Super hotel for relaxing stay in El Chalten

Super hotel in central El Chalten. Comfortable room and lovely large lounge area for relaxation, as well as comfy bar area. Excellent breakfast including cooked to order eggs/omelettes, and cold drinks & cookies available in lobby during the day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants nearby and fabulous ice cream shop just down the road!

Our room got very warm despite radiators off and windows open.

Non do 10 perché il Wi-Fi nelle stanze non andava al meglio (la sera non si potevano ascoltare podcast o video forse perché molti erano attaccati); In una struttura di alto livello non dovrebbe essere cosi

Beautiful, worth the price

Beautiful boutique hotel, clean, well-maintained, felt welcome by the friendly staff. Various sweet options for breakfast. Plenty of restaurants, just a few minutes down the road. For those that are particularly interested in hikes, there is Ignacio who is present at the hotel helping and encouraging people to go on unique trails (in the right weather conditions).

Large windows and stunning views.

Soundproofing could be a bit better. Don't expect to pay the official USD rate (plus VAT) if you are not an Argentine resident AND don't have cash. I negotiated that, but it wasn't easy.

rude staff, trying to rip you off

the view

the staff was rude and asked me to cancel my booking and leave after a refused to pay with dolor blue exchange, and kept laying to me about the hotel policy which is not shared on the booking. please make sure that understand that they make you pay a lot more than what’s shared on the listing more than 80%.

Views up the Valley

A little hard to find ( no internet connection in area for maps ) but previous reviews telling us it was up a gravel road off the main road helped. View from room and lounge was beautiful and loved the sound of the wind blowing around outside while we were warm and cozy inside. Reception super helpful and friendly.

A little superficial maintenance needed but doesn't detract from experience.

International tourists be AWARE. By the time you check in they Will charge you the Double on your reservation in pesos so they keep the benefit of Dollar tarjeta or Dollar Blue for themselves. Other Hotels are doing the same in El Chalten. It is pure internacional tourist exploitation. I had to pay Double and it was already reported to booking.com

A beautiful hotel with friendly service.

The breakfast buffet was the best we’ve had. Lots of delicious food and options. The dinner was fine dining and delicious. The room was spacious and had the best view. All the staff, specifically the receptionists, we’re very very helpful and friendly.

The beds were a little on the hard side for our liking. We also didn’t realize how windy it is and how loud the wind is. Nothing wrong with it, kind of made for a nice white noise in the background while sleeping.

loved the staff, especially front desk man and dining staff were incredibly helpful. such a perfect spot to come back and have a drink after a long hike. food at their restaurant was excellent too

Great luxury in a a small hikers town.

Great room and exceptional view of Fitz Roy. Great food and great staff.

Exceptional

The hotel, facilities, and staff were all fabulous. The large windows with the valley view was an unforgetable way of greeting the morning. Breakfast was ample, wide choices, and high quality. Dinner was fabulous. The jacuzzi/hot tub with the mountain view was a perfect way to relax after hiking. The staff were great. Location was perfect, particulalry with a car.

Very nice hotel but expensive

The view from the room is amazing (make sure you get the valley view). We got a free room upgrade which was great. The room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Nice relaxation room with hot tubs, saunas, shower, loungers and stunning mountain view. You can request robes before you go down. Breakfast was the best we had during the trip - there is a large variety of things to eat including several healthy options. Staff speaks English and was always quick to respond to any requests.

There is no benefit to using cash - they will charge at blue dollar rate. This makes the value not so great.

wonderful hotel!

beautiful location - especially if you have a room overlooking the valley. the staff were all lovely. we especially appreciated being able to ask Ignacio (the local guide) recs for hikes - esp with rainy weather.
