It was a really nice stay at Mi Cuartito en Bacalar.

We loved our stay in Mi Cuartito in Bacalar and we wish we could have stayed longer! The hosts were really welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was nice and well decorated. It's in a quiet area, only a short walk to the local public pier and not too far from the centre of Bacalar. We arranged to hire kayaks from the owners, who took us to the pier in their lovely beetle with the kayaks on top, and then we spent a lovely day in the blue waters of the lake. The next day we hired bicycles and cycled down to Cenote Azul. It was all so amazing.

There was nothing we didn't like.

This place is a great value and the family who runs it are very sweet.

I don't think that breakfast was included. If it was meant to be, I did not realize it. However, I had the ability to make coffee in the morn which is important to my enjoyment of a place. The outside kitchen that we were able to use was a nice bonus. The room is inexpensive, and therefore is really meant for travelers who are accustomed to traveling on the cheap. It was a great value. it reminded me a bit of camping as the outside space made up a great portion of the shared space. Each room even had it's own assigned bathroom in the bathroom area.

The beds and pillows were very firm. The first night, we had a noisy rooster. The 2nd night, it waited until morning before singing to the day.

Cozy rooms maintained by a lovely couple

The owners are really nice. They were really helpful, took the kayaks to the waterfront for us and were very flexible in terms of checkout. The coffee corner around the corner is really nice!

Even though we expected it, a warm shower would have been nice. And they are still working on the atmosphere outside of the rooms. If they fix that, they could probably also charge a bit more.

Good

Close to the nature. Nice flowers in the garden. Easy walk to the beach and city center.

Chickens in the direct neighborhood did make huge noise starting from 1am in 30min intervals. Lots of barking dogs around and we had to fight with several moscitos. I would recommend moscito nets above the beds.

Cozy little family home

A wonderful family having two rooms for rent. Rooms have a private entrance, are cozy and comfortable. I love to stay in places like this and especially for the price we paid this place is wonderful. There's also a really good cafe just a few houses down.

A spider web really close to one bed and the shower didn't have warm water. I mention these so that other guests know, but honestly we enjoyed our stay a lot.

It's very good accommodation, the room was spacious and clean. The host was very accommodating when we arrived in Bacalar a bit early and checked us in any way. Very close to Bacalar centre The property is very nice and retains a kind of character in line with the style of the village that in 3 years since my last visit as changed a lot. I loved the local market

Beautiful and warm atmosphere

The place is very colorful with green plants and beautiful murals. The family who runs the place is very sweet and hospitable. It’s a sincere place to be.

We really enjoyed our stay there! The owners are super nice, they even have 2 kayaks which we could borrow. Location is pretty close to the center as well. Super tranquilo place, loved it :)

spacious and charming room with two double comfortable beds. traveling with my mum, we felt sleeping like queens :) there is space in the garden to picnic. the private bathroom although outside the room is clean and nice. walking distance to a public swimming dock; beautiful spot to observe the sunrise ( the location isn’t totally central, so you better choose the cuartito if you enjoy walking around) Extremely welcoming and kind hosts!

Amazing hospitallity and very nice room and area.

it was very nice accomadation. The rom was clean and comfortable, room and area around the house was nice local decorated. The hosts offered to us an umbrella beacouse the dai was rainy. What is big plus - we could use kayaks - for free! The hosts were very nice and helpfull, area was queiet - if you do not count animals - but Bacalar is a village and it has additional valeu for us. We recoomend this house - we spent there 2 nights :)

The location to house could be have beter signs, but finnally we found the place. very close to lagoon

Excellent value for money

The kindness of the owners 😍 The cleanness of the room. Privacy and independancy, you have your own keys! The private bathroom with hot shower! Good location Excellent value for money

Internet was very slow most of the time. One day it wasn't working at all. Maybe this is everywhere the same in Bacalar, not sure.

Superb

Our host was very helpful, the room had two comfortable beds. Sweet area for eating outside and the bathrooms were nicely made. Bathrooms are a short walk through the garden, and each room has its own private bathroom. It’s a 30 peso ride from the town in a taxi. Overs we found it to be great value and had a good stay.

Friendly staff. Rustic vibes. reasonable value for money.

Location of private bathroom outside up gentle slope was a bit of a pain to be honest. We had hoped it was in our room when we booked.

Fabulous

Great value accomodation. Clean, comfortable room with private outside bathroom/shower. 10-15 minute walk from both the main square and ADO bus terminal; just a 5 minutes from the lagoon and a place to swim. Lovely hosts.
