Necesita reforma

La ubicación

Ascensor fuera de servicio, toallas en mal estado, mobiliario viejo, bañera desconchada, puerta que no abría bien, colchón y almohada muy incomoda y en general aspecto viejo sin renovación

Um bom custo benefício!!!

Apesar de ser difícil para chegar no hotel a localização está perto de tudo e na rua central.

Café da manhã um pouco fraco, mas bom.

Not much besides prime location!

Prime location, old times vibes, modest but included breakfast, ability to leave luggage, comfortable bed

Dirty, probably never cleaned floor in the room; strangers hair across the room including shower cabin (gross!!), slow and unreliable Wi-Fi, non-functional elevator, non-English speaking staff, non-finished lightning fixture on the ceiling, not enough power sockets, old and disgusting standalone AC unit, smelly closet

Disappointing

Location within walls of old Town

The heater stopped working at night, and water flowed from it, which we had to wipe the water with towels. The room temperature dropped to 10 degrees in the room by the morning. We are very frozen. Nobody can help you because there are no staff from 11 pm to 8 in the morning .. There is no water pressure at all.

awesome experience to be in the castle.

loved the view from our balcony. what an awesome experience to be able to stay within the castle walls. this is one of my favourite castles.

Nice place to go

When I locked myself out of the room, with no staff there, there was an emergency number for me to call to get me back in. BtW This place has THE BEST showers I've seen up to now in Portugal

They didn't answer the emergency number at first... (But if you keep your key with you, this doesn't matter). Answered it the third timez and had a perfect solution

disappointing and inadequate

location

no parking and no lift when claimed it had both. no warning that this changed. not enough toilet paper . no air conditioning just a ineffective cooler

Nice experience living in a walled town.

An old style hotel in a historic setting. If you like it, that’s charm. If you don’t like it, that’s dated.

WiFi works on and off in room, have to go down to the sitting room.

Hope the hotel can get better aircondition otherwise it is not recommended to spend a night there.

personnel are helpful and friendly. Location is in the middle of the town.

I can understand the building is quite old so they don't make it modern. However the antique stand-alone aircondition doesn't work well to cool down and sounds like a train...We had to turn it off at night and open the window to sleep. Price is very high compared to what you can get.

Obidos

The hotel is in a great location, being within the walls of the town made it really special. The hotel is very close to restaurants, cafes and is perfect for sight seeing. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very enjoyable and nice.

I really like the staff and their sympathy. The hotel was having works, but even with that the stay was very nice.

Just the repair works with all the guests there.

Very good

The bathtub looks on pictures much bigger, that was misleading. It was big enough for a child but we could laugh about it.

In the historic centre of beautiful Óbidos. Nice bed, friendly people. Good breakfast, well prepared in covid times and a very friendly woman who took care of it. Shower was nice, bathtub to small. Free WiFi was working also perfect by the way.

Amazing breakfast at this historic hotel with character

The breakfast was great! The place has a lot of character and charm. Location is perfect. Some reviewers have complained about this hotel being older but I thought everything was very good. Sure, it’s not super modern but that’s why it’s called a History hotel. ;) I think the hotel has also upgraded its facilities recently.
