We stayed here for a week in August and enjoyed the convenient location & tranquil back yard. You can walk or bike to town in minutes for dinner, shopping, or to board the Chappy ferry. The secluded back yard was nicely landscaped and a perfect spot for morning coffee. The outdoor shower was handy to rinse off sand after a beach day. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very helpful. We would visit again!

We had a great week in this well-appointed home in Edgartown. We enjoyed the outdoor space a lot, including the grill, patio, and especially the outdoor shower - so peaceful. A great location for walking to Lighthouse Beach and to downtown.

We have rented in MV every summer for the past 14 years and this house is at the top of our list. The location can’t be beat. The majority of our dinner reservations were at Edgartown restaurants and we could easily walk to them without the hassle of traffic and parking. The house is a 5-7 min leisurely walk into the center of Edgartown. Our teenage girls could easily walk into Edgartown anytime they wanted. We could stroll in for coffee or breakfast at Among the Flowers. Lighthouse beach is a 10 min walk. Most mornings I drove onto the Chappy ferry (2 blocks to the ferry line) and took our dog for our early morning walks on Wasque. We spent our beach days on Chappy driving on the beach with endless gorgeous coastline and privacy. The house was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the split units kept the house at a comfortable temperature. We loved the outdoor shower and cute fenced in backyard. Howard is an excellent host and is very easy to communicate with. I have the highest recommendations for this adorable home. Thank you for sharing it Howard!

House is beautiful- well stocked and clean. Beds were very comfortable as well as the couch in living room. Great location to walk into town or beach. Even the fenced in yard and outdoor shower were well maintained and beautiful. Howard was very accommodating considering our mishap of not bringing linens. Would definitely rent again!

This charming cottage was very cozy and well appointed. It was the perfect location for strolling around downtown Edgartown, taking the ferry to Chappy, and exploring the island (with parking!). The backyard was very private and we enjoyed eating outside. The kids all loved the bunk beds and darling twin room. The outdoor shower was also a hit, and the shed had beach chairs and boogie boards. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

As others have written, this is a charming house, and a very personal one. The ship models, the pewter, the local paintings, the old wooden floors—all add character and a sense of place. The house is obviously greatly loved and is well taken care of. It is attractively furnished and well equipped, and it has an exceptional layout, with lots of privacy. The back garden is a very pleasant place, and we found many toys in the shed for our toddler to enjoy. The location of could hardly be improved upon. The owner was exceptionally responsive and helpful, by the way. This is a house that I would gladly stay in for a few nights or for the entire summer, if only I could!

You can't get a better location than this house! Just a few scenic blocks to Edgartown or the beach--extremely walkable. Rent bikes and leave them parked in the very secure back yard. The house is AMAZING! It exudes charm at every corner, but it is modern where it needs to be. The kitchen is perfect for making some family meals when you don't want to go out. Bedrooms are spacious and nicely decorated with comfortable beds. Living Room has a large L-shaped couch perfect for watching movies at night with the family. The house is in pristine condition. Everything was spotless, in good working order, and neat. We would definitely stay here again!

What a sweet, cozy place to stay, right in the heart of Edgartown! The house was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The beautiful backyard was a great place to read or share a glass of wine. The outdoor shower was wonderful, looking up at that beautiful tree overhead. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this house to any of my friends.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this wonderful house in Edgartown. It’s the perfect location with town just a five-minute walk in one direction and Fuller beach in the other direction. Howard, the owner, is very nice and helpful and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. We highly recommend this house and will be back!

Howard's cottage was beautifully maintained and just steps from the middle of Edgartown. We sampled all the ice cream shops and enjoyed evenings out at the restaurants that were just steps from the door. Communication was top notch. The new outdoor shower was wonderful after a day out at South Beach. We look forward to staying here again soon!

We just returned from a 3-night stay at this property. We loved the convenient location right in Edgartown (among the other lovely homes), the charm of the old home and the beautiful fenced-in, private yard. We also loved that we could have our little dog with us. Howard was excellent with communication throughout the process. We would definitely return.

We were here for a wedding at the Harbor View Hotel. Everything was within easy walking distance while still offering a tranquil setting within the cottage and the fantastic fenced garden. My family especially enjoyed the outside shower. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone planning on staying on the Vineyard,

A wonderful cottage in it's purest form. My family & I had a wonderful time at this place. Rarely used the car, given the great location. And the spaces, both indoors and outdoors, we're very inviting. Even had a cozy night watching the Bruins on the one day we had bad weather. Mostly, it was a perfect compliment to a week in Edgartown and out & about The Vineyard! We'll be back.

Howard’s home was absolutely perfect for our stay! The location can not be beat in terms of being right in town, walkable to everything in the Edgartown village. The home itself has so much character, it was exactly what we were looking for for a stay on Martha’s Vineyard. And it was completely stocked with anything you may need for your stay. Howard was an exceptional host - he gave us such detailed directions about everything in the home, as well as a ton of recommendations of things to do all around the island. His recommendation list was almost endless! Communication with him was always seamless. I would highly recommend staying at this home and would absolutely do so myself anytime I was returning to MV!

This home was perfect for our stay in Edgartown. We were able to walk everywhere - in to the shops and restaurants, to the grocery and to the beach. It was very neat and clean. The yard was fenced and private with a nice table for eating outside. The host sent several messages giving us advice and making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a wonderful trip!

We had a lovely stay at Howard"s Edgartown cottage. We enjoyed a large and comfortable family room, a spacious and private backyard and a well stocked kitchen complete with all the little do-dads you'd want to have to use but don't want to bring from home or buy (again). And all within a short 7 minute walk to the all that downtown Edgartown has to offer including shops and restaurants.
Howard was also very generous with his knowledge of all the best places to go to on the Island - from where to get the best fresh locally grown produce to the best donuts you'll ever eat to where to rent and launch a kayak:)
We certainly recommend this home for your Martha's Vineyard vacation.

Our family loved our stay. The house was very comfortable. The kids loved the outdoor shower and our dog loved the fenced in yard!
The Kitchen was modern and well equipped which made meal prep easy. The best part were the morning and evening strolls through historic Edgartown to get coffee or ice cream. 5 stars!

Charming "cottage" in Edgartown, a short walk to everything. All amenities. Great kitchen, living spaces, beds. We've tried others; this is the best.

I cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay here enough. The house itself is charming, comfortable, and extremely clean. I was surprised at how spacious the master bedroom was, and how large the house lived (4 adults, 3 small children, and 1 large dog). The owners have supplied just about every amenity you can imagine - beach toys, fully-stocked kitchen, smart tv, board games, etc. The backyard provided a wonderful oasis to relax in during the evenings. It is private, and fenced in, meaning our very young children were free to run and play while we lounged around the table. The house is at the corner of a beautiful private road we were able to take short walks down with our children. While we loved the house itself, the location is what puts it over the top. We enjoyed walking to the various Edgartown coffee shops every morning, and restaurants in the evening. Even our small children were able to manage the walk without a problem. Not having to deal with parking in Edgartown was a huge plus for us. The owner and property manager were responsive and very pleasant to deal with. We can't wait to return!

We had an IDEAL stay at this cottage. The owner is very helpful and responsive. The house layout is perfect for families or groups--we were 4 adults and one baby and we had more than enough room. The decor is cute and nautically inspired, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The back porch area is where we spent all our time--which was lovely so we could enjoy the beautiful flowers, lawn and trees in the backyard. We enjoyed the barbecue and the sitting area out there.
The location is truly fantastic. Close enough to easily walk to town, yet a little removed so you don't have everyone passing by your door. It is a lovely walk to the beach as well.
I look forward to staying here again!

This was our first home away experience and it couldn’t have been better. We had a couple of questions and the owners were beyond responsive. The home is exactly as described and the location is close to it all yet very private and quiet. We highly recommend this home and it is loaded with charm and has a beautiful backyard to relax.

Just got back from a long wedding weekend at Martha's Vineyard and staying at this wonderful home. Online pictures do not reflect the uniqueness of this home and our experience. Our friends were jealous of our great location and how close it was to the town and beach. Great price for this location! Very comfortable home and well stocked kitchen. The host Howard is easy to work with and was very available for questions. Thank you Howard for making our trip special!
