All members of our family - two daughters included - would be enthusiastic about staying here again.

This is an amazing space and the common areas are spectacular - the pool was perfect for our kids to cool off each day. Great traditional Vietnamese breakfast, with fantastic coffee! The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Excellent shower with super hot water. Lots of WiFi (although a bit unstable)
Beds are good quality, but it’s an extremely firm mattress. Too firm for us. The noise from the courtyard late at night on a few occasions made it difficult for our kids to sleep well. There were also some other strange squeaking sounds that come through the wall (from people using the hammock downstairs).

Kim and her staff are the most lovely people you’ll meet! The rooms are big, modern and clean. The common are is very nice with a common kitchen, chill zone and fitness. The location is ideal as it’s in a little quite back street with lovely cafe’s around. I would 100% recommend and can’t wait to come back here!!

What Kim created there is beyond simple hostel management. You can tell she loves it, and makes sure that you do too.

Iamsaigon is the perfect place to stay if your visiting Ho Chi Minh. The place is kept very clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is provided each morning which is a local Vietnamese dish - fresh and delicious! there is also a pool which is the perfect spot to lounge around by and cool off. Would 10/10 recommend
