About this cabin rental
Settle in to this lakefront cabin, launch your small boat and cast a rod to land a hefty rainbow or brown trout from the front yard, stroll among the aspen, and have quick access to the legendary splendor of Glacier National Park. Guests are a mere 20 minutes from the Park, as both the Many Glacier and St. Mary’s entrances invite visitors to explore the wonders of the Crown of the Continent. Hikers will find that the perfect Glacier Park trail is near. The area has been a fishing haven for us, and it is near to well over a dozen lakes and rivers, each of which has abundant trophy-class trout.
The cabin is a perfect home away from home. Large windows showcase the lake. You’ll find 3 bedrooms, which include 2 main-level bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a loft bedroom (2 queen beds). A large bathroom, with a shower, is located on the main level. Laundry facilities are on-site. The kitchen is well-appointed with basic cooking supplies, a large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and range/oven. A barbecue on the front deck is the perfect place from which to enjoy the lake view. The living room has a TV for watching DVDs, a video library, board games, and a gas fireplace.
The area is wild and scenic, but also offers many convenient amenities. There are several restaurants, a gas station, and grocery store within a 15 minute drive of the cabin.
There are few things in the world more satisfying than an escape to one of Montana’s favorite treasures; wildlife and scenic vistas abound. Whether your spirit calls you to wander from your cabin or you’d like to settle in and gaze at the scenery from the ample covered deck, you’ll find your happiness here. The perfect vacation calls you to Duck Lake.
We do not supply bear spray, previous guests sometimes leave bear spray. Verizon is the only service in this area. Internet is Star Link, being remote does have a slower connection. More users tends to slow down service.
Special accommodations for extra guests or fewer nights of rental are negotiable.

We had a great stay at Larry and Linda's cabin. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Close proximity to Many Glacier entrance to GNP. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed for our family vacation. We enjoyed the porch and the kids loved Alice the cat.

The place was clean with a beautiful view of the lake. We had everything we needed and enjoyed getting ready for our wedding at Glacier National Park. Very friendly and hospitality hosts.

The house on Duck Lake was a very serine property, and in an excellent location for visiting all the locations on the east side of Glacier National Park. The neighborhood was very calm and quiet, and the hosts were very friendly when we reached out to them.

This cozy home had everything we needed for a comfortable and lovely stay. The cabin is the perfect location for exploring east Glacier (especially Many Glacier). The owners are so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to the area.

The property, location and hosts were perfect, couldn’t be any better.

Cozy place to stay with friends while we explored the East side of Glacier National Park

We stayed for 5nights in May ,2024. We enjoyed the proximity to the East entrances to Glacier National Park- perhaps 30 minutes to Many Glacier or St Mary’s. The three bedrooms , full kitchen and back porch overlooking Duck Lake were perfect when we came back from a day of hiking or driving. Linda and Larry are wonderful hosts and Alice and her big brother dog, Fluffy, who live next door made occasional friendly visits. I think that made the stay EVEN BETTER! The home is built with a modern lodge flair and cleaned perfectly. The 1 hour trip up to Canada’s Waterton Park is also very convenient and worth the day trip. I’d stay here again upon visiting the area. East side is so much less congested than west side. Apple Maps directs you well. Google maps gets a little confused.

Linda and her husband were great hosts and the house couldn’t have been better for our trip to Glacier National Park. Just a 20-30 drive to East side entrances. The house looked just liked it was photographed. Plenty of kitchen supplies for evening dinner cooking. We appreciated the bear spray available for use (luckily went unused) and the hospitality of the hosts. Added bonus with the house was the frequent visits of their feline friend, who was sweet as can be, anytime we were outside enjoying the lake views. Highly recommend this location to anyone!

Cabin was great! Perfect location on the lake and close to the east entrance of Glacier. Cabin had all the amenities (including visits from Alice the next door cat!). Wasn't a huge option for restaurants but 2 Sisters Cafe was excellent - great menu and even better service (lunch & dinner only)! The Leaning Tree had a fantastic breakfast. Local markets were close for buying food to cook at the house. Highly recommend this place!!

Really loved the location of this cabin. Took about 25 minutes to get to Many Glacier. Cabin was clean and beds were comfortable. Wish there was a little more room to sit in the family room, especially with room in the house for 8. Maybe get rid of the chair and small table and do another sofa or L shaped sofa. We had 7 and one bathroom wasn't an issue. Loved the deck. The water was very soft and had a sulphur smell, hard to feel clean and even harder to drink. Not an owner issue since I'm sure that is just the area, but probably bring your own water to drink. Food in the area is an issue. We liked the pizza place and Two Sisters but everything is so expensive, especially groceries. So if you can, bring your own. Would stay here again. Owners were great and responsive.

Linda and Larry were delightful hosts...joined us on the deck twice for lovely conversation and happy hour! Their property is lovely...just like them! House was great for our family of 6. Great access to East Glacier area!

Everything was great. Just as it was described.

Very clean and perfect spot to rest after hiking the east side of Glacier National Park. Owners live next door and are super awesome. Sunrises are great over the lake. You’re 10 min from many glacier entrance and 20 min to st Mary entrance. I can’t express enough the importance it is to stay here or close to here to experience Glacier National Park.
Those that want the amenities of of posh resort—-you’ll be a tad disappointed. Those that love accessibility to maybe the greatest park in the US, then this is your spot.
Thank you so much for offering your rental to us. It was perfect!!!

We enjoyed our stay on Duck Lake. The peace and quiet was appreciated as well as breakfast and dinner on the porch with the lake as a backdrop. Four queen beds was an amazing perk and our kids loved the loft area. We watched a couple of their DVDs on the evenings we came back from the parks early as well. The proximity to both Many Glacier and St. Mary entrances was convenient. Thanks for the beautiful space and hospitality!

Great rental home, great location, homeowner Linda and her husband were great, exceptionally clean and well kept, very comfortable, also had added wifi availability in the property that had not been updated on VRBO listing site which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend. Would stay there again without hesitation. Thanks Linda!

We had a great time! Everything was perfect. We loved our greeting from Alice every morning (cat). The house had everything we needed and more. The owners were wonderful. Great location.

Cabin is perfectly located for visiting the East side of Glacier National Park, just a short drive to both the St. Mary and Many Glacier entrances. Larry and Linda are wonderful hosts, welcoming and responsive to inquiries while also respectful of guest privacy. Alice, the cat, greeted us every morning on the back deck and welcomed us home every evening after a day of hiking. She is the sweetest little being. Cabin had everything we needed, including comfortable beds and lots of hot water. We cooked most evenings with the exception of two dinners out, one at Many Glacier Hotel and another at Two Sisters. Have stayed in Babb before so knew to shop in West Glacier before arriving at the cabin. WiFi and cell service were both unreliable during our stay and frustrating at times but we knew this ahead of time. Television service was also interrupted on occasion but Netflix was great and the cabin also has lots of DVDs. Fireplace kept us warm on cool evenings. Setting is beautiful and tranquil. View of the lake is stunning in the morning and at sunset. Had sun, rain, and snow all in one week. Saw plenty of wildlife in the park during our stay, including moose, big horn sheep, mountain goats, and a remarkable close encounter with a grizzly bear. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Linda, Larry, and Alice!

Linda was very nice and came over to say hello after we arrived. Property was very clean and the house was great. We appreciated the wifi and tide pods that were provided so we could do some laundry. Everything was great and I would not hesitate to book the property for a future stay.

Wonderful stay at the cabin for 3 of us! Woke up to swans on the lake and enjoyed breakfast on the deck. Minutes from Many Glacier where we hiked daily. Came home to comforts of the cabin and grilled dinner. Double rainbow magic over duck lake was truly spectacular. Thank you Larry and Linda!!!

Great access to GNP.
A bit of a challenge to cook for 7 in the kitchen, but the deck space for dining was lovely and made it all worthwhile.

We had a great stay at Duck Lake and the location near both the Many Glacier and St Mary’s entrances was great! We had 7 people, 3 of which were teenagers, and it was challenging cooking for our group given the size of the kitchen/dining area. The beds were nice, the setting was peaceful, and our daughter enjoyed visits from Alice the cat. Larry was very responsive when we needed more paper towels and soap. We never ran out of hot water. Overall it was really great but our group of 7 felt a little too cozy at times.

The property was amazing! The pictures do not do the property and the location justice. Larry and Linda were fabulous hosts. My son and daughter fished right off the shore. My son caught three beautiful trout. My daughter caught her first fish ever - a large rainbow trout. We spent hours enjoying the views, watching the magpies, pelicans and we even saw one osprey. The wind would pick up and make a beautiful sound as it flowed through the many trees on the property. It was relaxation at its finest. The property is a quick 20 minutes to Many Glacier, where we saw two bull moose and spent over an hour watching a young female grizzly from the safety of our car.
Alice the cat would visit us often and is a very sweet cat. We enjoyed her company!
We hope to stay at this beautiful cabin again one day. It was the perfect home away from home! Thank you Larry and Linda for sharing your property with us!

Beautiful place close to Many Glacier
Roomy very nice place right on Duck Lake. Beds were comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful view of lake from deck and yard. Good wifi, lots of dvds to use. Owners live right next door so were there quickly to fix any issues.

We loved our stay! Plenty of room for a family of 5 to spread out and relax. The porch overlooking the lake was lovely in the early mornings and evenings. Convenient to the Many Glacier and St. Mary’s entrances to Glacier National Park. We would definitely stay in this lovely home again!

Rocky Mountain High Montana
My overall impression of the property was excellent. Everything was as good as the pictures. It was the kind of rustic cabin one imagines in a place like Glacier. The property was conveniently located to the East end of the park (Many Glacier and St. Mary). The fact that Going to the Sun Road was closed made it difficult to access the other areas, but that's not the fault of the property. We were still able to get around to other areas, although it took longer. It is also very close to the Canadian border which made it easy for us to get to Waterton Park in Alberta where we spent 3 days following our stay at Glacier.
For those who like to eat out, Two Sisters Cafe is a very short drive and has excellent food.
The cabin itself was clean and able to accommodate 7 people which included a 13 year old. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies. We were able to access WIFI and everyone enjoyed some of the many vintage DVRs that were available.
The view of the lake was great especially for bird watchers. We even spotted a moose in the distance.
A n extra perk was a daily visit from the owners cat, Alice, about as friendly a cat as one could imagine. She was very solicitous as to our welfare.

Great accommodations near the east side of Glacier. Beautiful sunrises over Duck Lake and so peaceful to sit by the lake in the evening with a glass of your favorite beverage. Thanks Linda and Larry!
