Comfortable bed clean room with lovely style and fantastic staff😁

Beautiful really stylish the room was large with huge tv in the lounge part of the room with lots of channels no extra charge with a comfy couch and a big comfy bed for my pooch who was treat like the vip she is! Breakfast prepared for her by the chef and the breakfast for myself was so delicious best ever really the produce is locally sourced and really good quality ingredients. They do cheese and meat boards that are also delicious and don’t cost the earth. Looking forward to going back when they have established themselves more and offer dinner which they did mention is the plan. Nothing was too much for them I had a lovely stay and extended it a night as I loved it that much. It’s spotless too I can’t forget that, bathroom lovely with nice products to try out which they do sell also. Thanks everyone me and daisy loved our stay

Really wonderful, peaceful stay in beautifully decorated hotel.

Absolutely stunning property with beautiful, spacious room. Facilities were perfect. Everything about the layout of the room had been well thought through. Staff were wonderful and attentive.

All in all very comfortable and extremely well furnished, loved the bed and the sofa.

We didn't take part in the breakfast I am sorry about that. The location was fine.

In shower stall no shelf for toiletries etc. We found the basin a little on the small side.

it was close enough to walk

we were a group of 3 young girls on our 1st girls weekend away so we were nervous to begin with but after waking up after our first night someone opened the door with a key and walked in on us and seen far more than should have been seen by anyone else!! after that we didn’t want to leave so we only went for food and straight back so to say the unprofessional staff saying oh sorry I didn’t know anyone was in this room is an absolute joke! even changed our train home to leave early the next morning as no one could pick us up that night

Superb

Friendly, family-orientated establishment, warm welcome, made us feel relaxed and were happy to help with any questions we had, staff were helpful, flowers and prosecco and a card on arrival for my g/f as her birthday and all the staff knew so lots of happy returns which was lovely, beautiful room, clean and tidy, bed was so comfy, it was warm and cosy, just perfect for us, little walk into city centre which is a lovely way to see the sights of beautiful York, loved every minute of our trip away,

Breakfast could've been hotter on the 1st day, and the urn didn't seem to be getting up to high enough temp, but there was no drama getting the kettle on for piping hot tea and following day brekkie served on hot plates so much better, didn't spoil the weekend for me and as it was quite delicious made little difference to trip away, good to see lots of local produce on the menu, love the place and highly recommend a stay here,

I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Just some minor details would make it so much better

Breakfast was good and room warm. Location was great for City Centre and could walk from Railway Station.

Room was tiny. No one came in during stay to clean room or replenish milk teas etc. Reading lamp didn’t work and blind was difficult to close as was obstructed by wardrobe. Toilet rolls in shared bathroom ran out and I had to into cleaners room to get some. Having said all that I would stay again.

It's not completely dreadful, but could do with some better maintenance of rooms.

The bathroom door didn't lock. The shower glass shield get moving when trying to have a shower, causing splashes. When we tried to check out there was no management staff around. Had to give our room key to a cleaner. Also, our room was always cold, the radiator wasn't very effective. Also, there could be more electrical plugs for phone chargers etc. Had to plug in one of the bedside lamps ourselves on arrival.

Location is OK - about a 20 min walk into the city. Bedroom was adequate with a comfortable bed. Bathroom quite small but functional Good breakfast Nice quiet area Ample parking.

A nice quiet stay,on the whole just what I expected.

Staff were helpfull,location was quiet.breakfast was nice with good selection of food choices .

No staff on reception when I arrived, I dont know if this was down to covid restrictions still in place.Saying that breakfast was served at sister hotel was a little confusing first day.

Very satisfying stay, except the breakfast coffee

Good location- about 20min walk from the city centre. On site car park at the rear of the building. The interior of the b&b is old and not fancy, but the beds are fresh, new and very comfortable. Duvets are thick and very warm. Bathroom is renovated - the shower is big and the toilet is new. There's TV and a hairdryer in the bedroom. The room temperature was great- maybe even a bit too warm at night. Breakfast included: fresh fruits, coffee, tea, juice, cereals and milk, porridge and traditional English breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato and mushrooms) , vegetarian option available.

I think the breakfast could be improved. The fried egg was perfect on the inside but would be better with a bit of colour/ crispiness at the edges. The bacon was okay, although a more fatty one would be better. The sausage was okay, just not my favourite. COFFEE! Coffee was awful. I hated the taste.

excellent location,nice room ,I was located in the annexe part which was clean,warm and has en-suite ,tv and armchair ,table.parking was fine ,staff was friendly and breakfast was great,very nice fresh ingredients

radiator needs a thermostatic valve ,you can control it but it seems to be that the rad is either on or off ,I like it quite cool but would be nice for a constant comfortable temp instead of turning it off when it’s too hot and turning it when it’s too cold but all good 👍

Exceptional

Small but comfortable room, well-heated, spotless modern bathroom with quality upgrades. Very peaceful and excellent sound insulation. Fantastic English breakfast, not just juice and sweet rolls!
