Though located in a very private setting, this home is conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and is only about 10 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock. You will have hiking, sightseeing, and access to downtown all within a short drive.

The cabin was spacious with lots of spaces to socialize and relax. We loved the view from the main balcony and made great use of all the games (pool table, shuffle board, ping pong, air hockey, and foosball!) It was the perfect mountain retreat for three generations of family with ages ranging from 3 to 87!

Our family spent Christmas at this property and it was amazing! The home was decked out with Christmas trees, decorations, etc.
The home itself has absolutely everything you need for a family vacation. So many games, areas to relax, great views, and a brand new hot tub.
The home comes with all the essentials you need for cooking, great eating spaces for large groups (inside and outside).
We really enjoyed our stay, plenty of parking, we had 5 cars and made it work easily. All around this was a great home and we can’t wait to stay again in the future.

Absolutely Stunning!! We loved all of the different spaces for entertainment, definitely no way to be bored!! And yes the internet is not the best but you are on vacation so not a deal breaker!! It is close to everything!! The bedrooms are not on top of each other except for one in the basement so whoever wakes up first in the house put them there!! The host was very communicative! We really enjoyed our stay cant wait to be back….

Fantastic Fall Getaway!
The house is gorgeous, and all the gaming table options were amazing. There is a fantastic view, as well! The main living areas are both spacious and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are so nicely arranged--each in separate parts of the house enabling wonderful privacy. We had a fabulous time playing air hockey, pool, shuffle board, ping pong, and poker.

Seclusion
Friends and I were looking for a nice place in the mountains that was off the beaten path and this was definitely the case. Gorgeous house with nice views. We spent most of our time outside on the two upper and lower decks but also loved playing some of the game the house offered.

A Phenomenal Vacation Home!
This property was absolutely IDEAL for our family getaway in the mountains! The building itself is totally gorgeous, the views are stunning, and the amenities were perfectly suited to provide comfort and entertainment for everyone in our party, (ages 3 to 73). Hats off to the folks who invested a considerable amount of effort and expense to make sure the property is clean and well organized. Thank you for providing us with a awesome experience. This is the most spectacular vacation home we've ever rented, and we'll be looking forward to a return visit in the future.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location!!
We loved the beautiful property at scenic Watauga county! Loved the large space of the house which allowed our large group to have fun as well. Its in a rural setting but has close access to shops. The house is well equipped with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Loved that there was a crib and infant high chair. The bedrooms are all well placed and are good sized so it gave all of us enough privacy. The only thing we think the property could improve upon was the outdoor deck space. The furniture outside was dirty and didnt appear to have been cleaned in a long time! Other than that, everything was perfect!

Great stay
We had a great time without kids and in laws here for a family getaway. Kids loved the games, ping pong, air hockey, jacuzzi, and foozeball. Adults loves the views, deck, large but cozy great room. Great location for hiking. Had a great stay.

A Blessed family vacation
From Miami to boone. In the midst of a pandemic where traveling is not as common. To bond and enjoy this beautiful land that was created by God. Our family had a wonderful time. There are so many activities to do and places to visit near by. Grandfather mountain, the blowing rock and hawks nest were at the top of our list. My personal favorite was actually right behind this very cabin as we took a nature hike and followed the Dennis Creek. The experience was amazing as we were able to take in something completely different than we are accustomed to in the city life. It's a true blessing to spend quality time with the people you love. #Blessed

Pretty but NOT clean
The sheets in the master bedroom were not cleaned, or if they were they still had hair on them and the pillows smelled like sweat. The sheets to the other bedroom in the main floor also had hair on it. The sheets on the pull out sofa actually had lipstick on them and did not appear clean. the home did not appear to be properly clean there was dust and build up under the furniture all over the house. The pots and pan were so dirty that I spent a good hour trying to clean off food residue before we even used them. The dishwasher did not work. overall it is a pretty home but definitely not well maintained and it is in need of a severe cleaning. It is a beautiful location but unfortunately I would not return. It is close to different attractions and restaurants.

BEAUTIFUL WINTER GETAWAY
Blackberry Ridge was the perfect winter getaway for the entire family. The cabin was gorgeous and the view of the mountains was superb. The cabin had all the amenities you could think of. Our family really enjoyed the time we spent here. This rating would have been five stars but the only downside was the lack of consideration regarding de-icing the driveway leading to the cabin. There happened to be an ice storm at the time and as we were well aware of the weather situation and warning, it would have been nice to have at least the driveway cleared for the amount of money spent. We thank God for Jerry, his boys, and all those who helped us out of a jam. With that being said Blackberry Ridge is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Mountains of North Carolina.

Thanksgiving perfection
Absolutely stunning house, perfect for a large group or multiple families - great areas to come together and also for privacy. Perfect for kids (of all ages) with game amenities. Easy drive to both Blowing Rock and Boone. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful stay
House was absolutely stunning and every detail was very well thought out. We had the best getaway, so relaxing and feel refreshed. The location is great, and the drive up was beautiful. The only thing I could possibly recommend is getting some new, or sharper knifes. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for a much needed recharge.

The cabin was beautiful, very spacious and clean. The entertaining areas were great for kids and family. The problems was we hardly had water to shower. The water was at a trickle or light spray. The temp in the shower area were barely Luke warm. The last day no one was able to shower. I called in about this problem and the gentleman told me to run the water at a trickle. Also said the house was large and it would take time to thaw out ... like a chicken. I would have expected top notch service for the price we paid.

We enjoyed our time at Blackberry Ridge. It was a beautiful home with lots of amenities. However, the main oven was not fully functional (thank you for the refund on this)and had a great impact on our time due to the large amount of food we were preparing each day. The spare propane tank didn't work and we had to go and buy another one to finish cooking our steaks. We would like a refund for money spent for this purchase ($20). Just FYI the gutters need to be cleaned out and the sliding door in the bedroom downstairs didn't work properly. Other than these inconveniences the place was wonderful to spend several days.

We reach out on Thursday concerning Kitchen. The outlets did not work on the island and on the left side of the sink. The stove top would not ignite with switch. The oven stop working on Friday. Someone called back and assured us maintenance will be in contact. Maintenance showed up on Saturday ( day before we left) with No solutions. This was disappointing and a inconvenience trying to cook for 12.
The cabin was clean, beautiful and great location.

4 Stars for the lovely cabin, 3.5 for maintenance
Overall, our group loved the home and the views. The rooms were laid out nicely. The furniture fit the space well. The home is massive and you can totally get lost. Everyone enjoyed the game area and ping pong. We saw deer eating below us, the kids loved that! Close to everything we all wanted to be active in. However, we ran into a few problems the very first night. The air hockey table was broken by the previous guests. When I called to report it, I was on hold for 15 minutes then made to leave a message. I received a call back shortly after leaving a message. Sonya informed me that they knew about the broken air hockey table and forgot to call me. We were given a credit for non-use. The next problem was the hot tub, it was dirty with oils, cloudy and a black foam ring around the water line. They sent out maintenance the day after arrival to check chemicals, our problem was the cleanliness. Thankfully the maintenance man agreed that it should be dumped and redone. Two days without use of the hot tub was a drag but I was happy with the way it was handled. Although, we shouldn't have had to deal with that situation at all. A few other minor issues, the kitchen sink had no dishwashing liquid. I knew we'd need to pick some up but I didn't think we'd need it for the first night. One of the cutting boards was melted at the side. The kettle had leftover water that had mold inside. There was no dustpan other than the one we found in the garage that is terribly bent. The outside hanging porch lights are blown or improperly working. More towels would be a great idea. With our group at 14 we found ourselves washing towels a lot. The water pressure is great sometimes, awful whenever someone else is running water. Overall I'm giving the home a 4. If I could separate the home from maintenance under sight I'd give maintenece a 3 and the home a 5. My Husband and I have stayed in this area every summer for the last 8 years, always through a friend or VRBO, we have never encountered these issues in a vacation rental.

I first want to say, the stay was very enjoyable and the memories made there will last a lifetime. The house was beautiful. However, there were a few issues that caused concern and dissapointment. The first was the infestation of lady bugs. I am aware that it is illegal for pest control to kill them, however, there has to be some kind of sweeping technique to gather and release them outside. The number of lady bugs were overwhelming and alarming. There was one of our party highly allergic to the pherimone produced by lady bugs and had to medicate to ensure breathing at night. The only other problem was the jacuzzi, it was very dirty and full of mold. I must say this was a great disappointment, as we looked forward to relaxing to the Mountain View. We certainly enjoyed our stay and made the best of our surprise guests
(lady bugs) and the lack of jacuzzi time, and would recomend your house to others, We look forward to future stays. I hope my comments help your for future guests.

Great place for family gathering
We wanted to find a place in the mountains near Blowing Rock for a large family gathering. We had 8 adults and 3 young children. Driving up there, we talked about the concern that the place would not match the pictures, but it exceeded our expectations! The views, the amenities, the games and activities, hot tub - all was enjoyed by everyone there. The kitchen is set up well for cooking. The house is set up so that there are plenty of spaces to gather together, but each couple had separate bedroom space with private bath. A 5-star place all-around!

Beautiful View
This home is gorgeous! The rustic decor suits the home's location. The rooms are massive! Each bedroom has a bathroom, which is fantastic! The layout of the house is perfect. Two bedrooms on either end. Those bedrooms are then separated by upstairs/downstairs so everyone has privacy. Game and bar area on lower level was awesome. The only appliance missing there was a cooktop. It even has a dishwasher & ice maker. We plan to rent this home again! It was that nice.

Beautiful View
This home is gorgeous! The rustic decor suits the home's location. The rooms are massive! Each bedroom has a bathroom, which is fantastic! There were a few maintenance issues for is. The main issue was the gas stove not lighting properly. Having to light the stove with a lighter was old school & dangerous to me. After 2 days, the stove was “fixed”. Turns out there is a ground fault receptacle that had to be reset. Other issues with hot tub light not working, towel bar appeared to be on the wall, but fell off if touched. Issues were minor maintenance needed. But, the house and it's location Helped us to overlook the small stiff. The layout of the house is perfect. Two bedrooms on either end. Those bedrooms are then separated by upstairs/downstairs so everyone has privacy. Game and bar area on lower level was awesome. The inly appliance missing there was a cooktop. It even has a dishwasher & ice maker. We plan to rent this home again! It was that nice.

We enjoyed our stay, however I will list a few items that would have made our stay better:
1. Have air conditioner on and home cooled upon arrival, we were very hot the first day. Carolina Cabin were very responsive but it just took too much time to cool down.
2. There was a dishwasher full of dishes upon arrival. Didn't want to unload someone's dishes.
3. Trash cans in garage had horrible odor and made it almost unbearable to put out trash.
4. Water pressure on 2nd and bottom floor bathrooms were very low.
5. Weed eat area in driveway.
6. A larger trashcan in kitchen would be helpful for families that cook.

Blackberry Ridge
We stayed at Blackberry Ridge 8/18-8/23. The cabin is an amazing property ! We had a very nice stay and the mountains are beautiful ! There were a few minor things on the "con" list I would mention:
1- When we arrived Sunday eve we looked at hot tub , looked ok/clean , didn't try it out till Monday 8/19 morning..... The jets on the side closest to the cabin were not "bubbling" and the colored lights not working. I placed two calls to the office that Monday morning , spoke to a gentleman (forget his name) who mentioned checking the fuse box. They were fine . Called back office spoke to Felicity, she said they would investigate further.
2- We went out for the day on Monday 8/19 and it was raining that day, upon return to the cabin we noticed the wall next to ping pong table on third floor, had long "drip " marks coming from way high up by the ceiling / wood area. This may be due to the weather but I called this in to the office on Monday afternoon just to be sure office was aware. The man I spoke to was Keilan (spelling ?) who took note of it. I was asked to take pictures and send to office which I did that day, as well as the fan on third floor which was soooo loud, couldn't use it.
I asked about the hot tub "investigation" , he mentioned someone had come to cabin during the day to check hottub who said "jets fine, lights fine". Well he must have thought we meant the lights on the control panel .....yes they were fine, but not the lights in the water. We tried one more time ....nope, the jets on the one side...cabin side not working, the jets on the railing side fine. The water lights did flicker for a couple of seconds, but stayed off.
3- The jets in jacuzzi tub downstairs not working....upstairs 3rd floor jacuzzi tub were fine.
4- The air hockey table on third floor seemed a bit "sluggish" , not a great air flow for the puck to move, but doable.
5- We moved the fan from the third floor bedroom to the third floor ping pong area because the huge metal fan on the wall, was sooooooo LOUD , terrible noise. This was mentioned on the Monday afternoon phone call to Keilan as well.
Pros: Beautiful Cabin!!!!! The kitchen well stocked , the cabin is very clean, soooo much room to spread out. The pool table, and poker table were a huge hit! Process to check in and directions were very convienent. Overall , I would definitely come back and rent thru Carolina Cabins again. Thank you !
