What I expected but disappointed by rooms cleanliness and also lack of bread knife etc

Room style, location of hotel and friendly staff

Cleanliness of bathroom and safe not working as had not been checked by housekeepers prior to relate.

La ubicación es lo mejor, cerca del metro o buses y a 10m de la Estacion de tren y bus. La habitación estaba bien y la cama era muy cómoda.

El baño es muy pequeño, nos duchábamos y teníamos que tener cuidado que el agua no saliera fuera. La habitación no tenía ventanas, que por el precio podríamos entender, pero es que se escuchaba todo del pasillo, y segura que ellos a nosotros también. La ventana dba al pasillo cosa que no entiendo.

Good accommodation for location & comfort

Good accommodation for my needs. Room was large & comfortable. Big balcony.

Bathroom was very small - don't know why it's the case when room is so large.

Great location to access the CBD, close to Trams, Southern Cross station and Casino.

The hotel is in a great location and close to the Conference and Exhibition centre for my needs. The room was of good size with a small kitchenette, fridge, micro and dining table. Plenty of room for all my things. . The only grip was the hotel does not offer breakfast but does give you alternative solutions like delivery etc. The cafe next door has a excellent range of breakfast. Check in and out was very smooth staff were very polite, would like a staying again in the future.

The bathroom is a little small, but ok for one person, but its what it is. Its very functional and plenty of space in the room itself.

Bathroom far too small and not very private, just a glass cubby in the corner of the room, no bench space to put toiletries near the basin only a metal cabinet over the toilet. Hardly any pressure in the shower, very inadequate

Great location...but

- Friendly staff - Excellent location - Handy swivel tv - The room is compact but tidy - Good sized fridge

- Slippery shower tiles, almost fell so I had to stand on a floor towel to shower - Unpleasant ordour from drain - Curtains curl on the edges and don't reach the floor so it was difficult to sleep for the two nights I was there as the room has too much light streaming in.

Good location

The location is great. The apartment was nice.

The bathroom was really bad. Very dated and after having a shower the whole bathroom is wet. Not quite convenient when you want to go to the toilets and the floor is soaked.

Fairly large room with many facilities that made the guest self sufficient. Easy walk to many attractions or use of trams just outside the building. Not far from Southern Cross station

Taxi would not take us to railway station this is bad for travellers with multiple bags especially if over 60 even offered more money for ride Taxi drivers are killing your city

Good property, no issues, very clean. 24 hour reception.

Easy process to check in, staff were nice, very clean room, good amenities. Reception is open 24 hours, which was handy. Our room was ready early. Good layout room. No noise or issues with being able to hear other people.

I phoned Oaks before booking to confirm we were able to drop our bags off before check in and ask about parking, they said they had parking on site but the staff member didn't mention it was extra cost and run by an external company. It was $35 for the night IF we didn't take our car out again, which could have been a problem if we were going to a show or dinner and wanted to drive. Luckily we didn't. So on arrival we were advised of this and it was a pretty big extra cost comparative to the price of accommodation for the night. If I had have known I would have made other arrangements or stayed elsewhere. To their credit this wasn't the staff members fault who checked us in but we could have stayed in a more central location for that price. Then when we left it charged us $70 and then chewed up our ticket at the machine before we got to the gate so we didn't even get a receipt to sort it out. Carpark isn't run by Oaks Hotels but it was a frustrating experience that could have been completely avoided.

Great location and room size was good.

Shower screen had stains and water sprays everywhere when having a shower. Floors are covered in water and had to wipe up with towels. Sinks are very small, but not a massive issue.

Great location close to rail and tram Staff we great

Room smelled like smoke, especially near the sink and rubbish bin but I could still smell it when on the bed. Stain on the top sheet so I remade the bed with the stain on the other side Tiles were cracked & uneven in the bathroom near the door. It was a slip hazard. Microwave too high for me to remove the hot food safely.

A quick city trip with plenty of space.

The room was very spacious. Queen size bed with a large living space and multiple windows looking out to the street. Since it was winter it was nice to have a reverse cycle heater that I could easily adjust to match my comfort levels.

The space between the bed and the bathroom was very tight. I am a thin person so it was ok but if you were larger or have mobility issue this would not work for you. In comparison to the bathroom it was very small. Also there is a cupboard over the toilet... make sure the lid is closed on the toilet before opening.
