Wonderful hostera and experience in El Chalten.

Wonderful design, location close to trails, view of Fitz Roy, made bag lunches for day hikes, great recommendations from Anna at the front desk, Fab restaurant (The Asidores) next door, will definately return.

loved it all. The breakfast spread could be a bit broader, but it was very adequate.

Wonderful Hosteria, clean, quaint and mostly modern and updated. Comfy and friendly

we stayed 2 nights. the first night room was large and modern and very comfortable. good bed and nice shower. But the second stay we had an older smaller room and outdated. Bathroom needs upgrade. The sitting area and breakfast area are lovely and comfortable. the Staff are helpful and nice. Breakfast was excellent, as was the coffee. Home made croissant, eggs, meat, cheese and juice.

As I said above the second stay we had an older smaller room and outdated. Bathroom needs upgrade. Not at all bad but does no compare to our first room. The place was almost empty so I dont know why we didnt get the nicer room. Otherwise there is nothing not to like. Its fabulous.

Lovely boutique hotel in El Chalten. The room was excellent and the communal space was really nice to relax in after a days hike. Staff very helpful.

Best Stay in El Chalten

Hosteria Kaulem is well located in El Chalten. The accomodation is great, they have a cafetaria. The room is really nice and they have everything you need. The staff is amazing and help you with the locals tours. The breakfast is great also. I really recommend it! The wifi works really well.

Great living space when you get in. Very welcoming staff and always with a smile. Good and extensive breakfast and happy to cook for you whatever you ask for (being on the menu).

A bit expensive for what it is. Chalten’s prices I guess.

This is an unexpected gem for a little trekking town.

Wonderful staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Large bathroom counter. Delicious wine selection and very good food, I still dream about their meat and cheese board. Loved this place.

Hot water takes a while.

A wonderful place to stay while exploring cute El Chaltén and its gorgeous surroundings.

I would give Hosteria Kaulem more stars if I could! It is simply wonderful! The staff is so friendly (a bonus: they speak English); the breakfast is robust and delicious, with many items cooked to order—no heat lamps here!; the location is great (I could see the top of Fitz Roy from my window when the clouds cooperated!); and the building itself is really cool. The staff are eco-minded and focused on sustainability. My room was large, comfortable, and had water pressure in the shower that was unbeatable! Another bonus: there is a comfy lounge that doubles as a cafe. If you arrive via car, there is plenty of free parking outside. Also, when I was there it was very quiet!

good breakfast; had a bath which was great after the long hikes; nice and helpful staff; good internet (which is not a given in chalten!!)

The coffee was especially delicious! Also the receptionist Augustine was wonderful and helped us prepare for our visit and hike more than you can imagine! He had great recommendations and was so friendly.

Great and relaxed hosteria in El Chalten, amazing staff.

+ What needs to be mentioned at first is the staff! We have never been hosted so friendly, helpful and always attentive. Augustin was of great help with tours and dinner places, he was always super friendly! Shana (?) made us great breakfast and lunch boxes every day. + Kaulem has only 4 rooms so it is very personal and relaxed + rooms are nice and cosy and the common area (which is also a public cafe during the day) is very comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. + the whole house is nicely decorated with art pieces from local artist (also for sale)

- there is nothing to complain about.

Wonderful stay. Will definitely book again if back.

Super nice facility, nice bed and pillows. Has home made bread and champagne for our new year Eve stay. there is a restaurant/living room in the hotel, walking out of our room to have breakfast feels like home. The English speaking staffs are very helpful, who helped us book taxi and sort out some complicated logistics issue. Our room can see Fitz Roy from the window, very cool. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t very nice during our stay

We need storage our luggage for a day after we left for a hike in. Our luggage was left under the stairs unattended for the whole time. Nothing lost, but I wish it could be a bit more secured.

Great location.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely lounge area and great location. Would recommend.

The ground floor bedroom windows could not be left open as stray cat kept jumping in. The bed would benefit from a mattress protector and better quality bedding
